This is a review of proper customer service when you don't get it right the first time. I had a windshield replaced on my 2000 Land Cruiser. The tech warned me before starting that on old cars, things like plastic molding may not survive the work. I accepted the risk, because my windshield was horrible and needed replacing. He removed some plastic molding around the windshield and told me he wasn't able to put it back because it was damaged. He did inform me that if I took the car in, they would cover the labor of putting in new molding (which is cosmetic - the windshield replacement was done). Well, when I took it in another tech looked at the work and very plainly said "this was done incorrectly and it's our fault the molding was damaged. We'll take care of it." Apparently the tech who did the windshield replacement had caused the damage to the molding by taking it off improperly. They ordered the parts and installed the new molding. So, while I was obviously not pleased with the damage from the initial install, I was impressed by their transparency and willingness to own up to the mistake and do the work to make it right. Had my front windshield replaced here a year ago and started having trouble with the rain sensor and driver assist functions shortly after. Took my car to the dealership, not realizing that these issues stemmed from the windshield itself. After just a visual inspection, the dealership told me the glass had been placed incorrectly, that it was sitting just a little too low in the window frame and that this was the cause of the issues I was experiencing. Well, Safelite is supposed to have a lifetime guarantee on their work for as long as I own the car, so the dealership and my insurance company both said to take it back to Safelite to have it fixed. As soon as I showed up to the shop, the guy working here starts telling me how the techs at the dealership "do not know what they are talking about" and how Safelite is not responsible for the malfunctions, even though I had a report from the dealership explaining exactly what the problem was accompanied with a video and detailed explanation. He also said he "could do me a favor and take a look" even though I had this appointment booked for several weeks before today. He followed that up with any cost incurred would be out-of-pocket since I took my car to the dealership and had them look at the vehicle, even though the dealership never actually worked on the windshield and just performed a visual inspection. Very disappointing experience. The technician, Cliffton, called me four times starting at 8:03 AM from his personal phone number. Because I did not recognize the number, I had no way of knowing who was calling. I was at the gym at the time and never received the text message I was told had been sent. After listening to his voicemail, I returned his call at 11:37 AM. I was only about five minutes away from my home at that point. However, he was upset that he had been unable to reach me earlier, despite the fact that my appointment window was scheduled for 12:00 PM-5:00 PM and he was attempting to arrive well before that window. When we spoke, he was rude, unprofessional, and even hung up on me, making the interaction very uncomfortable. His tone and attitude were completely unnecessary given that I was still available within my scheduled appointment window. To be honest, even though I was in the process of cancelling, the job was still completed. I later spoke with Kendall, the manager, who was kind, professional, and took my concerns seriously. He stated that he would escalate the situation and even offered to have his boss reach out to me, which I greatly appreciate. The other manager Joe called as well and stated everything would be documented. I appreciate the swift response from him as well. However, Cliff's behavior was inappropriate and unacceptable. No customer should be spoken to or treated in that manner. I never want anyone else, especially another woman, to experience the level of disrespect I encountered during this interaction. Unfortunately I had to get 2 windshields in less than a year. My technician was Kendall and he is amazing! He provided me with great customer service, explained things willingly when I had questions, accommodated my needs, and provided excellent work on my truck windshield. This is especially important as with the newer cars the windshields have all kinds of sensors, cameras, and need recalibration. For example, my windshield has a heads up display and sensors for when it's raining. Kendall did excellent work. When I have gone there the rest of the staff has been nice as well. My first windshield was through insurance and my second out of pocket. Hopefully I don't need another for a very very long time but if you do need one, I'd absolutely recommend this location. They are also very swift. I booked online and on the day of my appointment was in and out in 2hrs or less. read more

