This pharmacy can be very convenient! I shop here all the time. Unfortunately many times I am told they don't have my particular prescription, and recommend that I go to another pharmacy. often I have to wait a day or two to receive my medications. I feel this is some sort of bad planning on their part, whoever does the ordering and restocking is definitely a little remiss in their duties! Most of the time Customerservice is polite. But there is a young girl that works there her name is Laurel and she is absolutely cheerful, friendly helpful and kind! I am appreciating me some Laurel! Every time she answers the phone to every time she sees me, she is nothing but wonderful and I just wanna make sure somebody knows that there! So often we are inclined to only do reviews when we are unhappy about things things that do not go right, things that make you angry! I absolutely try not to do that so I'm here today to say, I know that Safeway Pharmacy has an amazing employee and her name is Laurel please don't ever let her go so few understand the true meaning of Customer Service! I have never dealt with such an empathetic, helpful pharmacy staff. They went out of their way to help me obtain my daughters medication.

Well, im in the process of transferring all my prescriptions to this pharmacy. Today I went to pick up my first refill and they were extremely rude to me, told me even though I was first in line that it would be 2 hours before it could be ready. I've never heard this ever, and they were extremely rude. I'm waiting on a call back from their district supervisor in charge of the pharmacy at safeway and will push for a resolve to the horrible customer service. Vivian the pharmacist is a real piece of work, doesn't know how to be nice was extremely rude to myself and my wife when she picked up the medication. I love April she's amazing any time there's been a problem April went out of her way to solve it and keep me advised along the way on what is happening . She's always friendly and polite . This is my favorite pharmacy by far my only issue is not with anyone that works there but occasionally they don't carry meds I needed and aren't familiar enough with Med-I-cal TARS which can be a big problem read more

I had my doctor refill a perception knowing that it was a bit early but with the pandemic going on I wasn't sure how quick things were happening so I was just planning ahead. I happened to go to Safeway the next day to shop and figured I would just check on the status (knowing it probably wouldn't be ready) and all I got from the pharmacist on duty was attitude. Rolling her eyes and comments that made me feel like I shouldn't have even asked. I was told " you should just wait till next week since you can't start taking it u til next week anyway." I understand but my doctor refilled it so I was just checking and last time I checked the pharmacist isn't my doctor. read more

NO. I started going here when I got my first non Kaiser insurance. They seemed competent & okay. Then I was on medi-cal & the service was VERY different. They gave me a hard time about medications. They told me I needed a waiver from medi-cal for a certain (NEEDED) med and NEVER TOLD ME THEY FILE THE WAIVER. I had to call Medi-Cal to find out I needed to request THEM to do that. Then getting them to do it took another week. I literally had to call every day after calling medi-cal to walk them through what they needed. They told me they do "hundreds" of waivers for medi-cal but they had never done "all this paperwork" which was standard per medi-cal. Meaning probably "hundreds" of medi-cal [patients prob were mistakenly denied coverage for medications. They were so horrible to me that I never went back after that. I have ins now. I will never give business to this pharmacy. read more

I needed my prescription filled and usually use a local pharmacy in Sebastopol where I can easily walk to. But I've been advised to stay at home during the Corona pandemic. Safeway pharmacies said that during this crisis they can mail your prescription to your home. For whatever reason, the Sebastopol Safeway said that they don't offer this service. So I called the Safeway Pharmacy in Rohnert Park. I spoke with the manager, Laurel. She was very professional and explained how this all worked. In this time of crisis, my RX is not crucial but it was refreshing to be taken care of by a true professional. Thank you Laurel. Honestly, getting my prescriptions from this pharmacy has been some of my worst experiences! On one occasion I waited in line for 20+ minutes to get my prescription. Mind you there was only 1 person in front of me and 1 person at the counter. The person in front of me finally left he got so fed up, but I decided to wait. Not only did they not acknowledge the fact that I was in line waiting, but when I got up to the counter they were extremely rude. I understand that they combined with Rite Aid pharmacy across the street, giving them a whole new set of prescriptions, but I don't think they should have taken on that responsibility if they couldn't handle it, or at least should have better customer service if they are going to make you wait! I'm just glad that I had time to waste. read more

Horrible excuses.They said they needed an hour and a quarter to fill my pain med. "come back,but we're going to close about then at 5pm,"(before holiday) Why ? Because the pharmacist had to be there? I think so. I got back right at the time they would be closing,and they were already walking out the door and wouldn't help. They had to have started closing before 5 ! And really bitchy about "We said so" Go to hell. read more

Safeways in Sonoma County, you all need to get you sh** together. Do you guys have an understanding that most people get off work around 4-6pm. So that's when we go grocery shopping. The lines are packed with people down your aisles because you've got one register open. And you staff are pissy and rude to customers because you are asking way to much of them. Help them out, schedule more staff during the high crowd portions of the day... I have mostly had great experiences at your stores. Most of the staff are respectful. This is obviously an upper management/corporate problem, I suggest hiring more people or working on getting better schedule management, this will help out your customers and show a bit more appreciation for your staff. Quit treating your staff like dairy cows and milking them till they're dry! read more

1 thing! the pharmacy employees are rude. we came here to pick up a prescription and the two employees who worked at the pharmacy were talking loudly and being rude toward us. we waited in line for more than 10 minutes and they were no help. we've also been getting calls that our prescription is ready to pick up and when we get there they dont have it and then they decide that its our fault. read more

Horrible customer service! The people there literally freak out if you ask them a question. They're really rude and show a lot of attitude. My mom was trying to ask them a question, she's not the best at english but you know what she's saying, and the girl at the front counter was acting like my mom was a baby and acted very sarcastic. I didn't catch her name but she was a blonde lady and was old. Everyone there seems to be in a bad mood. My sister went there like a week ago and they showed her attitude. All my sister said was that if they could wait five minutes while she called my mom if my mom wanted the prescription because it looked expensive to her My mom told my sister to get it and they were being mean. They were acting like it was the end of the world because she made a phone call. My sister showed them attitude right back and then they became all sweet and nice. They're pathetic!
