UPDATE: 01/31/2026 - I did some research earlier this week and found story after story of Safelite messing up the cameras and refusing to fix them or admit fault. I was actually shocked at all the stories that were so very much like mine, including the dealership not being able to calibrate the cameras after a windshield replacement. I dug deeper and read 2 accounts eerily similar to mine and both of them ended up being resolved by Safelite. Apparently, Safelite has a "calibration specialist" on staff. Interesting that they don't tell you this. This specialist was able to recalibrate the camera in BOTH of these stories I read. AH HA! So, I called Nicole and relayed this information. I also told her I had talked to Anthony from Kendall Subaru who told me Nicole had asked him how Safelite could prevent this from happening in the future (ah - so they now admit they did it). He apparently shared some good information with her. Nicole said they did indeed have a "calibration specialist" and that he was currently in the shop. I raced down with my car to see if Ray could work a miracle. He did. He literally worked a miracle. Apparently he did something that regular employees of Safelite AND Kendall Subaru are completely clueless as to how to fix. How is that even possible? How did Safelite NOT ask their resident calibration specialist to look at my car a month ago? Why did Kendall Subaru lie to me and say the only option was to replace my camera at a cost of $4400? I have no idea how to answer these excellent questions but I am so grateful to Ray, who is clearly skilled, knowledgeable, and willing to help. He spent ample time explaining what happened to my car and was very kind. He agreed that they do need to train their employees better. Please, Safelite, follow through on this. THE TAKE AWAY - For those of you with cameras, I suggest going to your dealership to have them remove the cameras BEFORE you get your windshield replaced. IF you don't do this, then be aware that Safelite has a CALIBRATION SPECIALIST who actually does know what he's doing. Lastly, please be aware that your dealership doesn't want to FIX what's broken, they just want to charge you a huge sum of money to replace it. Thank you Ray!!!! You rock. read more

Replaced Tesla windshield in the time frame and reception and technician were kind and professional.

I had two chips in my windshield repaired last year. Both repairs were done poorly and didn't even look like any repair was made, however I was told that the cost of the repairs would be deducted from the replacement cost if either chip started spreading. Recently I noticed that one of my chips had started to spread, and called for a replacement estimate. I decided to pay out of pocket rather than have my insurance premiums go up again for another claim, and I was told that if I paid out of pocket, that I would have to pay the full price of the replacement. They do terrible work, terrible customer service and I will never use or recommend Safelite again. read more

I have had nothing but bad experiences at this Safelite. The first time I came to them, I was told that my appointment/drop off time was 7am, but they don't even open until 8am. I stood outside, knocking on the door, while staff inside completely ignored my presence for an hour. This second time that I visited them (for faulty installation that resulted in a stress crack), they had my car for 9 hours and didn't do any work. I dropped my car off at 9am, and made them aware that the appointment was for a warranty replacement. They accepted my car. By 4:45pm, I had not heard from them a single time all day. I gave them a call to see what the status was, they told me they were still "working" on it and would need about 1 additional hour, and I took their word for it. At 6pm, I received a call telling me that they couldn't do any work on my car because the damage was not covered by the warranty. They claimed they found the source of the crack, but coincidentally, a technician was not available to show me, so I would have to come back some other time if I wanted an explanation. They should have called me earlier, or at least told me this over the phone when I called THEM. It sounded to me like they hadn't even given my windshield a glance until I called them around closing time. Meanwhile, I had to take the day off of work as I was stranded without transportation. This location scammed me. They charged my credit card a far higher price than what the service receipt showed and what they told me during the service. The phone number to the specific Safelite location is not listed anywhere. The parking spots in the parking lot are way too small and someone sideswiped my car in the lot. My husband had his windshield replaced there, and the wipers didn't work correctly afterward, even after he went back again to have them fix them. The staff is pleasant. read more

