02/19/2026: Shopping At Nugget Market, i.e., I'm cooking dinner for my family.
Shirley M. F.

02/19/2026: Shopping At Blue Oaks Nugget Market Store, i.e., I'm cooking dinner for my family. BTW: I learned a "Gee Whiz Fact" from the Nugget Market's Meat Department Butcher--the grass-fed beef must have a little fat in the center in order, retaining moisture for either grilling or broiling. Aside, I'm a petite individual: I inquired with Customer Service if, I may " . . . borrow a Customer Service Member's height for reaching two products which are too high for me reaching." A Customer Service Member laughed when I stated I didn't want the glass bottles cracking my head, i.e., safely assisting reaching and giving me the organic, Tart Cherry Juice and the organic, Lemon Olive Oil I wanted purchasing. Moreover, I wanted purchasing BULK organic spices and organic tea as well . . . Overall and ironically strangely noting: Blue Oaks Nugget Market Store's location boasts an incredible inventory which ultimately surpasses El Dorado County, Placer County, and Sacramento County Nugget Market locations' store inventory comparing to Blue Oaks Nugget Market Store's inventory! AMAZING, indeed.

Love love this store! Wish we had one in Scottsdale! Not only is this store beautifully laid out with very friendly and welcoming staff but the butcher shop is very well equipped and the butchers are super nice. My favorite is the variety of marinated meat in the refrigerated section. My son in law enjoys the bacon wrapped jalapeños! This store is beautiful and easy to find stuff! Hot good and pizza and sandwiches and coffee bar and a cheese section where a sample is available of their daily specials. The produce is excellent and fresh! A must visit store.

The wonderful array of buffet party platters. So easy and impressive with how nicely they are assembled.

Nugget Markets does it again... made a Holiday Open House for 40 neighbors and friends the best ever with select Party Platters. In lieu of lots of prep. we just go online to the "Gourmet to Go" section and order an array of platters in advance of the party and then pick up the morning of the event. It's so easy. Nugget always does an impressive job and everyone loves the variety of things we get, even enough for vegetarian options. They do a beautiful job arranging and displaying the offerings in wood boxes. It's so easy and attractive, and no need to transfer to other platters or dishes. The chicken skewers were a big hit, and especially the green Thai sesame sauce which many commented on. One person who makes homemade dolmas commented that the Nugget dolmas were top notch and delicious from the Mezze platter, as was the variety of cheeses in the cheese platter we got. The cookies and desserts were another big hit. The only downside was the roast beef in the Specialty Aram sandwiches was tough and chewy. After looking over many other catering alternatives Nugget Market is the easiest, most comprehensive for a variety of choices, and excellent quality. Even the staff is wonderful. One woman took us from place to place, deli to bakery to cheese area, to make sure we had each item, and that we were satisfied. The price can add up quickly but for the quality and convenience it can't be beat. This is one of many times we have used Nugget Market catering for an array of parties. We will definitely do it again.

Undercooked fried chicken. Outer part was crispy and looked fully cooked. It was not.

I go here a lot. Tried fried chicken and have had it before. Today it was not fully cooked. They need to insert thermometer in deeper if they do at all.

I love this location for it's diversity, respectful customer service, incredible seasonal produce, and delicious rosemary bread! Great beer selection. When we have time in the mornings, my family loves to grab a smoothie here. The green smoothie , "triple g" is my favorite, and "the red eye" is mild and sweet, good for my sons . The breakfast burritos are not very good. I liked them initially, but the more I ate them, I realized how weird the texture of the eggs is...kinda the texture of tofu, and how the refried beans combined kinda make for weird mush. I won't order them anymore, but you do you. There's a great area at the top of the stairs to enjoy a smoothie or a snack which is very convenient and welcoming. I love this store, and while the burritos aren't my thing. There's still so much to appreciate here!

Nugget Market, one of my favorite grocery stores. They offer so many delectable food options. Bakery for all occasions, prepared meals for any situation, phenomenal cheeses for charcuterie, or juys to enjoy! A great Wine selection. Not pictured, but a great butcher counter as well, with so many cuts to satisfy the carnivore. They support local area, based out of Davis. When I want top shelf ingredients, I head to Nugget, for the Family and entertaining. The staff is always professional and nice as well. Everything is super clean, organized and they carry many things you just can't find anywhere else!

TBA Sandwich w/Texas Mayo!

Random Monday Night Dinner! Got the TBA Sandwich, and added Texas Mayo! Delicious! My sandwich artist was Ryan, great customer service and made the sandwich perfect! Food 9/10 Customer Service 8.5/10 Overall 8.75/10

1/2 of the sandwich that did not have any cheese whatsoever and a skimpy slice of lettuce. Hardly any red onions.

