We were referred to Safelite by our insurance company. We called and made an appointment. We were told we would get a call from technician to give us an eta in the morning. No call cam so we called Safelite and we're told the windshield is on the truck and he's be here between noon and 5:00. We waited home all afternoon, no call and a no show. We called again and they said something went wrong but rescheduled for today. It's like Dejavu. The exact same problem. No call in the morning so I called and was told he'd be here about 3:30. No call, no tech at 3:30, 4:00, 4:30, 5:00. I called Safelite and again was told "something went wrong". No more. Called geico and they put me in touch with another company locally who assured me they would be here when they said they would and WOULD call in the morning to give us an eta. I had a very tiny rock chip. I didn't want it to get bigger and crack the window. Everyone, especially the lady at the front was so nice. It didn't take long either..... If I could give less than 1 star I would. My car is brand new, with less than 179 miles on it, I took it to Safelite because that's where my insurance company wanted me to go, and I really didn't want to. I dropped the car off and when I picked it up I didn't walk around the car to check it out, the place was closing and I wanted to get home. Driving home all I could hear was wind whistling, and I noticed the black area around the bottom and sides of the windshield was tilted. My passenger airbag had been turned off, my display on my dashboard was changed, my seat moved and the rearview mirror completely out of whack. The windshield was so dirty I could barely see out of it. When I got home and my husband and I walked around it you could clearly see it's crooked, either that or the glass was just plain made wrong AND installed improperly. When I tried to use my wipers this morning my rh. wiper blade actually hits my pillar of my car on the passenger side. I am so fearful it's going to rain because my windshield is obviously installed incorrectly. I also thought, if they did this bad of an install, what else did they do? So, I went outside and walked all the way around the car, and yeah, huge scrape in the rear quarter panel, it took all the paint off and scraped up my bumper and plastic wheel guard. Gross negligence! Do not ever take your car to Safelite on Everett Ave. I personally won't be going to any of them, and am prepared to fight USAA (my insurance company and referrer of these incompetents) in order to get my BRAND NEW CAR fixed right. Oh, and they put aftermarket glass in my car, and I only want OEM in it, I was never given a choice or told what they use. Totally unacceptable. read more

The second technician (Steven) was great. I'd give them five stars, except for two things: 1) the price. Holy yikes that's expensive! Teeny tiny window ran $500! Replaced a roll up window in San Fran for $200, so I'm not sure why this was so much. 2) they ordered the wrong part from Chevy and we had to reschedule. The first technician (Joseph) didn't verify he had the driver-side part before driving out to me. I had already removed the window cover I had made (which was very stable, quiet, and waterproof) so he could do the work. But since he couldn't do the replacement, he put this cheap plastic film over the shards of glass. Thin plastic ... next to sharp glass ... Anyway, that was so flimsy and incredibly loud. Luckily I was leaving for a work trip, so I wasn't driving my car (and had a secure garage to put it in). They were able to get it repaired correctly on the first day I was back from my trip. read more

The tech was great however there is Soooo much glass still in my liftgate everytime I close my liftgate I just hear glass everywhere and now my rear view camera is going in and out. Not sure if it's in relation to all the glass still in there but it would have been nice to have a better cleanout read more

On March 9th, I took my Hyundai Tucson in to have the windshield replaced. This was a factory windshield from when I purchased the vehicle. I filled out the information online that requested all of the information concerning style, tint, etc. My vehicle had a factory direct windshield that included a sunshade across the top. When Safelite replaced it they installed a windshield that does not have a sunshade. I was t that the part installed was correct based on the VIN. Since they are not responding to me I went to the local Hyundai dealership to find out what is correct. They contacted the Hyundai factory in Korea and I have an email stating that the sunshade was standard equipment on my vehicle. I have contacted the store and their customer service multiple times and am being ignored and blown off. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. read more

I have been trying to get my windshield replaced since early June. SafeLite has not shown up to several mobile appointments and has not called to let me know they were not going to show...so I decided to get it done at the shop. I was told that if I got to the shop early they would be able to get me in earlier than my scheduled appointment. I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes until after my scheduled appointment before they collected my car to start work. And the waiting room at this location is awful! Quite possibly as hot inside as it is outdoors on this 85 degree day. The people in the "help center" have offered no help and one even hung up on me. The use of SafeLite is a waste of my time and emotional well-being. Their customer service over these past months has been atrocious and at times they are demeaning, rude and unprofessional. I have spend at least 50 hours on hold and spoken to more than 100 people from SafeLite. I have never had such poor quality service! As my car is presently being repaired, I will hold out hope that the quality of the replacement windshield is okay...but only time will tell. I was told that a $60 windshield wiper charge would be taken off my bill..so they just did not replace the wipers! I have nothing good to state about SafeLite, other than to say that most of them are very good at apologizing...they must get a lot of practice. And then they walk away and just ignore the issue. I had to replace a side window on my pickup after a break-in. The Safelite website offered me some options for appointments and I scheduled one two days out. I dropped off my truck, they called me a couple hours later when it was ready. I picked up the truck, no muss, no fuss. read more