Each visit has been due to either the wrong glass being ordered or installed, and I have been incredibly patient throughout this process. Timeline: * First visit: wrong part ordered. * Second visit: waited, then told the wrong glass had been installed. * Third visit: wrong glass ordered again. * Fourth visit: appointment auto-scheduled while I was out of town, then rescheduled, and yet again -- wrong part ordered. I was told by the manager, Ladeja, that I would be taken care of, but nothing has been resolved. I also can't get in touch with anyone locally or at corporate, and no one has followed up. This experience has been frustrating, unprofessional, and a huge waste of my time. I need someone from Safelite to contact me directly to get this resolved once and for all. I scheduled an appointment online. The quote provided was $281. At checkout it became $335. I used their AI chat to ask why and it only said the price can change because of taxes, fees and service model but I'll get a detailed list of charges AFTER I book the appointment. I selected to pay at the time of the appointment and hit submit. Then I get an email showing that they add fees for recycling the old windshield. No problem if they would just show you that up front. The bigger issue is I needed to install a new rear view mirror and I wanted to ask if they can provide it, if the windshield has a mirror button installed, if so, what compatible mirror should I purchase, etc. But they have no where in their scheduling appointment system to ask those questions. Okay, so I try to call them. But their system quite literally refuses to let you talk to anyone. Their phone system even says a representative will be on the line shortly. The it comes back and says all appointments are now exclusively online and they'll offer a $25 discount to say thank you. I called 3 times and tried to get to a representative and it just takes you back to the same place where it eventually tells you to go online and hangs up on you. I tried to call two local locations with different phone numbers and their phone numbers go to the same phone system that tells you to go online. I tried to call a different number listed as the corporate number and that goes to the same place. I checked online in the My Appointments area and not only is there nowhere to add notes about the appointment, no where to ask questions about rear view mirrors, no where to chat with anyone but then the price online says $295 for some reason. I had no confidence that this appointment would go well so I just canceled it. When I canceled it the online system tried to give me another discount to keep the appointment. What an absolute joke! I would pay $100 more on purpose just to not work with a company that hides their fees until after checkout and then has a service model like that. read more

Got my windshield replaced and when I dropped the car off it had no issues. Get in my car after they gave me the keys and it says my parking break is engaged and needs to be released and continuously beeps. It won't stop. They weren't going to tell me that it had this issue. I went back inside to ask them about it and they said it had multiple codes when they hooked it up but that they can't do anything to fix the issue. Took it to autozone to hook it up to the OBD2 reader and they said it has no codes. They now want me to bring it back tomorrow to be looked at again. Waste of time. read more

My wife got the windshield of her car repaired at this Safelite AutoGlass in Marietta. Years ago, I had Safelite come out to my workplace in Marietta, but my wife decided to go to them instead. There is a $19.99 fee if you want Safelite to come to you. I think the convenience and time savings are worth it. My wife's windshield had a small crack in it from interstate rubble. More appointments were available in-store than mobile. She booked an appointment at this location in Marietta the day before her visit. Her appointment was on a Tuesday at 10:00am. She showed up on time and left in less than hour. Pretty good. Safelite charged $139.99 for the windshield repair labor, $7.99 for the repair supplies, and I advised my wife to buy the $34.99 rain defense. I think the latter is good to keep her safe on the road. My wife found a $15 discount online and that was applied to the order. After tax, the total bill for the visit was $170.55. The technician was James. He did a good job. We can still tell the crack is there, but we have the peace of mind that it won't get worse and the windshield has been saved. This Safelite is located not far from the Big Chicken in Marietta, across the street from Kennesaw State's Marietta campus (old Southern Poly), next door to Guinn's, where I have taken my car on multiple occasions. My wife waited at the store while they worked. Safelite was great at keeping her notified and updated about her appointment via texts and emails. A detailed, itemized receipt was emailed to her before and after the work was complete (before for pre-authorization). At the store, receptionist Vicky and technician James kept my wife constantly updated. Excellent communication and customer service. The waiting room was clean and comfortable. I booked an appointment to replace glass on a 1970 Camaro. The appointment was to be tomorrow 4/30/25. I booked online using Safelite website and selected the year and model of vehicle directly from the site. I received a call moments ago that stated that "we do not service cars that old." Very matter of fact and very rude. If you don't service that age of vehicle, it needs not to be an option on your website! And then, waiting until the day before to let me know. Sometimes a business can be so bad, that it's truly hard to believe that such places exist. Even after reading of