My doctor called in a prescription. It was my last day before my medicine ran out. I get to the pharmacy only for them to tell me that they were out of stock. The person at the counter said that I could fill it at any Safeway that had it in stock. I called a different pharmacy to try to get it and they couldn't run it because it was on the original pharmacy's queue to be filled so I still don't have my medicine and have now missed two doses thanks to their poor customer service that's even if I can fill it today. Why wouldn't they call to tell me that it was out of stock and that I needed to make other arrangements? It seems pretty poor and uncaring customer service. read more

Last review I gave was, to put it lightly, brutally honest. But since then, they've definitely stepped up their game. This is why I serve my reviews without a filter. My prescriptions are ready on time, a tech actually took it upon herself to make sure my account info was current & the app is finally working as it should. This goes to show that constructive criticism can be an asset to a business if they take it seriously. We all can grow and learn from our mistakes. I recently had my prescription filled here instead of Walgreens (because Walgreens is unbearable) and I'm really happy with them. I picked my medication up the morning after it was called in, and I only waited 20 min because one med wasn't quite ready. They were very friendly and I appreciated not having to wait forever when in a lot of pain. Since this is inside Safeway, my regular grocery store, I have seen some long lines, so do try coming when they open like I did . read more

I've had so many issues with other pharmacies and never have I had an issue coming here. Every single one of the staff members is so kind and so helpful. I have filled prescriptions at this location about 5 or 6 times. I have never met a staff of pharmacists and technicians that are so rude in my life. I have literally tried being overly nice and polite to get the type of interaction I desire from medical professionals with no luck. On one of my visits to fill a prescription, I was the only on in line there were 4 people behind the counter who would glance at me and not say a word. I stood there for 7 minutes before a tech came over and seemed so put off by having to help me. I presented my prescription and she snatched it out of my hand and said it will be ready tomorrow and walked away. I was stunned. I thought I was being linked and cameras would appear telling me it was just a joke. The pharmacist seemed to look up seemingly shocked herself but didn't say a word. I don't know what is going on with this pharmacy but it is toxic and I have no plans on returning. Hopefully someone in the organization cares enough to make some major changes, as this location needs it. read more

I sincerely understand that the world for pharmacist has changed, and I am sympathetic and empathetic, but only to appoint. This location is beyond rude. Every time I interact with them, two of the main pharmacist (not Laura) are aggressive, rude, disrespectful and self sabotage the negative interaction and response they receive from the patient/customers. They are extremely confrontational on the phone, to the point of belittling the patient/customer. Also, the training they provide for processing a prescription and notification is minimal to none. They will notify you via text or their app. However, when you get there it isn't actually ready. It is sitting in a box, and that box is on the floor, and they still have to go through the box and sort through all the prescriptions. WHY ARE PRESCRIPTIONS ON A DIRTY FLOOR?!?!? Therefore the patient/customer is then told they will have to come back after they sort through all the prescriptions. WHY DID YOU COMMUNICATE/NOTIFY THE PRESCRIPTION WAS READY?!?!? They also fail to inform a patient/customer when they are going to have to split up a prescription. In turn the patient/customer is surprised, and there is no further direction on when they will receive the remainder of the prescription. Again I understand there is a distribution issue but if they choose to not communicate, then they will continue to receive the negative and frustrating attitudes. They also have been caught in multiple lies, primarily telling patient/customers that they would not be able to find a prescription at any other pharmacy so they might as well wait for it to come into this location. This is an absolute outright lie. As twice now I have been told a prescription is not available. After being told this I left this location, went to my car and called Walgreens one time and King Soopers the other time and both had it available immediately. They also need to have better signage and direction specifically pertaining to ours and when they are not available. They continue to allow people to wait in line and then suddenly tell everyone to leave and to have to come back because they need to take their break. Wouldn't it be more proactive and advantageous to have some sort of sign that is put out prior to the break stating those in front of the sign will be helped anyone behind the sign will need to return and state why. Versus yelling at everybody in line that they need to leave because they are working an 11 hour shift and it's time for her break. Finally, many of the staff continue to complain to the patient/customers about their hours and how hard their days are. While this is understandable, this is extremely unprofessional, and only exacerbates the ongoing issues at this location. Again, the world for pharmacies has changed, but there needs to be some accountability and responsibility on part of the Pharmacy and the staff...in the end they set the tone. read more