Dropped my daughter's SUV off to replace the windshield and a passenger window that were smashed while she was parked in Seattle. They pushed to "preauthorize" her card for the amount that will be due when work is completed. Fine - should just be the $50 deductible. They "accidently" held $1,500 on her card! Ooopsie - that was the cash price - so sorry. Then 2 hours later another gal calls her and says - "You dropped your car off early (morning for an afternoon appointment)". She tells them that was when her ride could bring her, but she knows they are starting the car later and just let her know when it is done. The gal then says, "But we have to preauthorize your card before we do any work". She tells her they already did - for way more than the cost. Gal proceeds to argue with her. Then calls back all apologetic. No call all day. Next morning they say you can come get the SUV. We arrive - NO WORK DONE. Now they say they can't get her in for 4 more days! Rude staff, unorganized work flow, horrible (non) service. Do not go to this Safelite location. read more

I waited almost a month a half for a windshield for my wrangler. It wasn't Safelite's fault at all it was a supply chain issue. Throughout these last almost 2 months safelite has been in contact with me the whole time trying to figure out how to get me my glass. Jen has been my main contact and she has been amazing! She has gone above and beyond to make sure this gets handled for me. She has been kind, patient, and understanding of the situation that I am in. Katie also contacted me to try to get it handled as well and even let me contact her personally when I had problems. Throughout this annoying process I am grateful I went through it with the people here because they made it more bearable with the way that they specifically were handling it. And finally..... I'm getting my glass replaced today! Thank you guys for everything. Side note for other people: if you can't get your glass don't take it out on the people who work there because they have nothing to do with it. I'd give zero stars if I could. I gave them my VIN when I made the appointment so they could order the right parts. Even had to wait 9 days for the appointment. Dropped off my car and about 30 minutes later I received a call stating they had ordered the wrong part. Even though they had the parts to replace one of the two windows that were damaged, they wouldn't. Claimed it was due insurance. I was going to use my own credit card to pay for it. When I went to go pick up my car, they said they would call me later that day to reschedule my appointment. I did not receive a call from them for 10 days. I called three times asking about rescheduling my car and each time they said they would call me back immediately, apparently Michelle had my file 'right in front of her' and was working on it as we were speaking lol. I decided to call West Coast auto glass after the third call wasn't returned and they got me in the next day. I could not have been happier. They got me in and out in an hour, not the several hours I was expecting to wait for Safelite to do the same work. Do not waste your time or money on this place. Believe the other bad reviews. Overall a very frustrating experience. I was trying to scrape off a window sticker on the rear glass of my 2006 Honda civic and it shattered. I inquired with Safelite on Thursday when this occurred, set up an appointment online for them to come replace the rear window at my house earlier this morning between 7am-noon. I get a call from the employee as he's driving over that they won't do a mobile replacement for the rear window of a Honda civic because it's too big of a window and it is sloped too much for one person to be able to lift it? So, I'd have to drive in and do my business with them in person. I call them up, schedule an appointment with them at noon at their Everett location, get there about 10 minutes early and they've got at least 5-6 people waiting already in the lobby. I finally get to the receptionist and she can't find my appointment in the computer. I explained what happened and says it'll be at least a couple hours, so I wait outside in my car for about an hour before an employee finally comes up and says it's time for my car to be worked on. Another probably 30 minutes go by, they finish and I drive off. I drive home and still hear crunching glass in the rear of my car. I get home and notice there are multiple pieces of broken glass still visible that they hadn't cleaned up from before. All in all a very frustrating experience that they had to cancel my mobile appointment and didn't catch the issue on their end until they were literally driving out to my house. Then, having an appointment that didn't seem to make a difference as there were a ton of walk ins. If I'd known that, I wouldn't have bothered with the appointment and gone somewhere else instead. Then, I pay almost $400 for everything to then still have broken glass in the rear seat of my car after all is said and done. Definitely not very professional, not does it seem like communication, customer service or cleanliness are any other top priorities. I will definitely go somewhere else next time instead. read more

