Let me say that this is one of the most dangerous markets I've been to because of the vast selection of specialty and local goods! Let's start with the market side because I am so excited to talk about it! This place is jam packed with so many goodies that I had to talk myself out of so many things I wanted. When you first walk in you are literally bombarded with their numerous hot pies and it then it opens up with a smorgasbord of delicious looking baked goods from locally made breads, sweet loaves, cookies, and more pies! Exploring through the market you will undoubtedly find something you want/need in your life from hot sauces, pantry goods, or, in my case, pre-marinated meats! In one corner near the produce there's even a section where you can try all of their house made salsas, sauces, and schmeers! I ended up grabbing a ready-to-cook porchetta, peruvian marinated chicken thighs, and aji verde for my weekend dinners. I could not leave without trying out one of their savory pies and went with the Japanese curry pot pie. The crust was light and buttery and went so well with the chicken curry inside. I also got the poke plate and very happy with the quality of the fish, but the rice was a little mushy for my preference. Moving over to the restaurant you will see that they have numerous burgers, sandwiches, and shakes made-to-order. For the Yelp Experience, I tried their marion berry pie and a melona shake. The pie was sooo good! It had a lightly buttery crust with rich, yet tangy berry filling. The melona shake was definitely out of the ordinary which prompted my ordering it. It was just lightly sweet and very creamy with a good flavor of honeydew. Not cloyingly sweet at all. Ikeda's is definitely a roadside mom & pop shop, but it deserves a stop if you're on the 80 or close enough. I am excitedly planning to come back try more of their pies and try out their smashburger and crab sandwich next time I'm around. Also make sure you have a freezer bag or cooler because you WILL find something you want here!

After deciding on the entree, I went for the rest of the ingredients.... and instead of smooth creamy peanut butter, I got crunchy. I also picked up the buns, Velveeta, a tomato, and Kinders mild BBQ sauce for that touch of tang. The man at the check out counter is always so friendly. He has given me great advice and I look forward to our conversations when I get to check out. Every one of my whole store experiences here is always so friendly. (Even after the meat dept closes, and the butcher is cleaning up, she still comes out to ask if I needed any help while I am trying to decide on dinner.) I used the Dukes mayo I had at home to toast my buns first. Then I shaped my hamburger meat into patties. The meat was fresh and soft. I only use salt & pepper. After cooking the meat and adding a thin slice of cheese, I started building my peanut butter cheeseburger. Thin layer of Dukes mayo, slice tomato, burger patty, and cheese. Under the top bun, I put on the chunky peanut butter with a good amount of drizzled Kinders mild BBQ. This one of a kind peanut butter cheeseburger was made possible with the tasty ingredients I bought from Save Mart. With meat cooked exactly the way I wanted it, BECAUSE of the freshness of Save Mart... it turned into the best peanut butter burger I have ever created

You're walking up up to the doors w/4-5 mins to go (but you made it on time if they close at the posted) and the doors are locked. WT_?? I manually open the doors walk in and they say "sorry sir we close 5 minutes early so we can leave at 11:00. That's Bull dung!! Then they should post that they close at 10:55. It doesn't have a category that says what time do employees check in or check out. Very disappointed SaveFart but not surprised. Customer 1st service is loooong gone these days.