the bad reviews, due to the insurance company working with Safelite and being hesitant with alternative options that required more cost, time and logistical challenges, had to proceed with this company for a recent glass replacement. Delays occurred consistently without notifications, resulting in a 5 week wait instead of estimated two, indicating lack of technicians as the reason for multiple delays. Upon receiving the glass, the technician showed up very late (several hours). He replaced the window, but did not remove any of the shattered glass from the interior or inside the door, resulting in a glass sound when closing the door every time. He expected this was a satisfactory job and pretended this was normal. After I informed him it's not and him not having the right tools to take the door apart (wait what?), he suggested to do it the next day. Manager was not helpful either, getting into a blame game with the tech and very unprofessional. Arriving next day, he did get most of the glass from the inside the door, but failed to properly clean the car, with glass all over the place. The volume of hazard they created was truly amazing. All around, SafeLite is a disaster. Disorganized, broken processes, unequipped and poorly trained technicians. Avoid at all costs. Sadly not one positive thing to add. read more

Worst customer service ever!! I had an appointment from 1-6 pm, stayed home all afternoon waiting and waiting. Got no call or text saying why nobody was showing up. I called every number online for the shop and customer service and it was an automated voicemail that would end the call about 2 minutes into "waiting to speak to a representative". I then had to drive up to the store the next day just to talk to a human; at this point I was furious and asked politely for some discount (thinking I'd get a 20-40% off for the inconvenience). Nope best they could do was take off less than 15%. Took 8 days from booking the original appointment till when my windshield finally got repaired. As soon as he walked in, they started working on his windshield, and they also didn't raise their price like another Safelite AutoGlass did. Not a good experience at all! 4 visits & 3 windshield installations on the same car over approx. one month timeframe and they ended up breaking my windshield wipers, leaving them inoperable, but we didn't know, until it rains a few days later--BIG problem! Impossible to speak to anyone at the local shop over the phone. They also lost our PeachPass and automatic gate reader on the THIRD windshield replacement, after carefully transferring them on the first 2, costing me additional time & expense. Still seeking reimbursement of out-of- pocket expenses. Staff at Marietta location is useless, and it appears the national customer no-service dept is as well! Much better choices out there & national chain Safelite isn't one I'll ever consider again. Rescheduled for two days later and the technician called to say that the glass would not got in his van and I should come in to the shop. The tech that came out was fine and did a fine job, I would rate him 4 stars. However, I purchased a windshield online and paid in full during black Friday and I had a discount. The first tech rescheduled because they didn't have the parts in stock, so he scheduled it for the next day. I was unable to make that work so I asked to reschedule to a later date. Safelite then tried to change me for rescheduling. I messaged support through a text message and was assured that there would be no charge. I screen shot the original receipt and the conversation. I also had a voicemail from the original tech stating that I had paid in full. Thank goodness I kept records. Safelite then removed the Black Friday deals and my discount. They deleted the records from my Safelite account and claimed that I under paid. So they tried to charge me an additional $65 dollars. I called customer service and they refused to take the extra $65 charge off and instead offered me a $50 discount so I would have to pay an additional $15. I threatened to escalate and show proof of purchase. So they offered to reach out to the local shop to tell them to waive the extra $15. Their customer support reached out after for a survey and they were suppose to get back to me to try to put the matter right but it's been 3 weeks. So I'm posting reviews. The whole experience feels like a setup and a scam to get out of honoring their own discounts. I will post this review in as many places as possible to warn people to copy their receipts from Safelite and make sure that they don't overcharge you. read more