I've called in the morning, around 9a when they open or you won't get anyone to answer the phone, to have a prescription filled multiple times so I can pick it after 6p when I get off work and they have never filled it making me wait sometimes an hour. I arrived for my 2:00pm appointment for Covid booster and flu vaccinations. Staff takes lunch break from 1:30-2:00 and I was about 4th in line. As they processed the prescription pickups, the Manager was also meeting and processing. She was businesslike but also friendly and turned me over to another staff member who verified my insurance, Medicare, and prior vaccinations for Covid. She then turned me over to a nurse that met me in a private area and administered the vaccines. I was out by 2:20 and could not be happier with my interaction with the team of VERY BUSY, but HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL and FUN and FRIENDLY. As I left, I took a moment, waved and caught the Manager's eye as I pointed to each of the 2 staff / nurse, then pointed to Manager and gave her 2 thumbs up to which she flashed a happy smile. read more

They don't answer the phone. Even when no customers are in line. They fill the wrong prescription on auto fill and are generally incompetent. Extremely frustrating. Automated system gives you a ready date 2 days after you refill and then it's still not ready. Their attitude in person isn't good either. read more

Every time I call in to have my prescriptions filled they act like they are being put out. I'm tired of the huffing over the phone and their talk of "well we can't fill it for three days". I only wish I had looked at reviews before I decided to move my prescriptions over to this Safeway in Lone Tree. My prescription was called in by my doctor on 12/13 and I never heard a word. For the last 3 days I have called over a dozen times both directly to store and was transferred and direct to pharmacy. No one answered any of those dozen calls. In addition I left 2 messages. Today I took time off and drove to the store. Yes my prescription was ready and all anyone could say is sorry we're busy. No text notification that prescription was ready. Great news is customers like me have choices. We shop there maybe 4 - 5 times a month and those business $$ plus prescriptions will be spent at another store. If you are looking for Customer Service I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere read more

Yes, I had a hard day, not a bad day, just a hard day. I am the caregiver of my 2 elderly parents one with dementia the other with a severe pain issue that required pain medication to be filled today. The doctor called in the Rx around noon. I hadn't heard anything by 5 so I called the Colorado Ave. Pharmacy, only then did his Rx get moved to "rush" status. I tried to explain to the tech that he needed his medication before I went home for the evening, she said it would take an hour for the Rx to be filled. I tried to explain to her my situation and wondered if it could be pushed to the front of the line. With a VERY CURT attitude she gave me her canned response so I asked to speak to the pharmacist, she said she is busy and put me on hold. I was on hold for over 21 minutes. The phone would ring but go right back into the cue. So I drove to the pharmacy while I was still on the phone. I spoke with the Pharmacist on duty (finally) and she was polite but had no interest in helping with getting my Rx filled quicker. So I waited in their waiting room, at one point the tech came through and I told her she had a bad attitude and she said "yes, yes I do" and slammed the door in my face. Now to my defense, I never cussed, I never raised my voice, I was never rude, but I was frustrated. Finally, 30 minutes later it was ready (after my 21 minute hold session). When I checked out, the pharmacist never made eye contact with me, she verified information, told me the price. I tried to tell her I was sorry about being frustrated and apologize, and all I got was "I hope you have a better day." So I guess the whole reason I am writing this review is plainly this: All I needed was a little bit of understanding, a little bit of validation that I was being cared for and not just a number in the cue. Caregiving is HARD!!! If you don't believe me, ask ANY caregiver and they will tell you. Pain issues are HARD, watching someone writhing in pain is gut wrenching. So Safeway Pharmacists, PLEASE give your patrons a little more love and personal care. You don't know what they may be going through. I hope to receive a call and an apology from you. You know who I am as my parents have been filling their prescriptions at your store for over 30 years. read more