Receptionist Olivia was extremely helpful and kind throughout the whole process. The reason I'm giving this location 2/5 stars is because there was evident damage caused to my car that wasn't there prior to this appointment. I don't know if the technicians are careless, but extremely disappointed with that. Aside from that, when I came into my original appointment, they told me I would have to come in a different day because they didn't have the part to replace my windshield. Why schedule me for an appointment without confirming all this prior? Also, there was just debris that was left in my car and it wasn't cleaned up. I went to Safelite based on previous experience and good service. This recent experience was extremely disappointing, and still isn't rectified. They proceeded to install a new windshield for a Honda CRV. The camera cover did not fit back on. I was informed that a new camera cover would be ordered and I would be contacted for that installation. I was then contacted a few days later stating they wanted me to come back into the shop to see if they could try to fit that cover back on. I proceeded to tell them I'd already spent an hour and a half there for the initial installation and did not have the time from my work schedule to make another trip into their shop. They proceeded to call me and tell me , they would send someone out to attempt this at my home. They called me back a day later to say I had to come in. Then they called me again to say they would be sending a tech. The tech came to my home and attempted to fit on the cover, and it did not work. I am now waiting for them to receive the correct part so that I can hopefully finally have this cover installed on my vehicle and be done with this job. This incident shows a high-level of miscommunication, notes that were not kept in the record online so that others could follow, and it shows a great deal of mismanagement. My windshield has a small chip, they claim it's already been repaired, it has not, apparently I don't know what has been done to my car. I have full coverage for any windshield damage, so why would I have it repaired twice, why not just replace it. It seamed more important to insult me than try and fix my problem. Take your damaged windshield anywhere else--anywhere. Even if your insurance tells you to go here, fight to take it somewhere else--because they totaled my car and they could do the exact same thing to yours. I made an appointment to get my windshield replaced at the Everett branch of Safelite Autoglass after a passing semi sent a rock into it, creating a large crack. It took calling many times to set up a single appointment because their website wasn't working, but eventually, I was driving off with a new pane of glass. As I was merging onto the freeway and headed home from my appointment, my rearview mirror popped off the windshield--I called and set up another appointment to have it fixed. They resolve the issue, letting me know they replaced the windshield again but waved the fee because it was an error on their end. I pay nothing, I leave happy. My seasonal job ends and I come back to my car--I hadn't driven for a week or so--to take my dog to the dog park and find mold everywhere. Turns out, the second replacement was also faulty and had caused irreversible water damage throughout the vehicle. I call Safelite immediately, alerting me to the damage caused by their last replacement and they book me an "emergency warranty appointment." But no one shows up. I make another appointment. And again--no call, no show. I make a third appointment and morning of this third appointment, I call the shop the moment it opens. I explain to the woman who answered the phone that I could not wait any longer for this appointment--it'd been weeks since I reported mold and it was only getting worse. The woman confirms my appointment and gives me a phone number for the technician. She assured me the technician knew about the mold and was coming out to replace the windshield and assess the damage--but something told me that wasn't true. And luckily for this poor Safelite repair guy, I had brand-new PPE (ventilator, goggles, and medical-grade gloves) available for him to use because he had no idea about the conditions he was working in. So not only did Safelite neglect to make note of a serious customer issue and lie about assessing the damage/taking accountability for their error, they also neglected to let their own employee know about hazardous conditions and allowed them to walk into said conditions with no way to protect their health. This company clearly does not care about the well-being of its employees and has a complete disregard for doing the right thing by the customer. By the time this poor technician arrived, the carpets, seatbelts, fabric seats, and personal items in the trunk were all completely saturated in mold--he had to use all of his vehicle's mats just to be able to sit in it properly. After contacting USAA and Safelite (a USAA affiliate) repeatedly about my service issue over the last month and a half (going on two!), I am still without a rental or means to replace my totaled vehicle. Safelite is more than aware of the issue, but my insurance cannot seem to get a hold of the right people because their phone system is severely outdated and doesn't function correctly. My insurance had the vehicle towed off my property and taken to a salvage yard where it was marked as "a complete loss." It's been there for over a month now and Safelite has yet to come out to USAA's lot to conduct a formal damage assessment of the vehicle. Believe me--take your car anywhere else. You might luck out and not have any issues, or you might end up with no car and no way to get a hold of the people who ruined it. I'd take stars away from your rating if I could. read more

My husband scheduled a home appointment, via their app. He entered all necessary information, describing the crack on his windshield, as well. 3 weeks after scheduling the appointment, he received a call from Safelite that he needs to go to the shop in Everett (it's 25 minutes drive for us). Yesterday, on the appointment date, I followed my husband with my car to drive him back home after he dropped his car to the shop. On our way home (5 minutes before we arrive home), the shop called and said that my husband needed to pick up his car because they did not have his windshield. I mean, how unorganized are you when you start with a home scheduled appointment and ends up driving almost 2 hours for NOTHING. What a waste of our time. We decided yo scheduled with Tesla, instead. We will NEVER do business with that unprofessional business again. read more