I have not written many reviews, but my ongoing experience over the past couple of months with Safelite has been one of the worst service experiences I've ever been through with any company. I have now had to reschedule 5 different appointments out of my control due to issues that Safelite had to have my windshield replaced, expecting the process to be smooth and efficient. Unfortunately, it was anything but. They have had varying issues such as not having the correct windshield, the windshield not being delivered, having a broken windshield available, and not hearing from a technician on the appointment date scheduled. I contacted Safelite's customer service to report the issues and to continue to reschedule appointments and let them know this was now the 5th time I had to reschedule due to issues Safelite was having on their end. They have continued to be unhelpful. After much back and forth, they keep agreeing to reschedule with an excuse each time why they cannot complete the service leaving me to drive around with a continued cracked windshield. Overall, the service has been unprofessional and the customer service is frustratingly unresponsive. I expected much better from a company with such a strong reputation in the industry. I received a quote from Safelite to repair my window and scheduled an appointment for them to come out to my home. I had shopped around for the best price and Safelite offered a 50.00 discount over the web if I went with them. I took the offer and scheduled the appointment. Saturday morning, I received a call that the technician who was scheduled to come to my home had called out sick and asked if I could bring the car in. Brought the car in and the work was done, but my card was charged the full amount, which was 404.00, and they left off the 50.00 which was why I chose them. I had several lower quotes by other agencies but chose safelite because they offered this coupon and offered to come to my home. I told the associate who told me "You need to contact customer service over the web" we cant help you locally. I immediately went home, started a chat and was told, "you need to call the 866,,,number on Monday morning." On Monday I called and was connected directly to the store mgr who said "why didn't you say something on Saturday?" and then stated, "we've already invoiced the work there's nothing we can do" I have been back and forth between the store and Safelite only to be told of a "system" issue that didn't take the coupon and theres NOTHING we can do. I suggested, "just refund the charge and recharge the correct amount" , just like ANY OTHER RETAIL ESTABLISHMENT". They insist, this cant be done and have been given a hearty,,,"Oh well,,,," when voiced my concerns. Avoid this place! Technicians broke the trim molding and instead of owning it and fixing it, they glued the trim molding to the window. When I called them on it as I had bought the car and realized what they did previously, they stated too bad, the warranty is void because this was done with the previous owner! Literally as I am about to walk out of my house at 830AM Saturday morning to go to my appointment, I get a call that my windshield was not in the warehouse, and was apparently not ordered. I am not sure why any business would wait until the day of to check if a necessary part was in stock. My appointment was canceled, and I was supposed to receive a call on Monday about a new one. Well, it is Tuesday, and still no follow-up. I figured that this would happen based on me reading the reviews after the fact. I made an appointment with another company that costs less AND they will come to me. No need for me to go through my insurance, and the reviews are top-notch. Excellent experience! Great customer service and a high-quality installation on a Lexus UX250h, along with a required camera calibration. USAA initially approved an aftermarket replacement windshield. Marcus and his very experienced technician Reggie, explained that camera calibration was usually only satisfactorily accomplished on OEM glass. Marcus contacted USAA and got them to approve an OEM replacement windshield. Install was rescheduled and went very well. Glass looks great, an OEM-quality install, and the camera and HUD work perfectly. I really appreciate the work and highly recommend this Safelite location. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE/EXPERIENCE. I set an appointment to have my window replaced. They show up and tell me I need to reschedule for the next day. When I call they tell me it will be a week later. Once the repair was complete, the door would not open. When I called the tech to let them know, they told me to go straight to the repair shop location to have it fixed. I show up after driving 30 minutes for them to tell me I need an appointment and the repairmen are at lunch. They start to shame the tech that told me to come in. This whole process took over a week and took three days of MY time to get resolved. They offered ZERO compensation for my wasted time and did NOT apologize once. You are better off using a different window repair service. Tyrone from customer service line is also completely useless. read more

The technician came to repair a TINY chip smaller than a pea. First, EVERY call from him he kept setting me up by telling me how there was this possibility of them cracking my windshield of it was too hot outside. I first rescheduled because it was a 90 degree day. The second day, the high was about 82, yet I still get the potential cracked windshield warning, more than once. I offered to bring my car to the shop so that they could have it in a controlled environment to prevent that. I don't have time for a cracked windshield. Frankly, I've never heard of a windshield cracking from filling in a tiny chip. I used to use Safelight MANY times as a fleet manager and NEVER had this warning or any issues. So, the tech arrives, looks at my teeny weeny chip and AGAIN tells me that while he repairs it, should it result in a crack over 6 inches, they will have to replace the windshield. WTH? How on earth could that possibly happen?? So, somehow