I have this CVS in bridgepointe Pk, San Mateo for over 10 Years. They change their manager there very often. Up to the last one, he is totally rude, non professional, talk fast and does not care of customer's need. He gave me a brand of eye drop which is difficult for me to use, I request for other brands. He keep told me that is the only available at the time. He gave me number bottle of eye drops base on number of At the end, I will short of medicine. Be prepared to be treated subhuman and lower your overall expectations or you'll leave frustrated and disappointed. I made an appointment 3 weeks ago for another COVID vaccination and for some reason they were unprepared when I arrived. No greeting just someone yelling from inside the pharmacy something close to what sounded like my name, then "What are you here for?". I was told to "Take a seat" twice although they weren't near ready. Another person came over and started slamming boxes of bandaids on the counter and I realized I didn't want her near me with a needle so I left. Filty place with huge piles of trash on the floors. Cardboard boxes filled with trash, bags of garbage piled up, dirty counters, staff with nasty attitudes who don't have it in them to speak respectfully. read more

I've been going to this pharmacy for over 10 years and had only minor problems until now. New staff has arrived a few months ago and they are rude, impatient and clearly do not care about the patients. My prescriptions aren't available until I completely run out of the médecine. If I try to ask a second question by phone, they simply hang up on me.! They've given me a drug I specifically told them I don't want more than once. I'm so tired of arguing to get my prescriptions on time ! This has been the worst pharmacy experience ever! I'm just hoping these reviews are so bad that cvs fires whoever is running the current fiasco so maybe a reasonable group will take their place. read more

Worst customer service not helpful at all. Sadly I needed help finding a medicine & it was not busy they are not friendly at all.

The Asian pharmacist girl in glasses and long black hair was extremely rude and unprofessional. My birth control pills was prescribed 12/2 she said they received 12/3 but cannot give the Pilis they had it right in front me to me unless I pay out of pocket bc I was on their "reverse claim" list and my insurance has expired . She said "we put customers on the list under two situations: either you requested to do so , or it has been 2 weeks sitting on our shelf without being pickup." First, my school health insurance expired 12/14, birth control prescription they received 12/3, still should be covered. I was in the store today, 12/16, 16-3=13, it is not beyond the 2 weeks period yet. I didn't request a reverse claim by canceling the order. She refused to give me the birth controls which is free under my insurance for annual supply amount and what pissed me off the most was, when I asked for a REASONABLE explanation why neither of the conditions was met but I was on their reverse claim list, she first tried to be blurring on the day they received the prescription by saying "December" but without which date, this is important for deciding if it was beyond the 2 weeks window for pickup. And then she kept interrupting me and she said I spoke "over" her. I. went to the store in rain trying to get this birth controls important for female and leave without wasting too much time, she couldn't canje her explanation why they can't give the prescription the had right in front me unless I pay out of pocket and eventually she chose to the last worst resort to be TOTALLY declined to be reasonable and she WALKED AWAY. I called CVS complaint number right there luckily the lady on the phone helped me kindly, based on the lady's attitude and sincere effort and options provided, I chose to leave the location without making a bigger scene, also I chose to get my new school insurance then place another refill with my annual free supply that wasn't be used this time, instead of paying out of pocket today and get refund from my new insurance later by submitting a claim. Luckily, I still have at least 10 days supply home remaining. Consumer rights, asking for help from the right person. The young boy who works as Pharmacy Technician is much more suitable to represent CVS staff than that women in my opinion. By the way, when I was on the wait for the CVS customer support line in the store this cvs located, which is a target, I did a bit shopping and got some items I needed so no time was wasted. read more

LOL. This pharmacy. If you want efficiency, go here! Okay, laughing aside, review of my experience is below. Location: This pharmacy is inside of a Target in a large shopping center. When you enter the store, the pharmacy is on the far left corner. Appointment: There were lots of available appointments for a vaccination so I booked an appointment at this location. The check in process was pretty quick and I was asked to wait off to the side, in a "vaccination area." The vaccination area is a little section comprised with a divider around one chair, a bench to the side, and a few chairs nearby (for some reason each of the chairs were stacked on another). Service: The pharmacist was kind but seemed very rushed even though no one was in front of me. She confirmed 3x which vaccination I was receiving and made sure that my doctor had my updated information. In regards to aftercare, she was very vague and said my potential symptoms were like my previous vaccinations (this was for a series). There was no need for monitoring or recommendations, just goodbye! haha. Later on, I realized that they had answered the screening questions for me too. How convenient, haha. So, all in all I got what I needed, but some of their practices were odd (and concerning). Tina the pharmacist is the best . Always helpful and friendly and remembers us. The front desk staff needs more training on being friendly and welcoming . Not that they need to but it's always nice to be recognized when you go there every 3 weeks !! Not sure about cleaning between customers and their hand sanitizer is super smelly strong! Social distancing between will call and pick up needs work. Probably not their fault since they are inside Target and that's a busy store. This Pharmacy is now the only place I go to get my prescription refills, not only because it's within walking distance of my apartment but also because the staff are so helpful. Being Asthmatic (very well controlled) I have to get refills on average every 2-3 months and the staff here make the process so easy. I simply call them up or drop in, tell them exactly what I need and they will contact my Doctor for me with a request of a refill. I then get a call 1-3hrs later notifying me it's ready for pick up, awesome! Every place should make it that easy. Not only that but being a Red Card holder I also get an extra 5% discount card after every fifth refill. I also get my regular Flu Vaccinations here which no appointment is needed for and the staff are always full of helpful advice when I have questions. Skip Walgreens, CVS ect and come here! read more