This is a warning. Do not pick this store for any window repair or replacement. Today was my second attempt to have a windshield replaced. The first time I dropped off the car, waited an hour then was told they did not have the windshield. They gave every lame excuse and blamed everyone, never accepting they screwed up. So, I rescheduled. I called the day before to make sure my window was there, and was told it was. I again dropped my car off. After an hour I received a call. "We don't have the right seal for the windshield so we need to reschedule ". When I arrived back at the shop I asked to speak with the manager, Andy. I told him this was my second attempt to get the window fixed. He proceeded to blame the warehouse, When I asked why they didn't check to make sure all parts were ordered and there he said 'we don't know what a car needs until we see it'. Soooo does that mean they have to see every car 2X? My car was there once, and they could have looked them and made sure to get it right! When I asked about that, His excuse was 'well I was not there that day'. The real kicker was his condensending attitude towards me because I am a woman. I guess a woman is too dumb to understand about car parts. Because he told me "mam, don't you understand not all cars take the same part?" I was incredibly insulted. He also wanted to REUSE OLD PARTS, OLD SEALS to replace my window that day. So the employee came to fix my windshield from a small pebble that hit it. My crack was less than half an inch. After working on my car he said due to the pressure he opened the crack up to 2 inches. He then quoted me a full windshield replacement rather than help me out otherwise for ruining my window more than it was. Huge regret going to them. read more

Safelite cancelled an appointment back in July, 2021. When they finally came out September 18, 2021 they said the chip cannot be repaired - its too big now and you need a new windshield. Then they wanted $100 as the deductible. If they had fixed it on the original appointment, it would have cost me nothing. I asked them to waive the $100 because it was their fault that they took too long to get to me. They refused. Sounds fishy to me. 1. Cancelled appointment that would have been free to me. 2. Recommended a new windshield, which I wouldn't have needed. 3. Charging me $100 deductible because they canceled my appointment. 4. Refusing to waive the $100 as a good will gesture. I won't be using them anymore, even though my insurance company referred them. UPDATE: Safelite notified me that they are waiving the $100 deductible. read more