As someone who previously worked here as of yesterday, I am highly disappointed in how I was treated as an employee. I won't point fingers at those responsible in making me quit, but I will be leaving my memory of everything that they have done: Note: No paid vacation until after a year. I requested an unpaid vacation week mid July with one of the Higher ups, who claimed to have approved it, come time and he claims I never requested. (My mistakes here was not knowing about the online requesting or binder which had written records of requested days off [nobody communicates], as well as asking for it in writing.) After 7 months of working there, one of the higher ups failed to understand I was a Baker and not a Multipurpose Clerk, granted I understand the amount of employees working here, (still understaffed regardless) but I was hired on as the Head Baker's apprentice. My work hours were also being given away to another employee who can only work so many hours due to limitations, this was a clear violation of my Union laws as I am obligated to have a minimum amount of 24 working hours per week. (I was given 20 for a month +) I asked for a raise about a month ago due to me moving as it would be more expensive to get there, the higher up said he'd get back to me the following day, only to not show up that day. So I gave him benefit of the doubt and went to him the next time he was there, to which again, I was met with "can we do this another time?" Understand my point of being flaked multiple times, so I gave up. I had requested another unpaid week off about 2 months prior. After requesting it be approved in advance, I was told it was done, watching the higher up writing it in the binder and confirming it on the computer. I reassured this by coming back to them the following week for 3 weeks all 3 times assuring that I had it approved, only to be denied the week prior after being forced to another department (another union violation). Then I was given a choice, continue working in said department, or continue working as a Baker at another store which would be even further from my home costing more gas on the same barely above minimum wage (talking 30 cents more). These are my experiences here that I found negative. And for those who complain about the employees being rude, it's because of how we are treated, but we have to put up with it. I relinquished myself of this store and do not intend on ever going back. The only thing that kept me going was working in the bakery because I was happy working there. I was happy with my coworkers and serving family and friends as well as other customers who come in. I never will forget Sue and Ashley for being there to help when I needed it and for allowing me to talk about exciting things to keep the atmosphere of the Bakery in a positive place. I even thank Phil, he got me the job in the first place and although it may not have seemed like I was doing the greatest job, I loved every second of it. As for the higher ups, one of the managers and the store director, thank you for allowing me to work here, but don't take advantage of the kindness of your employees. If you want to know how someone is like, take a look at how they treat their inferiors, not their equals. Keep that in mind if you ever decide to read this. Thank you Safeway and goodbye. read more

If i could give this store 0stars i would! My mother in-law experienced the worst service on this wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Over 1 week ago she ordered a pre-made turkey and arranged to pick it up thanksgiving morning. When she arrived to pick up her turkey. She was sent back and forth between the butcher and the deli, and neither of them could find her turkey! After plenty of wasted time the manager Steven was finally called. He then proceeded to be very rude and condescending to my disabled mother in law. Telling her that they don't even offer the 18 pound turkey that she ordered. He then said that he was going to start counting back from 50 as to say that he was getting angry and needed to calm himself?!? I mean really, you are not the one who is expected to bring the main dish to thanksgiving in less than an hr! After realizing that he was going to be of no help or offer an alternate solution, she resorted to purchasing a ham. They refunded her $49 that she prepaid for the turkey and then this very rude so called manager gave her $15 cash for her troubles???!!! Needless to say we will not be going to Safeway for quite some time and i recommend that everyone use caution before relying on them to make any of your holiday meats. Instead of turkey day we had ham day which as long as we were all with family everything ended up good. Happy Thanksgiving read more

I just have to comment on the horrificabsolutely horrendous parking spaces don't fit even my SUV Mercedes they just try to cram as much people as as they can in the parking lot regardless of what type of vehicle or damaged conducted by other customers the management is great especially the lady Lisa and they want way way too much like double for the price of a sorbet the other stores have for $5 Safeway your administration better get their s*** together because you're going to be hurting there has been a big town meeting and everybody agrees to a boycott on Safeway even Bel Air is nice it's never overcrowded they have plenty of employees to help you out you took away the hot food section no need for me to go there boycotting !!!!! And I will check with the front end manager Lisa to see if she got a positive note from this review from any of there supervisors !!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

You ought to be out of your mind you want $4.99 for the smallest can of hominy when I can get it for $2.03 about same damn can same brand well that's okay because I picked up three elderly people that go to a much cheaper store than Safeway maybe down the hill a little ways but not bad and it's we have a good time better than getting ripped off and your freaking sorbets the little containers you want $10 we get them for $5 and you can go to the Dollar store and get them for about the same as our grocery store that we go to now instead of Safeway any Safeway you want to be ashamed of yourself ripping off older people and the club card is a joke to see what people buy and how much of it and how much of you that you sell and you still rip people off you got to be ashamed of yourself !!!!! read more