I have done business with CVS stores for more than 20 years, and I had to return an electric device over the counter because my insurance sent me another one . I tried brought back the unopened box containing the device along with the receipt and they refused to take it back. I asked what the policy was in returning items and Gigi could not tell me anything. She asked me that I return in a week to talk to the manager, which I find pointless. Another person (Brat) came and told me the same, that they couldn't do anything for me until the manager comes back. I just can't believe that a corporation can't have policies set up so they don't waste customers time. I rather eat the $33 device than going back there. I'm very disappointed and I will try my best to avoid doing business with CVS again. read more

I have been going to CVS for well over 7 years. My list of medicine is unusually high due to a horrible accident, through the most painful days of my life I have been treaded with respect and care that a loyal customer should receive. However today I had an unpleasant interaction not just once or twice but three times. (Hillsdale/metro cry) was made to feel as though I was an imposition and was pushed off and redirected to someone else to help. Fortunately I went to my regular CVS location at Bridgepointe, San Mateo where I have come to know as a great CVS with helpful caring associates that want to do their best. Made a 12:15 PM PT appointment online for a Covid vaccine booster today. When I got there, they said they were running 45 minutes behind. I ended up waiting there 1 hour and 15 minutes before I got my shot. They may have have forgotten about me until I went and asked after waiting one hour. The staff working there were fine and were very busy today, but I wish they could keep their appointment times and give more accurate estimates of delays. Otherwise, the pharmacy vaccine area was clean, spacious and modern. read more

My MIL had a cold for a week and couldn't shake it off. Her daughter told her to get some over the counter cold med. that contains honey and lemon. The pharmacist just waved her hands in a very vague way and said anyone of the cold med. will help. But MIL told her she has sever allergic reaction to ibuprofen...no expression, no help. Fine, so MIL looked for it herself and after 30 minutes and time to pay. The same lady asked to see ID. My MIL just arrived from London and doesn't carry her passport with her to shop at a local store and she is 67 years old. The lady behind the counter just said no sale and put the stuff away without an explanation. My poor MIL walked back home(30mins trekking) without medicine :( What has happened to customer service?! I hate giving one star reviews, I really do. But this pharmacy deserves it. The employees are nice but they do a horrible job of managing expectations. I came in to get a simple flu shot and was told it would take about 15 minutes. One hour and 20 minutes, I still didn't get my flu shot. The customer service is pretty poor. I had a prescription I want to fill and they told me that they have to order the meds because they don't have it in store at this moment and it will be available the next day. I went back one week later to pick it up and they told me that they couldn't fill the prescription because it is a brand name drug and they don't sell brand name drug and somebody should have called you already to tell you about this. I said that I never got any phone call and they could have told me when I dropped my prescription off so I don't waste my time. They apologized for it. At least they apologized so I gave them 2 star, otherwise only one. read more

It was my first time getting my meds here; I was one of the a few customers. Even though it wasn't busy at all, the pharmacist (Asian male) tried to rush to ring me up and did NOT give me any instructions on how to take the meds. I had to read the instructions myself after I got home. He was really unprofessional and rude. It was a REALLY POOR customer service experience and I will never come back again. Target is going downhill, no wonder their revenue drops so much. Good selection of items but they will not ring up items from the pharmacy area... They will only let you purchase your prescriptions. I only needed band aids and neosporin which I found right across from the counter, but they refused to ring me up. They sent me over the the long lines of people buying clothes, shoes, and household items... so I left! They are so unhelpful to Target shoppers. Seems like a big waste of counter space & staff when they can't even help out their fellow target employees who are swamped at the registers. read more

What is it with the incessant pressure to join their "Pharmacy Rewards Club?" Despite repeated requests to not badger me every time I pick up a prescription, and the fact that I don't want my personal information sold to the evil pharma companies, they continue to insist on bugging me. I decided to ignore their nagging today, and the guy wouldn't give me my RX until I answered him. I don't give a hoot about saving money when I shop at Target, because this store smells so bad (chemicals from the highly processed products), that I can't deal with shopping at this store. read more

This pharmacy is outstanding. They provide the best customer service. They always seem to be busy but still manage to help everyone at once. Pharmacists and technicians are all knowledgable of there all their products are! You can come drop off an Rx and they will have it ready in 15-25 minutes! That is great! LOVE LOVE LOVE this pharmacy. Outstanding customer service. I went in the other day to get one of my prescriptions and of course my insurance was being difficult not approving my medication which needed a prior authorization or some crap like that? The young gentleman by the name of Christian actually went the extra mile and contacted the insurance right in front of me! It took a while because the insurance company was just being difficult but Christian made sure I went home with at least some medication until insurance figured their crap out! A month ago I had my prescription filled at this location. I when I picked up my prescription the pharmacist technician did not ask if I wanted the pharmacist to go over how to take this medication. I checked out. But realized that there was a charge for my prescription (there normally isn't) the representative told me that he ran the prescription through my insurance and told me that was what I was going to pay so I did. I then leave the store. Then,I get to my car and I open the bag with my prescription in it. I noticed that it was in a different package than usual. I then read the label, and it was NOT my prescription. The Pharmacist technician gave me someone else's prescription. I went back and returned the wrong prescription. The tech did not even give me an apology. I then called their corporate offices & explained what happened. They were aware that they broke protocol but did very little to better my experience with them. I'm ashamed to say that they offered me a $25 dollar gift card. To me, this is setting a price on what my life is worth. What if I would've taken someone else's medication and gotten sick? Also, I wouldn't want ANYONE to know what medication I was taking if someone else walked away with my prescription. To me, medications are and should be kept confidential.