I'm possessed with allowing him to go ahead and do this. I mean, it's easy. I have friends who do this but didn't want to bother them when I have history with a company that comes to me. About 20 minutes later he's done. Personally I thought that was pretty quick as there are many steps that require careful patience. Tho I have him the benefit of experience and special tools. He tells me that I will still be able to see it from the inside. Which is complete crap because I've done many of these and the ONLY thing you see is a tiny bit of distortion in the glass, NOT chip or crack. Especially with this tiny thing. He didn't even clean the surface he was working on. He tells me not to touch it for a while, I forget how long but I have it about 6 hours. I come out and touch it and there is not only a sticky bump, but it doesn't even cover the little chip!!! And heck yea you can see it from the inside, even MORE! WTH?!?!? I could've dropped a dot of resin on the chip and have done better than that! I could've at least flattened it out! I've since talked to two body shop owners and two of my male friends that do this kind of stuff. Well, who isn't capable of this? I could've bought a kit but I had Safelight come out because of convenience. As anyone knows, once a chip or crack has resin in it, it's done, it cannot be redone or the botched job fixed. Now I need the windshield replaced. Now that I need a new windshield, I'm screwed because clearly Safelight can't do that. My car requires a special glass, which is very expensive, hence having the chip repaired immediately. Dealers charge $1200. My deductible is $500 but I don't know if it will cover something like this. I am going to report this to BBB and see what else I can do to recoup this cost. Obviously I'm going to look and see what else I can do to replace this windshield, but I do NOT trust any of these dumb a$$ techs at Safelight. Not with the type of glass I'm about to have to order. Tho I will consult my BMW guys and see what they can do to help me. I didn't want to bother them with a chip or I would've started with them. I have been attempting every possible way to reach someone at Safelight to no avail. I even made another appointment to have someone come out because that's how I got them to call me last time. If I have to, I'll keep it just to get a human to speak to. There literally is NO phone number that takes you to a human. All of the numbers tell you to go to the website. There is a customer service, sorta, email, but it's not really even for this sort of thing. I don't know if this is a franchise or not, but I think they purposely did this to my windshield so that they'd have to come back and put in a new windshield at a huge cost to me. I very much believe this technician did this on purpose. I don't think he liked how I went back and forth with him about the cracking or asking him why I would see it in the inside. He was dismissive and clearly took what I was concerned about personally. Tho he was giving me very much reason to be concerned. At the VERY LEAST I want my $88 refunded immediately. I'm not sure yet what actions I'm taking about the windshield replacem ****IN RESPONSE TO THE "OWNER'S FEEDBACK*** Firstly, WHY WONT ANYONE CONTACT ME????? Your response is lame! I don't like to post negative reviews, but want to warn folks about the reckless and unprofessional actions of this business so that others don't end up suffering negative consequences like we did after the unfortunate choice to have them replace my car window. My driver's side window was shattered by an individual who assaulted me and whom the police instructed to pay for the damage. This person continued to harass me and refused to pay, even though he was given a copy of the invoice/receipt with some of my personal information redacted. He contacted the Safelite branch and THEY GAVE THIS VIOLENT CRIMINAL ALL OF MY PERSONAL INFORMATION, despite my explanation of the situation and my request to NOT share my personal information with anyone. As if it wasn't bad enough to violate my privacy, and to put me further in harm's way, they also DIDN'T INSTALL THE GLASS WINDOW CORRECTLY! From the time that they did the installation (which was so quick, I should have known it was too good to be true), the window made a whistling sound on the highway, repeatedly came off the track, and eventually wouldn't roll up at all. I did not want to go back to them, especially after they blatantly disregarded my safety. I brought it to another car repair place where they showed me how the glass had never been installed properly -- that there are clips that keep the glass affixed to the regulator and which should have been secured with an adhesive, but it was obvious that UN-SAFELITE had failed to do this. Their incompetence cost me an additional $200 to have the other repair shop fix what UN-SAFELITE had botched. If I could leave a zero star review, I WOULD! I have never seen a less professional outfit then this. First, they schedule appointments BEFORE knowing they have the part. THREE TIMES! Who does that? Second, they send the part to the wrong location (allegedly). I say allegedly as I was called to confirm a supposed appointment for tomorrow yet again, NO part! Third, they no show you with no notification, AND drop your appointment from their online scheduler. Fourth, despite supposedly knowing that the customer is the PURPOSE of their EXISTENCE, they act like they cannot be bothered. Wish I had read the reviews before trying to get my auto glass replaced at Safelite! Made 2 trips to have my windshield replaced and each time was sent home because the glass was not in stock. Adding insult to injury the email I received to schedule my appointment for the THIRD time showed a cost that was $80 higher than my original quote. Learned my lesson and taking my business elsewhere. Update- After my poor experience with Safelite I called H&A Mobile Auto Glass and they replaced my windshield at my home for $200 LESS than the safelite quote. read more