I shop here a few times a month since it is conveniently located and the coupon app saves us a ton of money. We love the cashiers who are great, but the computer system always seems to get multiple items incorrectly priced and I have to pour over the receipt and then go over to the customer service desk to get a refund before I leave. So annoying, although it does seem to be better lately compared to the previous few years. There is an issue with agressive panhandlers harassing people in the parking lot, but that is not really the store's fault, but it does make it uncomfortable going here sometimes. read more

The store refuse to enforce covid-19 policies. there were customers in the store without masks, and intoxicated customers willing to walk up within 6 in of you and talk. California has a statewide order to wear masks in all public places. This Safeway should be closed. read more

A Sunday Costco run with my friend, who LOVES shopping here! I expected it to be busy, and parking…read morecan definitely be a challenge if you're hoping to find a spot close to the entrance. Once inside, there's a little bit of everything: groceries, household essentials, clothing, electronics, and plenty of things you didn't know you needed until they ended up in your cart, lol! I was mostly there for my usual purchases: salmon and tuna. The generous cuts always catch my eye, and the tuna steaks have that gorgeous, rich ruby-red color. They are ginormous! The salmon tastes fresh and is absolutely delicious when prepared just right, and not do I have a family who love to eat salmon! These are two items I always look forward to bringing home! As we walked around, we came across quite a few sample stations throughout the store. My favorite today was the Dubliner cheese: aged, flavorful, and slightly sweet. The woman handing out samples was in a wonderful mood and fun to chat with, which made the stop even better. Around the corner, we tried an orange chicken sample with a little kick. The flavor was tasty, but the texture was too soggy for me, so that was an easy pass. Self-checkout was a little awkward. There wasn't a handheld scanner available, so scanning the pumpkin pie (huge for only $5.99) I picked up for my client meant tipping it at an angle that felt almost upside down! Everything also had to go onto the scale beside the scanner after being scanned. Another shopper started putting her bananas on my side, so apparently I wasn't the only one a little confused by the setup. After checking out, we stopped at the food court. There were several options I hadn't tried before, and quite a few caught my attention. The sundaes looked badass, the chicken bake looked yummers, and the turkey melt looked like it could hit the spot. Of course, you can't go wrong with a hot dog. Who doesn't love a big, juicy one? LOL! I ordered a chicken bake and a turkey melt, while my friend got the hot dog. No, I didn't eat both by myself! I just wanted some variety! The chicken bake was pretty awesome, with chunks of white-meat chicken and a creamy white sauce baked inside of bread. I shared both items with my friend, who had never tried either one. She gave the chicken bake a 10/10! I'm a dipper, so I would've loved something to dip it into, but it still earned a solid 9/10 from me. The turkey melt was thick, filling, and pretty tasty, too. And for my drink, can you guess what I chose? Agua!!!! Even after this visit, I'm still more partial to Sam's Club. It's probably because I'm more used to how they operate, but they seem to make shopping more convenient for the customer. For example, I can purchase a drink cup right at the register there. Here, I can buy the cup at the register, but then I have to stand in another line to actually get the cup. it's inconvenient when there are quite a few people in line waiting for their items. Plus, Sams Club self checkout has scanner guns and an awesome scanner as your walk out of the store making checking out with an associate fast! On our way out, Mark checked our receipt. I really enjoyed his sense of humor--it was a fun way to wrap up our Costco trip!