Yesterday officially will be my last time ever ordering a sandwich from here again. Called in advance. The sandwich was not ready then the guy burnt my turkey and did not melt the cheese on top of the meat. Instead, he melted it on top of the bread and put lettuce on top of the cheese and then the meat. The sandwich was disgusting and now the day after I feel sick 23 years of buying sandwiches from the nugget unfortunately I will no longer be going to this location to purchase any more sandwiches. I'm posting this to warn others be very careful when you get your sandwiches there not only was it not good but now I am sick.

Chocolate mouse cake .

Great service in the bakery department when I placed my order for a cake. I ordered the chocolate mouse cake. I requested special writing on the cake so i did not want the fancy design that normally goes with this cake. ( very fancy though )Bakery is very clean . Friendly , knowledgeable employees . I returned 2 days later to pick up my chocolate mouse cake. Once again very friendly staff, i was pleased with them following exactly what i ordered . It was beautiful . Later that day when we ate a piece of this cake, it was 100 percent delicious. Not too sweet , fluffy ,moist cake . Very satisfying , I would definitely recommend this cake.

Hmmm- this could have been just as easily 4or 5 Stars. Here is why I landed at 3. I have been going to Nugget on Fairview for a while and enjoying it for lunch. They always seem to have a great balance of value, quality, taste, options, and cost. I have been to this nugget a few times and noticed what I call "cost creep" and it just doesn't sit well with me. Along with that, there are growing pains and learning that is happening and while understandable, sometimes the same things happen over and over even after offering feedback at the location. First, I have never been there when the hot bar didn't have dried, old food at $9.99 a pound. IMHO, either offer fewer choices fresh, or keep the options in that area fresh. I have not encountered that at the other location. Next, I do like the sushi options and find them to be fresh. Today, the standout was getting a freshly made poke bowl that was great! I have also had sandwiches made fresh as well. They opened up the dining room upstairs and it is a nice space. Overall, if you can get fresh made meals, it is a good value. So why the negative? Cost creep. They do provide water and cups, but they are tiny and the water is warm. At the other location they oftentimes had an infused one (think melon, cucumber, fruit etc) that was ice cold and then regular ice cold water. To get ice here, you have to buy a cup from the barista at $2 which is ridiculous. I have made this complaint to other establishments and I have told management, I am on board for paying you a quarter for a descent size cup of ice, especially considering that Starbucks will not hesitate to give me a grande cup of filtered ice water in their cool sippy cups for free. When you consider I dropped $45 for lunch, this seems like a small thing overall. And finally, I was shocked to find out the "cost" for what is normally free at other locations serving sushi. Specifically, extra ginger or wasabi. You can get extra, but it runs $1.75 for a 1oz cup. You can also get a side of seaweed for $5. In my opinion, that's just taking advantage of the customer, especially since the sushi plates now come with about a 1/3 teaspoon of wasabi and a few flakes of ginger. At the same time, the rolls offered are fresh and taste wonderful, but price out at similar costs to Tangs across the street where water, wasabi, and ginger are free and you have a server. Will I be back? Sometimes, but not as much as I planned because it just isn't the same as the other Nugget, and I feel these issues are easy to solve.

Wonderful atmosphere but... It was my first time here. I don't usually shop at The Nugget because they are pricey but I wanted to get something different for a department potluck. I was looking for mixed fruit platter but they only had individual packages with one type of fruit each. I asked an associate and he led me to someone, maybe the manager, in the produce section and he confirmed that they didn't have any mixed fruit trays. I was looking for French Bread, I asked an associate and she led me to where they were supposed to be aaaand the shelf was empty. She then told me that the "Italian" breads won't be ready until 9:00a... wait, what? I asked for French bread, not an Italian bread. Okaaaaay?? I didn't know they had a certain time in baking their breads depending on the two nations. Anyway, I don't have bankers hours so I left and went to Safeway where they were starting to bag them fresh from the oven. Got two loaves and I was on my merry way. The store is nice and the aisles wide and spacious. Located in the new Campus Oaks shopping plaza on Blue Oaks Blvd. Thank you, next. Review #2441

The shop is set up in an interesting way where you enter through the produce section and snake around to the main shopping area. I thought this was cool at first but realized the way they have it set up to get back to produce you either have to go past the cash registers (which I think they don't want) or loop back around to get up front again. I typically like picking up produce last so it's on the top of my cart/basket so I ended up heading back that way at the end. The rest of the shopping visit was pretty typical and I loved the selection of items they had. I ended up picking up some cheeses, yogurt, noodles, and grapes during this visit. The prepared section did look nice, and if I hadn't already eaten lunch I would have grabbed something here. The staff member who helped me was friendly too.

