Unfortunately I do not have a lot of choices where to shop because Rite Aid has a lock on Medicare covered prescriptions in this town. Consider me as being a disgruntled customer that wishes I had more shopping options than having no choice but to shop at this store. The Seaside Rite Aid pharmacist informed me that according to their computer, the Advair disc I needed was in stock in Warrenton and I drove 36 miles round trip to that Rite Aid location only to learn they don't stock it and never have, as it is special order only! Hopefully a company like Amazon will get into the pharmacy business as they know who the customer is and how to give prompt service. Maybe Rite Aid should reconsider their business model as what is offered does not work! I expected more from a national company and look forward to the day that this store closes when some other pharmacy opens and delivers service with a good attitude.

They tell you a 'few more minutes', which is 30 minutes at the LEAST. Complete joke. After 35 minutes, I left. I picked up the prescription 10 minutes later, after stopping at the UPS store. The prescription was in the bin. The clerk never looked for it the first time she helped me. Just routinely said, "It'll be a few more minutes." They need to open up a food court or Starbucks in there for the amount of time they make you wait 'a few more minutes'. A joke; a shockingly inept team working at the pharmacy there in Warrenton. I'd have more confidence in a group of Jr. High School kids working in there. When I was asked by the clerk if I had any questions for the pharmacist, I replied, "Yes, if my prescription was ready the whole time, why did I have to wait?" She got snippy - "Look, we're really busy; we're doing the best we can." But are you? Wouldn't doing the best you can include checking to see if the prescription was ready BEFORE telling a customer it wasn't ready and have a seat to wait? I would highly recommend going ANYWHERE else.

They wont allow you to 'fix' while in line, you have to go stand in a long line with one overworked customer svc person, and its a major hassle, especially if you're popsicles are thawing. I am an astute shopper - I'm expert on using their app, clipping their coupons, reading the ads before I shop, etc., and to boot I worked grocery early in my long career. These were genuine errors. We've had to endure a near year-long revamp of the store, its nearly finished, and I've yet to to see ANYWHERE any improvement in the experience. Its mind boggling how much money they spent to achieve NOTHING. When I was a checker, they came out with the most efficient way to process items; customer puts product on belt, the employee scans it and puts it right in the shopping bag. Boom, handled once! Super efficient! A few years ago some idiot with no clue how checkstands operate came up with the bright idea of having the checker scan it, put it on another belt, where another employee bags it. Handled TWICE. And this store NEVER has 1:1 checker/bagger. Today there were FIVE checkers, and ONE bagger. Fred Meyer continues its increasing abuse of plastic. Too many instances to write here.

Got a chance to check out Peninsula Pharmacy. I was actually looking for postcards as I'm a collector of postcards and magnets wherever I travel to. However, their postcards weren't to my liking, but I still walked around the place to see what goodies I can find. I bought 3 pairs of socks... avocados, buzzing bees, and crackling octopus. SO CUTE! It's a nice pharmacy that not only sells pharmacy stuff, but all sorts of other stuff. However, when I was there lingering around the socks for so long because I could not decide, I felt I was being watched by one of the women who works there. Just a feeling I got... you just know when someone has an eye on you LOL. I'm not referring to the romantic way LOL. Anyway, I had to quickly decide otherwise they might have gotten more suspicious of my intent. All I wanted to do was to pick the best designs. It's not like I was going to run out with them socks without paying LOL. I always pay for my goods. Anyhoo, do drop on by when you're in Long Beach, WA. Perhaps you'll pick up a pair of socks or two. Just don't linger LOL. Happy Shopping!

Numerous times I have called in to make sure it's ordered and have received confirmation it will be available at a specific day and time, only to go in and be told it's not ready yet and I need to wait an hour before it's ready. The typical response is how over-worked and short handed they are and how it's not their fault. To take it a step further, I'm regularly told that not only must I call in to make sure my online request has gone through, but that I'm also supposed to call in to ensure the order is ready before I come in to pick it up! Are you freaking kidding me? They know that every month that my necessary medication is due, yet EVERY month it's a fight. The staff could care less, and actually attempt to make me feel like it's MY fault and that I should just roll over and accept their poor service. We are the customer and we should be the ones they're assisting, not the other way around. They know they're only one of two pharmacies in the area and they don't appreciate their customers. The female manager is completely snarky, disrespectful, and callous. This is the worst run business I've ever encountered.
