    I had a crack in my windshield recently and my insurance company made it easy to make an appointment at Safelite for my replacement. The entrance is behind the building, so when you get to the address you just have to follow the signs to customer check-in. They were busy! It seems like a lot of insurance companies funnel folks here. Jeff at check-in was friendly and informational, he made sure I knew all the details and how long my service would take. At check out he made sure I knew not to go through a car wash and gave me all the info again. The full replacement can take 2-3 hours, my car took just around two. My biggest complaint about this location is the waiting room. It's just chairs. Waiting for 2-3 hours it would be nice if they had small desks or something else setup beyond just chairs. I ended up commandeering the mini fridge and setting my computer up there. It is nice that they have water, sparkling water, coffee, and a few snacks setup in the waiting room. Overall besides the waiting room setup my experience at Safelite was a positive one! Jeff was friendly and my windshield was installed on time!

    Safelite Autoglass seems to be the company all the insurance companies use. I started my insurance claim on the insurance website then all my information was transferred to Safelite. They offer two options when scheduling an appointment. You can go in person or they will come to you. They are very busy so expect to wait a week or two for an appointment. I could have gotten in sooner to the Apex or Durham location. Maybe I would have had a better experience at one of those locations. When I arrived and was checked in service was friendly but did mention that after the repair the windshield might not look any better than it did before the repair. I was also bothered while listening to others checking out that it was suggested they leave 9s or 10s on the survey they may get. They need to leave an honest review on the survey. My appointment started 12 minutes late even though I was to arrive 10 minutes early. Lexi was my repair tech and did speak with me before the repair. I showed her the two window cracks and she said they could be fixed in 20 minutes. After she came back and got me, it did look ok with the angle of the sun at the time. But when I got in to drive away it didn't appear that it had been fixed. I was disappointed as it seems like just one of the cracks was worked on. Quality seems to depend on the tech you get. My fault for not reading the reviews first but I trusted the insurance company recommendation. If this repair doesn't hold or pass the NC inspection next month, I will find another glass shop for the windshield replacement.

    I won't recommend Safelite to anyone, at least the one at Meridien Dr in Raleigh. They changed my windshield, but the new one had a scratch on a corner. I reported the damage and someone came to my home and said he need it to place a new order. Well, one month passed and no one had contacted me, so I had to call. The weird thing is that whoever answered the phone didn't see anything about it on the computer, so she went to ask the head of the mechanics/technicians, he didn't know anything about it either. I asked to speak to a manager, but she was already gone for the day (hint, my call was around 4 pm) so , no manager around, and the head of technicians didn't know anything about my order either..total chaos at that branch. Two days later they called me to schedule a new appt. While waiting for the technician several hours, they called and rescheduled the appt to the next day between 1-6 pm. Well, it was close to 5 pm and no one had called me to give me an estimated time of arrival, so I called. The technician sounded as he was not even prepared to come to my home, and said that he could be at my home at around 5:45 to take a LOOK. I immediately told him that his trip was to change the windshield , not to take ANOTHER LOOK. By the way, this guy didn't know anything at all about the job that the first technician had done. So, a couple of days later, we got lucky and got to talk to Mendy, the store supervisor, and she arranged for a tech to come today Monday, November 18. The technician is outside my home now, and asked me to go outside to explain to me that the new windshield he just brought is also scratched! What a "COINCIDENCE!" The first and second windshields were scratched! I'm starting to think that Safelite buys second hand windshields somewhere and deliberately replaces seriously cracked windshields for those with scratches. The technician couldn't do the job, neither he could communicate with anyone above him because Mondays is the bosses' day off. . Granted that the technician has some fault in it too, for not checking the materials before loading his truck. Safelite needs to provide a laptop to their technicians to write a report and have access to info about previous jobs. It's been 7 weeks since this job was started and has not been done properly. At this point I just need the money returned to my insurance, so I can look for a professional to do what Safelite has not been able to do in 7 weeks., I don't want to know anything about Safelite ever again. It is just fame, and low performance.

    Dec 22 had my niece car window repaired, tech finished and left, it was two days before I saw it, the crack was still there! They will not re do it, nor will they issue a refund. They want u to replace the entire window. More $. Not using Safelite ever again! Poor work quality, even worse customer service. They gave me a managers# it just rings and ring, so to hell with Safelite!

    I had a rock hit my front windshield to give it a nickle size bruise. I called Allstate and made an appt for 9 am, first available was 2 weeks later. It was rough to the touch and I didn't think that it was patchable. But I was told that if it wasn't, Safelite would let me know and they'll schedule another appt. Received reminder texts and emails which let me know to be there about 10 mins prior to appt for checkin. Arrived 8:47 and was 6th in line .. 30 mins later, I checked in. Safelite lost a star because of this. They need to give priority to appts. The gentleman at checkin was calm, courteous and respectful to everyone he attended to. Repair wait time was about 30 mins after they got the car. Even though they have limited capacity, Safelite also had snacks, coffee and cold beverages available for their customers. How thoughtful! I've had them come to my home for repairs but this is the first time in their shop. The work was amazing.. I couldn't believe the difference. Will definitely use them again.

    Insurance companies should contract out to smaller local companies that value their customers and appreciate their business. We went to satellite ONLY because our insurance instructed us to go there but it was such bad service. I dropped my car off at 0800 on Saturday, left and did some errands and when I didn't get a call or text around 4:45 I headed back to satellite, there was two guys guy behind the counter and they both told me they were recalibrating my car and that it would be "super quick." I told them I'll wait in my car and if they could just call me when it's done and I'll come back in. An hour and a half goes by, so it's now 6:30, I walk back inside and I see my car through the building sitting in the back lot, not even being worked on or "recalibrated. " I got really frustrated and the guy said they're gonna start it now and it's AGAIN going to be "super quick." The guy was very apologetic and said they were "slammed" and if I wanted to I could pick it up on Monday, but how am I going to afford a rental when I already paid out $500 in the first place for them to finish it the same day. After seeing other cars that showed up after me get finished and leave way before I did, I will not be going back to this location and also if anyone has an explanation on how they were "slammed" when they were an appointment based window repair shop pls let me know.

    A few weeks ago, I was on I-40 in Raleigh when a small pebble flung from a construction truck and nicked our Jeep's windshield just enough to cause it to start cracking laterally over the course of time. I filed an insurance claim and scheduled my replacement to come out from 1p - 6p today. At 3:15p, Jaleel from Safelite showed up and did a phenomenal job. Took him about 1 hour and the windshield is centered perfectly. They even used the authentic, Mopar windshield with the Jeep decals, etching etc...not some generic windshield. Perfect experience all around and hats off to Jaleel for being friendly and efficient.