Alright, time for an update!…read more Costco still remains a daunting, unfriendly and very troubling place for me. It's American mass consumerism at its prime and worst. I need to go when the fewest people are there, otherwise it feels like a horror movie... all those people running around with multiple carts overfilled with stuff, some actually frantic. Besides who really needs six jars of super sized mayonnaise unless you have a family of twelve or more? However, there are some redeeming factors to shopping here, and possibly getting a good deal. This still remains the ONLY Costco in the area I'll visit for otherwise being run over by a crazed shopper with a full pallet of merchandise. So. Some great finds- We got two new good quality camping chairs for the outdoor concerts we attend at a rock bottom price! Woo hoo! Then I found a large container, yet still manageable, of my favorite snack treat, Aussie Bites, at a great price. Please don't buy them out!!! The maple syrup is good quality and less expensive than anywhere. The paper goods can also be a very good deal. Just have a big storage space for a gazillion rolls of toilet paper. They were unfortunately out, or no longer carrying, two other favorites, the top sirloin hamburgers and the Korean dumplings (an easy and quick, delicious treat). I recommend perusing the aisles as one never knows what really interesting product or bargain is lurking in the depths of this monster store. Oh, and if you want a ginormous TV that will never fit anywhere or a casket, just in case, they have those too. We usually stop in whenever we're running errands in Roseville. There's not much to report that is different from other Whole Foods - I just like their butcher section with marinated meats, their premade meals and hot food selection. Their bakery is great too and you can buy whole pizzas! We recently bought some of their premade Cinnamon Rolls to bake at home and they were delicious! Service is always friendly and helpful and the store is always well stocked and organized. This location also has a large patio area to enjoy your coffee or hot food items. I also like that you can use your Amazon Prime account for discounts. We'll be back!

I speak only for the workers in the evening as this is the only time I've ever been in. The two men who work in the evenings are very dishonest. I'm giving two stars ONLY for 1- the convenience of the location and 2- the wide selection. Tonight I stopped in, picked up one item, and went up to pay. I paid cash. The cashier told me my total, I gave him my amount said NOTHING after handing me my change. I asked for a receipt, he gave it to me, I spent a moment putting the change in my purse, and walked out. In that exact order. One I get to my vehicle I check the receipt and see a bag charge. I did not ask for a bag, nor did he offer. The CA bag charge is ridiculous enough in my opinion, so if I am charged for a bag.. I want the dang bag! So I went back in with my receipt and said "since you charged me for a bag, can I get that bag??" he said "I asked you if you wanted one and you walked off. Alright dude, do not lie to me. Number 1- You ABSOLUTELY did not. I was 100% paying attention to everything in my semi-immediate surrounding, including you, especially in that area. You did no such thing! Number 2- Even if that was the case, which is wasn't, he rang me up, took my cash, and gave me my change. So when he supposedly "asked if I wanted a bag", I had already paid and he had ALREADY charged me for one. It's not about the stupid bag, it's able their dishonesty and that this is the third time in about 10 years that they've over charged me, once over $2. Despite the convenience of the location, this is the last straw.. I will NEVER set foot in this store again and will calling and speaking to the owner because I GUARANTEE they're doing to most customers.

The price of paper products I was shopping for were 50% higher than what I usually pay. And eggs were the same - around 50% higher, too. It's a good thing that I work 30 minutes away. There are already established, great value grocery stores in place. I will most likely be shopping at Holiday Market but only if I need something last minute. Unfortunately, Holiday Market will be one of my last choices to shop but I'm glad they're around until 10pm - JUST IN CASE! I love the fact that they open early as 6 AM until late as 10 PM so no matter what or whatever shifts you work you can always stop and still get groceries. They do have a deli here that carries boar's head meats which I'm super familiar with and know that the product is a very delicious one. They do a build your own sandwich as you get up to the deli but if you do not want to wait you could also order ahead of time in the app and do a pick up there as well. They have an open salad bar that starts at $9.99lb, they also have a grab and go refrigerator, where they have premade salads that they make in house that you can grab as well as desserts like cookies. All the sandwiches pretty much come with a drink so make sure you grab a fountain drink all the way out. There are a lot of choices here and a lot of organic items as well. They also like to support small businesses here which I think is an amazing thing. All the staff are super friendly as soon as you walk in. Looking forward to see what else they bring in.