This Safelite Team here is amazing from the young woman scheduler in the front office, to Marcus, the technicians and everyone at this location. Everyone was so nice, respectful, professional, and quick. My insurance provider Progressive gave them a hard time and would not approve the Original glass on a brand new car and had the Safelite team install an after market part that did not re-calibrate. The Safelite team was diligent and sent additional Insurance documentations and approvals emails several times. They truly worked on my behalf with Progressive (even though Progressive was being cheap and reluctant)! I just want to say thank you and write a review of a great Team here. I had a small crack in my windshield that ended up stretching to the drivers side from the passenger side. I set up everything online and was even able to pay. It was easy to get an appointment that was good for my schedule. My Technician Michael was amazing. His communication skills were excellent and he was very professional. He let me know everything he was doing and kept me updated VIA text message as I was seeing patients all day. When he was finished he came to give me my key. He let me know all the warranty information and even said if I had any additional questions I could reach out to him personally. I would definitely use Safelite again, and I'd request Michael. He seemed to really love what he was doing and that made working with him even better! Great job Michael, I appreciate all you did today! The new windshield looks great!!! read more

I am absolutely dissatisfied with the lackluster service provided by the technician Clifford. The Appointment time was scheduled for 11AM on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. I arrived 1 hour ahead of the appointment time and decided to wait for the appointment. Due to my vehicle being broken into over the previous weekend, I ensured all glass was cleaned from the area and the window was covered with bags to help with the amount of time the technician would have to work. Clifford immediately informed me that he would not be able to replace the glass because the window was broken while in the up position and the window motor was now out so he had no way of getting it to go down to put in a glass. I explained to Clifford that there should have been nothing wrong with the motor considering the fact that the window was used the entire day prior to the break-in. He preceded to tell me that the motor was gone and that I needed to take the vehicle to the dealer and have the motor replaced and then return for the glass to be put in. He went on to say that the window would not make a sound when he pressed the button up and down but he would wrap the window. I asked for a 2nd opinion from his co-worker, who agreed as Clifford attempted to talk over me about the motor needing to be replaced first. The two gentleman stated that even if they put the glass in , it would not stay up because the motor was gone in the window. I further explained I simply wanted a glass in the spot to protect my vehicle from the elements. The refused, stating they couldn't guarantee the work and it would be a risk. Still not sure on their statement, I waited for my vehicle to be pulled from the bay. As I got into my vehicle and drove off I decided to press the button and I immediately heard sound as the window motor was running. When I turned around and went back to the shop I informed Clifford that his statement was untrue and that I tested the button myself. He immediately became defensive and stated, "you will just have to wait because I've already pulled another vehicle in. "I explained to him that my appointment was at 11 and it was only 11:15, the install was scheduled to take 45 minutes so technically it was still my time, he still moved forward with the other vehicle. I again waited. He pulled my vehicle in again and replaced the window and began to apologize, as I'm sure he realized I would not be allowing this to go unreported. The apology was heard but not accepted because I think its extremely unacceptable to blatantly lie to a customer who is patronizing a business which will in return become that individuals paycheck. This is by far my worst experience with this place. Sadly, car break-ins are so prevalent in Atlanta, this was my 2nd time using this location in a month, however, I assure you it will be my ABSOLUTE LAST! read more

Do not give them your real email address when you request a quote - they spam you with repeated followups even after you opt out. Use some throwaway email address instead. (I had my windshield repaired at a different place - great job at half the cost Safelite quoted) read more
