Ours to celebrate a birthday: a marionberry, blueberry, raspberry combination....hot from the ovens, boxed and ready to go. Savory pies are also available although we did not try one this time. We visited on a Sunday (the Sunday of Western States Endurance Run) and it was hopping. Barely a spot in the lot yet fortunately we arrived as someone strategically positioned for us was moving out. There were lines to order foods to-go or to possibly find a place at one of their few outdoor under cover tables, there are possibly 20 in all. The market is extensive and creatively designed with goods positioned just right. The extremely busy staff was calm and friendly and made us feel welcome. We will visit again, next time there for another run/race, whether it's a birthday weekend or not. The pie was amazing. Not too sweet and the flavors blended perfectly.

I often get chicken pot pie frozen to take home and a slice of marionberry pue. But since it's peach season, I got a peach cobbler pie to take to a weekend BBQ. Aaaaand, since I'm here, had to get a POG fruit freeze! Yum-o!

She was so knowledgeable of the types of flowers to use and Offered great suggestions in the arrangement. Totally 10 star review if there was such a thing on yelp. Very much appreciated... Thank you so much, Alice!

He looked at me and another guy and said "who was here first". We both stated I was there first and I started to say that I wanted to order a turkey sandwich. The young man behind the counter interrupted me and said "fill out that paper and put it there" as he was pointing to the counter. As I was doing so, he stated to the other guy "what are you getting, I'll get that started". Nice gesture to the other guy. Then, I completed my sandwich request form and put it exactly where the young man told me to. Behind a few others walked up, completed their sandwich request form and placed them next to mine. One by one, other sandwich request were completed until myself and someone else asked about my sandwich. It was only after a white lady was in unison with me and asked about my sandwich, did someone take my sandwich request form and completed it. Oh! Did I mention that most everyone else there was white in color? As i finally received my sandwich, I went to the self checkout to pay for my sandwich. After I paid for my sandwich, there was a lady there by the name of Terri. I asked Terri if there was a manager that I could speak to. Terri immediately stated "I'm a manager". I told her my complaint and Terri immediately stated I was lying. Not only that Terri asked me "did you pay for that"? As I had my sandwich in hand, I stated "yes, I paid for this, here is my receipt". I've shopped Raley's and Bel Air for years. I am a loyal customer and have been for a very long time. I have never felt that type of treatment from Raley's and Bel Air. I expect that from places but not from there. Not from there. Here is a picture of the guy at Raley's that treated me so well.

The store inventory is huge with various brands, all top notch. The inventory is fresh as well. Meaning no expired products on the shelf. Super clean and well organized shop. There are two Sunrise Natural Foods. One is in Roseville and the other is this one, in Auburn. The staff here is engaging but not overly intrusive. The current staff does a walk about asking everyone if they have they need assistance. If one person doesn't know, they will get a coworker that can provide additional information. The shop also carries small but mighty inventory of grocery staples, fresh produce, prepackaged local meat and chicken, water filling station, makeup, and local made soap, Another thing to not is that they discontinued their purchase punch cards . But will honor ones that have not been redeemed yet. .

There were 7 people in the line with only 1 cashier open. She kept paging for more cashiers to come up. But, 10 minutes later; no more lanes were opened. I might have to change my shopping habits and go elsewhere if this the norm for Smart and Final.

They have really good competitive prices on their produce (3 bunches of green onions or cilantro for $.99). The bulk items they sell come in handy for one of my jobs. Today, we stopped by to pick up some groceries for my sweet friend since she had surgery recently. She was craving chili cheese dogs. First, I got an onion. I went with red because I like that bite vs the white onion. After produce, I picked of some of the Smart & Final brand "First Street" medium shredded cheddar. Not too far away, the hotdogs. I'm not a Ballpark fan, I like to usually go with Nathan's, but today, we are trying a new brand, Hoffman's. These were pretty big. Last but not least, we got some buns. Again, we went with the store brand. The crossiants that come in boxes of 9 are only $6 and I think they are the best grocery store crossiants you can get anywhere. They make stunning sandwiches. I'm addicted to finding out what plants they'll have for sale next (right now, there are beautiful orchids). Last year, they had some of the biggest, prettiest monstera plants for only $40 (I have had mine for a year now). I always like to check out the meat department. They have good deals on chicken. My friends like to his steaks here. However... Today, I noticed how much blood from the meat packages was leaking onto the shelves and it was all over, along the entire shelf. There was so much on the shelves it was disturbing! Dry and wet in places. This is very unsanitary and can you imagine the cross-contamination happening here? People can get sick. Since there were not any employees around, I had to wait until I checked out to let the cashier know. She seemed to know that they were setting up to clean the shelves very soon, but I feel like it should never be like this. You can see from my previous reviews that I do enjoy coming here. Today, I just happen to notice the meat department needs to do some major cleanup. I'm not sure how long it has been like that, but I feel like I have never seen it this bad at any other grocery store. This review was posted to the wrong store 20 days ago. After bringing it up to the woman at the register 20 days ago, the disgusting shelves are still a problem.
