The shop is set up in an interesting way where you enter through the produce section and snake around to the main shopping area. I thought this was cool at first but realized the way they have it set up to get back to produce you either have to go past the cash registers (which I think they don't want) or loop back around to get up front again. I typically like picking up produce last so it's on the top of my cart/basket so I ended up heading back that way at the end. The rest of the shopping visit was pretty typical and I loved the selection of items they had. I ended up picking up some cheeses, yogurt, noodles, and grapes during this visit. The prepared section did look nice, and if I hadn't already eaten lunch I would have grabbed something here. The staff member who helped me was friendly too.

Trader Joe's is always such a fun place to shop because they carry so many unique foods that you…read moredon't typically find at a regular grocery store. I can go in for one or two things and somehow leave with a cart full of new items to try! Two of my favorite finds are in the refrigerated section. The fully cooked pork belly is incredibly convenient and can be crisped up in a pan, added to rice bowls, tacos, ramen, or even eaten with eggs for breakfast. It has a rich, savory flavor and makes it easy to put together a delicious meal without spending hours cooking. The lemon-rosemary spatchcocked chicken is another favorite of mine... especially cooked on the grill! It is already seasoned and ready to cook, making it perfect for a simple but flavorful dinner. Grilling it gives the outside a delicious char while keeping the chicken tender and juicy. The lemon adds a fresh flavor, while the rosemary provides the perfect savory touch. Since the chicken is already spatchcocked, it cooks more evenly and is so easy to prepare. Trader Joe's also has an amazing assortment of frozen meals, appetizers, sauces, cheeses, snacks, and seasonal products. There always seems to be something new on the shelves, and some of the limited-edition items are so good that you wish they would keep them all year! It is a great place to find convenient meals while also picking up fun ingredients that encourage you to try something different. And, of course, I can't forget the candy and sweets! Their dark chocolate peanut butter cups are dangerously good, and they have everything from gummies and chocolate-covered treats to nostalgic candies with a Trader Joe's twist. The candy section is one of those areas where an extra item...or three, lol, always seems to find its way into my cart. Customer service is another reason I enjoy shopping here. The employees are usually friendly, upbeat, and willing to help locate an item or offer recommendations. Even when the store is busy, the checkout lines move quickly, and the cashiers still take the time to make pleasant conversation. I like that they talk casually between employees and customers all while keeping a smile on their face... it makes for a fun atmosphere. Trader Joe's may not carry every traditional grocery store item, but that is part of its charm. I come here for the interesting selections, convenient meals, seasonal surprises, tasty sweets, and welcoming service. There is always something new to discover!

It was my first time stopping at this location and the store orientation was a little different than some others I've visited. I noticed the frozen aisles had a nice amount of space, which probably helps when they're crowded. I was able to find everything I was looking for. Some of my Trader Joe's staples are the string cheese, white corn, salted sunflower seeds, Fusilli Corti Bucati Pasta, and couscous. Of course I picked up a bunch of other items, including some candles, room spray, treats for my dog, and some impulse candy buys (mango and passion fruit chocolate cups- YES PLEASE!). I grew up not too far from this store. Customer service is pretty consistent and the prices are…read morecompetitive compared to Bel Air and Raley's. Their ads come out Tuesday night on the handy Safeway app. The old school way (cutting coupons from ads) is still availablel. For the discounts, you can use your phone number. That gets you member prices, which saves you money. Without signing up for the Safeway membership, you will pay a substantial amount more. This store is very clean. It's nice to grab yourself a coffee at Starbucks while you shop. All the departments work very hard to maintain an organized space, although there are hiccups here and there. They have great weekly specials. One that I am fond of is their "$5 Friday," where they offer an items/items for a deal. At this store, if they are out of that item that is part of their $5 Friday, you snooze you lose. For example, Safeway was offering the beef short ribs at just $5 a pound in their meat deptartment back in mid January, but they ran out. Normally, if they're out of an item that's on sale, you can request what's called a "rain check" at check out. This "rain check" is good for 30 days after it is given to you. I just found out they do not offer "rain checks" at this store for $5 Friday items, as said by the new night manager on Friday February 6th. Thankfully, it was already provided to me in mid January by an employee that also did not know this was a rule. So they honored it. At this store, "rain checks" are available on other items that are on sale in the ad during the week. Since this Safeway is not close to where I live, two other Safeway's have told me they offer it on all items all the time because they want to keep the customers coming back. Even on the $5 Friday items. So, for the inconvenience of having to go to another store because of this, I did drop my star rating by 2. I like using self checkout. It is easy and quick. The card systems take Apple and Android pay. There is a checker available to help you if you run into any issues. One person watches over about 6-8 self check out stations. Regular check stands are still available, too. I won't stop coming to this store. My client lives around the corner and she has her favorite Safeway items, like that roasted chicken I just picked up for her. She loves drinking Sprite and about every other week, Sprite will go on sale at Safeway's as "buy 2, get 2 free" and every so often, "buy 2 get 3 free." How can you pass up a deal like that?!