I made an appointment over 2 weeks ago and gave my insurance information and they call less than 24 hours before the appointment to tell me we need conference call my insurance company. Mind you, I sent them the quote on my car from the insurance company. So, I call and I was told it was not Safelite's responsibility to verify my insurance, no but after I gave them my information and made an appointment it was their responsibility to communicate what they needed. I had an appointment yesterday for 2 vehicles to have dings fixed. I waited for 5 hours for Dave from the Everett/Bellingham, WA office to show up. He never called and never showed up. I spoke to Dean at the Bellingham office this morning to find out what happened. He said he doesn't know. He gave no indication he was going to inquire about the incident. I was going to reschedule but the only person he could send out this week was Dave. I said I wanted someone else and Dean said Dave is quitting next Friday and after that he has no other techs. I start by saying the install guy was extremely professional and courteous..., he installed my new windshield and as he was laying it into place the glass cracked in two spots on the passenger side.... The cracks were fairly significant.... He informed me of the issue and felt terrible that he had to still ask me for my deductible.. he said that someone would reach out to do a warranty replacement within the day.. I payed the deductible and thanked the installer.... Since then I have not heard a word from Safelight... I tried to get a hold of a human at their customer service number and it kept referring me to the warranty replacement page and would not connect me with a human.. at the end of the call on the service line it would just hang up on me.. I waited for a whole day and they told me they won't replace my glass because the previous installer drilled a couple holes on the side frame next to the class...they told me to take it somewhere and get the holes welded/fixed before they can install the windshield. Then they went to my dealership and got copies of my repair orders after I sent them multiple copies. I still have not received my reimbursement. Safelite is horrible! If I could give them a -5 stars rating, I would without even hesitating!! First of all, you might think that dropping off your car at their shop will allow them more time and they should have all their tools to get the job completed with the highest quality and perfection right? Well, that was my wishful thinking and so I took time off work and made arrangements with someone to shuttle me back and forth to Safelite rather than taking up their mobile service. Almost a month ago, I dropped off my Lexus to get the front windshield replaced. I am very picky and baby my cars and so I left a note on my dash telling the tech to take their time and to do an excellent job. I take pride in my cars and want to keep it in pristine condition. I'm super OCD too if something is not fixed right. I even gave my car a nice wash and completely vacuumed my car and wiped down the whole interior and door jams, the day prior to dropping off my car so they can have a clean surface and car to work on. When the car was completed and I went back to pick it up, I inspected their work and that's when I stood there and wanted to cry. Whoever worked on my car did a terrible job! They probably did not test fit my new windshield on first and so the fitment was so off! It was so off that the little cutout window that shows the VIN number on the windshield covered almost half of my VIN number. On top of that, they also put way too much of the black seal glue so it oozed into the VIN number when they pressed the new windshield on. They also probably did not wrap any of their prying tools with a soft towel and so when they pop off the plastic trim covering the wires for the rear view mirror and dome light, they left gouges on the trim piece and also cracked the clips making it not pop back into place securely anymore. In addition, they also did not wipe down my dash or transfer my Lexus VIP sticker to the new windshield. Had to tell the guy to dig in their trash to get my VIP sticker off the old windshield! There were tiny little black rubber specks all over my dash and foot prints on my door sills as if they stood on it for leverage. I stated my complaints then and there and all they offered me was to take my car back for a warranty replacement. I reported my complaints to safelite and also had my insurance contact them to file the complaint. It took almost 2 weeks until I heard back from someone and this time, I had the tech come out to my house. This person was very nice and I explained the situation and he said he's going to take his time and make sure it's done right this time. It's like he had a passion for cars and so he definitely took his time and did so much better. He took the windshield off and put on another new windshield but he said that he was unable to scrape off/clean the residue off my VIN number. I told him that I guess I'll just have to deal with it because it wasn't him that caused it. He also confirmed that the tabs on the trim piece were broken and so they will have to order a new one. DONT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A NEW VEHICLE!!!Was sent here by my insurance company to have my windshield on my 2018 Toyota replaced. Apparently my safety sense camera on my rearview mirror has to be recalibrated with the install of the new window. They said they could do it but I'd have to bring it into their office....so I took the day off work and brought it in, after two hrs they told me that they couldn't because it was too new and that I'd have to take it to the dealer. Now the dealer is refusing to calibrate it because they said safelite is the one who messed it up...I confronted safelite and they told me to kick rocks.... read more

WAVY SEAL: Had my Lexus windshield replaced twice by these folks in the last 5 years.... The rubber windshield edge was installed pretty sloppily this time with a seal that, although it functions, it dips and rises at the seam between the frame and the glass like a waterpark slide. Looks pretty crappy and dirt/debris collects in the valleys now. This is the 2nd replacement of the same windshield by the same company. This experience was just as friendly as the first although the workmanship has since suffered. read more

I live in Shoreline, yet drive up to Everett as my windshield needs calibrating. First appt was a no-go because they didn't order the right windshield (even though they had my info from a year ago) and I had to take time off from work. Second trip seemed fine, but the interior is fogging up alllll the time now and my car is telling me my front camera isn't working. Impossible to talk with a service rep (because of covid, the msg says?!)... so I'm not sure how to get this resolved easily. I would give a zero star rating if possible. After waiting a month for an appointment, I arrived to a parking lot in disarray, a full waiting room of people, and a rude front desk person. After leaving my car, I was informed by phone two hours later that the parts were damaged, and the repair could not be finished. I asked when it could be completed and was told the parts would be ordered and I would be contacted. After waiting two weeks, I called back and was told I would be contacted when they were available. Referred by my agent, and pleasantly surprised by speed and service. Walked in after a rock pummeled my windshield during morning commute. Honestly, I just got my car back from a body shop, so not sure what to expect from a glass-only place. Dan & Mark got me in right away. Bonus, they had bottled water, newspapers, Keurig buckets, and the cleanest damn floor in Everett. 30 minutes and a fun conversation or two later, I was out of there. My divot is now a slight blemish, and my crack risk is low to none. They even let me in to the work area watch them fix my baby car, even though I could see the precious thing through a big ole window. This office has recently been upgraded, and it's a good thing - as it now matches the service level I received. Everett may not deserve them. I hope my windows stay intact, but if not - I'll be back to see the efficient staff, friendly faces & flavored coffee. read more