I've been a Safeway customer for years, and when I moved from Parker to Lone Tree I transfered my business because I've always been happy not only with the Pharmacy, but also the grocery store itself. Unfortunately that is not the case with this pharmacy. I have standing refillable prescriptions that I call in when I'm out on their automated line. It always says the script will be ready in 3 days. Yes 3 days, and I always have to take the option to fill it sooner. That however is not the worst issue. A year and a half ago I rode a ladder to the ground from about 20 feet in the air and shattered my right heal in multiple pieces, and did massive damage to the soft tissue. Needless to say I deal with chronic pain, and use a low dose opiate to manage the pain to maintain some quality of life (namely my ability to work as I'm a carpenter). The issue is that at times I feel I'm being judged by the staff. They are also the slowest and most inefficient pharmacy I've ever dealt with. In 16 months I've eiither had to wait or come back sometimes hours later (not easy to do on crutches, with a cast from your foot to your knee). What's most frustrating is we have stigma about opiates in America that is based on an overflow of illicit drugs that is basiclly ignorned, but someone who has chronic pain is the one they look down their nose at. Not everyone who takes an opiate is an addict, but it seems to be assumed if you take them longer then a month. I'm 60 years old and frankly I don't need the headache and hassle of unprofessional or judgemental behavior, which seems so prevelant these days. All my future pharmacy and grocery buisness will be at Whole Foods and Costco. At least I know my patronage is appreciated, and I'm given the respect due every person. Lastly, you're given an option when you call to speak to the pharmacy staff. Good luck with that if you try, because they answer the phone about once in every 100 attempts. I will however go back to this stores meat dept, as the staff is always friendly, the meat and seafood is always good quality and they go out of their way to make you feel appreciated. read more

This is the worst pharmacy. Always long lines, NEVER ANSWERS PHONE, out of medications. They make you wait for hours only to tell you the don't have the medication you need. I got a notification from GoodRX that they filled a medication that wasn't given to me. I have Covid and can't get anyone to answer to find out if that was a medication that my doctor had called in for my visit. Very frustrating because I'm sick and trying not to get anyone else sick and CANT GET AN ANSWER. Tried speaking with store manager which was ZERO HELP! Go somewhere else!!! I wanted to write a review for the pharmacy here. Not once, but twice they've been extremely helpful to me. Especially this second to around. Thor the main pharmacist told me it was going to be about an hour to 90 minute wait, I didn't fuss but he could tell I was bummed and apologized several times. There was nothing to be sorry for, he was compassionate. I mentioned to a woman in line I had a new born puppy locked up at home and it's been a few hours. Thor overheard and immediately filled my script and must know pet therapy is the best medicine. I appreciate him for that and felt he deserved positive feedback. I will continue filling here. I was leaving the next day for international travel and needed a prescription filled. After waiting five minutes while the guy organized shelves instead of helping me, he finally came over with a highly irritated look on his face. He was mad at the world, and wanted to take it out on me. They guy said he needed to call the Dr's office to verify the dosage. It said to take it "as needed". It was a Saturday, they aren't in the office on Saturdays. He refused to fill it, didn't care that I had to fly the next day and that this medication was for use on the flight. He said I could "take it all at once because it didn't say how much to take and that would be bad". I told him I wasn't an idiot and wouldn't take it all at once, had been on this medication before. He could write whatever he wanted on the bottle. Nothing. But the worst was no care at all. Just a "screw you and leave me alone" attitude. I told him I would no longer be using his pharmacy's services and he replied "great". He did not care at all whether I remained their customer or not. I went across the street to Target pharmacy and they filled it no problem. There was nothing wrong with the prescription. Dear boss at Safeway - whether you believe he should have filled the prescription or not, this guy should be fired. I think he would prefer it if all the customers left so he didn't have to work so much. read more

Safeway Pharmacy doesn't have a clue about customer service. On Saturday, February 4, I ordered a refill on my prescription over the phone. I was told that the prescription would be ready on Sunday after, 11:00 A.M. I went Safeway on Sunday to pick up my prescription only to find out that they had order it. I told the pharmacist that it would have been nice if someone had bothered to let me know. Anyway, I came back on Monday. While I was there I picked up two other items (Safeway sold) and went to the pharmacy to pick up my meds. I asked the girl at the counter if along with my prescription if I could pay for the other two items. She flat said no. Her reasoning, she was too busy. I even explained to her how I had to come back because they screwed up. It didn't matter. She still refused. What a BOZO! Safeway has poorly trained employees who don't care about customer service. I did bring this up to and assistant manager but, it won't matter. My wife and I spent a lot of money at Safeway. It's time to take my business somewhere else. Safeway SUCKS! read more