What a complete piece of crap company this is. Scheduled a replacement for a cracked windshield through my insurance (one of the major ones). Safelite has had this schedule for three weeks. They were told from they beginning that the car was in an autobody shop. They sent NUMEROUS confirmations---emails and texts--to me, including one just three hours before they pulled their crap. Then they call two hours before the appointment to inform me their policy is they will not service cars at body shops. Then they cancel my appointment. Last minute. I've escalated with my insurance carrier, and we will see what happens. But Safelite is garbage. Hideous customer service. Perhaps the glass repair is good. Who knows. But why even deal with a company like this that has no regard for its customers. None. Avoid at all costs. UPDATE: This is how bad they are. My major insurance carrier changed providers for my glass replacement because of this nonsense. I hope they also discontinue doing business with Safelite entirely, but that probably won't happen because I'm sure there's some kind of convenience and financial incentive for both of them in working together - - consumer be damned. read more

Extremely poor service!!!!! I was recommended Safelite by my insurance provider to replace the windshield that cracked. It took three attempts from my part to understand that this place cannot help. They ordered the wrong windshield, cracked the one they got the second time, did not call to cancel or reschedule my appointment. Finally, after trying for THREE months, am out $200 taking Uber to drop off and pick up my car and did not get one apology either. If your insurance provider recommends safelite, I suggest you push back and ask for another recommendation. Avoid this place at all cost. Safelite damaged my car badly when they were supposed to replace the windshield glass. They removed the window trim and after re-installation it scraped against the hood which deeply gouged the paint down to metal. Then they told me it was previous damage. Not only did they chip up the paint on my car, they got black window sealer all over the place. They left glass shards a;;over my hood, side of the fenders, seats and the floor matts. This place doesn't give a crap about customers. Now I have to take them to court to recover the money to repair my car. Safelite will cause you the biggest headache you've ever had if you use them for glass replacement. The worst experience I've had in glass replacement. read more

I had a TERRIBLE experience. I was LITERALLY 3 minutes late to my appointment and the woman at the desk rudely said... "Sorry. You missed the cutoff." and turned to talk to someone behind her. I said, "Really? I'm 3 minutes late. It's raining like crazy and I had to drop my kid off at school. It's THREE MINUTES." Nope. She gave me a look and said "You missed your appointment." Went in to ask for a price quote less than a year ago. The receptionist typed into her computer, looked at another guy who was behind the counter. Then they both looked me in the eye while she said "2300 dollars." I got the impression that they just didn't want my business. I never write reviews... but need to warn the public. In short, the first guy arrived without the right tools (obviously knowing my make and model b/c he had the glass). I then had to reschedule online as there is no live person. Second guy shows up and installs it incorrectly. Wind whistling through the edges and not waterproof. Now it's a "warranty" issue.?! Third guy shows up without correct tools and can't fix it. He says I have to now drive it to the shop. Each of these "at home" appointments make me wait for a 4 hour window (pun unintended)... That's 12 hours so far and I'm back to square one... Actually worse b/c if it rains I can't drive the car! USE ANOTHER COMPANY! These guys have a great idea and ad by saying they'll come to you... not worth it! It's been over a month since I first called to get it replaced! First time I brought my car in and drop it off for windshield replacement I got a call 30 min later to come pick up my car because they needed to order a part for the windshield. Made another appointment to come in when that part came in for my windshield replacement and to be told that it was not the correct part! The scheduling system made things seem seamless, but it doesn't account for a technician not showing to their appointment. I was victim of a "no show" and called Safelite the next day. I was informed that there wasn't any information on the no show and I will need to wait a couple additional weeks before they can help me. In addition, they won't be able to make it to my house, and will need to bring the vehicle into their shop, unless I want to wait longer. I decided to go through the dealership as the price of the window and installation is the same price. At least with the dealership, they are accountable for their work. This was a terrible experience and terrible customer service. I will never use Safelite in the future. read more