The markets are located from Truckee to Roseville and include seasonal markets, such as this one, as well as year round markets. This market is Saturdays only from June 6-November 21, 8:30am-12:30pm. There is a year round market a few miles away in Roseville in the Whole Foods Market parking lot (at the Fountains on Galleria Blvd. & East Roseville Parkway from 8:30am - 1pm on Tuesdays) . There are typically around twenty vendors at this Rocklin market. All of the produce is sold by the growers themselves so you can really get the inside scoop on their products and how they are grown. There are also items available like fresh baked breads, cookies and even tamales. On this visit there was also a fresh flower vendor, honey vendor and even some live acoustic entertainment. When you buy an item from any of the vendors you can also get a ticket to enter a weekly drawing to win a free item from RC Wiiley. This week's giveaway was for a mini-fridge. Overall, it's a nice little pop-up and I can always count on finding some flavorful items fresh from the farm. On this visit I was on the hunt for some cherry tomatoes and found some tasty little gems grown by Willow Creek Ranch in Penryn. They were well balanced between sweet and acidic...yummy summer goodness!

The entrance had a lot of traffic, but parking was plenty & organized. Admission was $5, which felt reasonable for the experience. The market itself was huge. large crowds, a wide variety of vendors, and something for everyone. was impressed by the great prices on fresh fruits and vegetables. There were also food trucks, rides for children, and even live music which added to the fun atmosphere. Be prepared for a lot of walking because the market is massive I didn't even make it through the entire place and found myself circling around. Even so, it was a great first experience, and my family and I had a really enjoyable time. If you've been to a swap meet, you know what you'll see--some potential cool finds you can bargain for, along with some "interesting stuff" that looks like what you neglected & finally purged from your storage shed after years. There is produce, food, snacks, & treats. There are kid items & toys, clothing & accessories, plants, decor, car parts, garden fixtures, furniture with very specific aesthetics, yard work equipment, so much "stuff". Parking was $5. It's a big area that you can stroll. Here & there you find tables & chairs to sit under covered areas, but they can be quite dirty & dingy. There were large Connect 4 games (& thank goodness I always carry around my trusty hand sanitizing wipes!) There were a couple of simple kiddie rides. It looked like a band was setting up on a stage to play live music. There are many different food options. We sipped some delicious & refreshing agua frescas from El Ciriancito. We got pepperoni pizza from Montiel's Woodfire Pizza (it was adequate, customer service was not). We also got some street tacos. To be sure, there's randomness, & lots of it. At times, it makes you ask deep philosophical questions about the items we amass. We entertained ourselves with musings on who buys certain things & what is the rest of their life like?? We did come away with a nice piece for backyard decor.

Trader Joe's is always such a fun place to shop because they carry so many unique foods that you…read moredon't typically find at a regular grocery store. I can go in for one or two things and somehow leave with a cart full of new items to try! Two of my favorite finds are in the refrigerated section. The fully cooked pork belly is incredibly convenient and can be crisped up in a pan, added to rice bowls, tacos, ramen, or even eaten with eggs for breakfast. It has a rich, savory flavor and makes it easy to put together a delicious meal without spending hours cooking. The lemon-rosemary spatchcocked chicken is another favorite of mine... especially cooked on the grill! It is already seasoned and ready to cook, making it perfect for a simple but flavorful dinner. Grilling it gives the outside a delicious char while keeping the chicken tender and juicy. The lemon adds a fresh flavor, while the rosemary provides the perfect savory touch. Since the chicken is already spatchcocked, it cooks more evenly and is so easy to prepare. Trader Joe's also has an amazing assortment of frozen meals, appetizers, sauces, cheeses, snacks, and seasonal products. There always seems to be something new on the shelves, and some of the limited-edition items are so good that you wish they would keep them all year! It is a great place to find convenient meals while also picking up fun ingredients that encourage you to try something different. And, of course, I can't forget the candy and sweets! Their dark chocolate peanut butter cups are dangerously good, and they have everything from gummies and chocolate-covered treats to nostalgic candies with a Trader Joe's twist. The candy section is one of those areas where an extra item...or three, lol, always seems to find its way into my cart. Customer service is another reason I enjoy shopping here. The employees are usually friendly, upbeat, and willing to help locate an item or offer recommendations. Even when the store is busy, the checkout lines move quickly, and the cashiers still take the time to make pleasant conversation. I like that they talk casually between employees and customers all while keeping a smile on their face... it makes for a fun atmosphere. Trader Joe's may not carry every traditional grocery store item, but that is part of its charm. I come here for the interesting selections, convenient meals, seasonal surprises, tasty sweets, and welcoming service. There is always something new to discover!

Of course I picked up a bunch of other items, including some candles, room spray, treats for my dog, and some impulse candy buys (mango and passion fruit chocolate cups- YES PLEASE!).
