Super busy inside. Tuesday afternoon around six. Was kind of a crowd and I thought maybe they should have open more registers but it is what it is. We just grab a couple things and did self check out. Later in the week we went to more times. It was always very busy. The wait wasn't too long though. This Safeway used to have really amazing Manager's Specials on meat and crab legs. Now, their specials are a joke. Skip this store and head to City Market. They have incredible deals and clearance items... ALWAYS!!! read more

Saturday night family grocery getting trip.....I've never shopped at a Safeway before and it was a good experience, overall. The store was clean and well organized. The aisles were wide enough for two way traffic. There are plenty of selections. Checkout process was a little slow, but friendly. I have shopped at Safeway every time I have been visiting in Fraser. I have found the store to be very well stocked and organized. Nice wide isles and very friendly service. I recently made a mistake on the self checkout machine which required a manager's attention. I have to say that he couldn't have been nicer, and he very kindly solved my situation. So without going into great detail, I have to say that not many other stores would have done what he and his assistants did for me. I greatly appreciate them! read more

Decent supermarket. In contrast to the other reviewer, when we went in Tuesday afternoon, the place was blissfully empty. Good selection, decent prices, and friendly staff. We checked out speedily (they have self-checkout also), and had no trouble getting in or out of the parking lot. read more

I drive from Grand Lake to shop here. Staff is friendly and helpful. And are never unable to help you find a product. I would love it if they were closer but I don't mind driving for the service that I get here. Other stores in the area need to see how this store is run and take notes. I shopped there today and am very pleased with all the changes that have been made the store looks great. I walked into the women's bathroom and was shocked to find that 2 of the 3 toilets were broken including the handicapped stall. There was a line of women waiting to use the one working toilet. I talked to the on duty manager and let him know the situation. read more

The store in Fraser Colorado has issues with customer service and checkout. We've been using the Safeway in Fraser for 30 years. The last year we've seen a marked decrease in customer service at checkout. Frequently on Friday afternoon/evenings there are not enough checkers on duty and an inadequate number of employees helping with the self-checkout. We've had two completely unsatisfactory dealings with an employee at the self-checkout. She is rude, does not provide friendly service--basically does not care if a customer is waiting at the self checkout for help. We seen her chatting with friends rather than provide customers assistance. Additionally, the store closes self-checkout in the evening when there are many of us arriving for the weekend, and there are regularly long lines to checkout. It should be no secret that Friday is when those of us with vacation homes in Fraser visit for the weekend. I've been spending thousands of dollars there every year for many, many years. The shopping experience is no longer satisfactory for us. We plan on bringing more food from Costco or King Supers in our home town on the front range and travelling a few miles out of our way to shop at the City Market (King Supers) in Granby. I guarantee you there are many others who agree with my assessment. read more

This review is for the Starbucks inside Safeway as I couldn't find a page that reviews it separately. The staff doesn't know what they are doing. They can't use the phone scanner and won't recognize the Starbucks reward program. We had a Toffee Nut Latte and Carmel Machiato. They put too much milk in them and they were terrible. Also, the barristas were not friendly. I was afraid to ask them to re-make the coffee. Don't go to this Starbucks, choose a local coffee house. read more

They have a great selection for being small. But, I like smaller grocery stores. I specifically don't like the "Walmart experience." While standing in the check out the woman in front of me seemed a little hurried. She seemed annoyed by how friendly and talkative the gentleman checking her out was. I think he is great. This is the worst Safeway in the system. To make up for outrageous pricing even for a mountain location the people they employ are rude and unfriendly. If you use self checkout and need anything, they treat you as if you were trying to steal. I will bring stuff up from Denver from now on and avoid his store if at all possible. When I first bought property up here the store was delightful. Now I am loath to give it even one star. read more
