Spoke to Debbie who informed me that I could do a refill but that it might not be in stock and how hard it is to get this medication, yada yada yada. So I tell her ok as long as I can submit the refill request, no problem. Not even 30 min later I get a text notification telling me my refill is ready for pick up. I'm so mad at this point because I've already driven back home. Called the store to speak with someone about what happened, and got Mike. I explained to Mike what took place and he said all he could do was speak with her "Debbie". Mind you this was around 2:30 this afternoon which is not peak line time and "Debbie" could have done the decent thing and checked to see if the script was in stock. I would have most appreciated the option to wait, to minimize the number of trips I make back and forth. Basically, if you think you are a long time valued customer here, you're not. Also, if you place refill request in store , be sure to ask if it's in stock if you don't want to make several trips back and forth.

I realize I took these other pharmacies for granted. In comparison, this CVS and the Walgreens on El Camino have (in my experience) had consistently decent customer service and have always been well stocked. This CVS seems to frequently ask for customer service feedback after each visit. I commend CVS on making an effort to improve their customer service experience. I always feel welcome and greeted by the associates working at this store and the workers seem helpful when I ask questions. Their pharmacy staff is not as friendly, especially the same two people who work with customers...but they are OK. The interactions with them do not dissuade me from visiting this store. Probably out of all the nearby pharmacies, this one is my favorite both for vaccines and quick and friendly service.

But that's on me. :) I like the intimacy of this CVS. I know most of the employees and they are always so helpful. No matter how busy it is, they will drop everything to help you. Although their prices can be higher than other stores for some things (get your batteries at Home Depot instead), they are constantly sending coupons though the mail and email and they save serious money!! I've saved $30 on one trip before!! Go ahead and make fun of their receipts, but I love the coupons. They are tailored for what I buy (usually) and save me lots of $$. They're always open when I need them and they have a pharmacy that usually has enough staff to keep people from waiting in line too long. During that time, we have maintained positive relationships with the store's employees. However, during my recent visit, I was treated disrespectfully by the new store supervisor in front of several customers. While I was trying to understand why I was being charged sales tax on an item when my coupon had not been applied, she told me to "shut my mouth." During the interaction, she also behaved in a manner I found threatening and inappropriate, including repeatedly opening her mouth and displaying her gum after I asked her to stop. I felt humiliated and intimidated by her conduct. One of the customer I believe she talked to came and threatened to beat me up out side the store. She also followed me to the parking lot to take a picture of my car license plate. I am filing a formal complaint and asking CVS to review the store's surveillance footage before I consult with my attorney.

Hopefully, the reduction of people changing pharmacies helps the unhappy staff here keep up with medications and vaccine visits. Safeway pharmacy staff are also nice, but so are all of their pharmacists.
