There's nothing that I can really say that would shock you about this commissary. It has everything that you would expect it to have and is almost a cookie cutter experience from any other commissary on any other base. Yes, there are the small nuances here and there based on geographical location but for the most part everything is in place. Sometimes dependable is the best thing you can be and that's how I feel about most of the commissaries that I have gone to. The good thing about this commissary is that it has bags, whereas the grocery stores out in Colorado Springs do not. It's still a good environmentally friendly practice to bring your own reusable shopping bags for groceries, but there is no penalty if you don't. Be aware of peak hours on Sunday morning because apparently less people go to church here and don't forget your ID at checkout.

This time, I even took a photo of the clearance sign beforehand to help save time and avoid confusion. When I showed the cashier, Andrew, the photo, he immediately insisted that if it were on clearance, it would automatically ring up that way and that the product should already have a sticker on it. I mentioned as he was ringing it up that it still rang up as full price and I explained that last week an employee had to manually verify and adjust the price because the bottles were not individually marked. When I asked if he was going to verify it or ask someone for help, he became even more upset and responded, "That's what I was going to do." The interaction felt unnecessarily argumentative and dismissive over a simple question and price check. I completely understand policies and verification processes, but a calmer and more helpful response would have made the experience much more positive.
