The SafeLite auto glass team located on 1301 Carrier Dr.,Charlotte NC was professional, highly experienced and QUICK. CORY C. was excellent in customer service and proficiency. The customer service representative was courteous and accommodating with total respect. The waiting room was CLEAN. Their service exceeded beyond my expectations. KimW

Extraordinarily poor experience. The technician left debris all over my dashboard, and when I began driving down the road, noticed a whistling sound like a window was open. When I arrived home, I noticed I could also hear my engine idling, the sound specifically coming from the bottom corner of the windshield(no it was not like this when I dropped it off). I looked under the hood, and sure enough there is a gap in the window seal letting in the engine sound and causing the wind noise. I call in the next day to get this addressed, and there is nothing available for a week. I also have to take time out of my day to come back to have the issue fixed...no offer to come to me at all. Truly disappointing that their mistake causes me an inconvenience and potentially several hours without my car, and no offer of any sort of compensation for my time. If you come here, make sure you road test your car before they close so you can get any issues addressed right away.

Customer beware! I had a small crack in the windshield from a rock hitting it during driving a few weeks back. I should've just left it as it was no bigger than a pinky finger and wasn't spreading. Well.... I found out that my insurance covers a window repair if it's a crack smaller than a dollar bill and it was. So I set up the appointment for June 16 via my insurance and they partner with Safelite. Now, I should've just left it as it was as it wasn't getting worse and I was forewarned by a coworker that told me to just go to Glass Doctor as they're the best and Safelite is not great. I didn't listen because well my insurance contracts with Safelite and it wasn't costing me anything. This was the worst thing I could've done. June 16 was mid heat warning we have been having but I'm not tech so I didn't know how heat factored in. The tech whom I shall call "T" arrived. I went out to meet him. Safelite is good here: they have you sign a form because they know they're about to tear your stuff up. Form basically saying if we mess it up more, we aren't liable. T asks me to turn my air on to cool down the window. So, I go in and turn it on. Lord, why did I turn around and he just start working on it immediately and now the windshield is mysteriously cracking more!! And T is like "awh man. Look it just crack more and all I did was put a fan on it." Then, he just starts packing up and then refers me to some shop on south tryon or south blvd (I'm new here). Let's also keep in mind that T did NOT refer me to the company in which he was representing when he just cracked my windshield. So, instead of screaming bloody murder I just said bye and walked away because it's too hot outside to be upset and I can just called the company for support right? WRONG! I got in the house and called safelite immediately (you get a generic like call line). I told the woman the issue with the tech and what not. She called the direct shop he works for which is Located at 1301 carrier drive, ste A, Charlotte, NC. I asked for the information to have just for myself. She then came back to the line to say well a new window is $479 for your Prius. I said excuse me?! So not only did someone come and not damage my windshield, but now you want to charge me a ridiculous price for a 2012 Toyota Prius C. Not today. So I asked for a manager and she said she sent them an email to call me within 24 hours. Well folks, today is June 19 and the incident occurred June 16. I have not gotten a call from any manager or anyone representing safelite since this matter took place. And I explained to her that this is insane on many levels. So not only does the tech not wait for any cool down after asking me to turn the air on, but you just break my stuff and then refer me to a shop of people you know. So I feel this was intentional. You are the tech. You know what degree a car window should and should not be prepared in. If you needed it to be cooled down for work, you guys call us 20 minutes prior to arrival, I could've had the window as cool as you wanted. But no you wait until arriving and then don't let it cool down. Then you just had a referral for ANOTHER COMPANY already waiting... that sounds very sketchy to me as a customer. If you're good at your job and your shops great, why wouldn't you recommend me where you work?? This Tech came to my vehicle and caused damage all within 7 minutes. He wasn't even there long. And 7 minutes is a stretch. Half was him rambling before starting work. I am livid and the customer service is extremely poor. If you receive notice to phone back a customer who is not happy with service, do that! It's YOUR job as the manager. And if you're sending a tech, it is YOUR job as the manager to make sure they're trained and doing jobs they know how to do. Poor customer service. I just cant get over that. It's a shame. Clearly this happens to others from reviews I've read after the fact. Again, BEWARE!

I had an extremely pleasant experience at this place. I scheduled an appointment through my insurance and they were very welcoming and helpful. They were very clear with me on that l what to expect, which I appreciated. They tried to fix the two cracks that occurred when a rock hit my windshield, but the crack simply spread. They told me there was a strong possibility it might happen, which I greatly appreciated. The time estimates they gave me were spot on. It was 2 hours for the full window replacement. 1 hour to do the fix and one more hour for it to safely cure. I did work the entire time in their nice and clean lobby with free WiFi. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience given the situation. I would definitely recommend them to a friend. :)

Chip in window now like new. Cost less than $200. It took about 2.5 hours. Receptionist was friendly and caring.

The quote was about $300 cheaper that Safelite. I was able to get an appt within a couple of days. I arrived for my appt and was greeted warmly by Nate. He made me comfortable during my stay. The waiting area is very nice and conducive work plugging up my laptop at their workstation. I had about a 3 hour wait time, so this was very handy. Free wifi access with good stable internet. I was able to remain efficient while working. I was able to listen to Nate handle calls over the phone while I was waiting. So kind and professional. He listened patiently and answered questions with care. He's the right person to have at the front desk for sure. He talked to me about my window repair and assured me that they service Tesla's frequently, which gave me instant confidence. I'd highly recommend this location. You'll be in good hands. My car isn't finished yet but I have zero worries. Updated review: As I'm sitting there, the manager comes out. I verified that he was the manager and asked Nate if I could speak to him. Of course, he had no idea why I wanted the manager. Brent, the manager comes out and he sits down to talk with me like we're two friends in a coffee shop. He further solidified my experience there as he was also very personable. He already has an appreciation for Nate and that was very evident in our discussion. My car is finished about 45 minutes ahead of schedule, which is also great!!! As I'm paying to leave, the owner comes out, who is also very nice (it must fun be a common thread at that place). I also tell him about how great my experience was. I can't say enough about this place. My car looks good as new and I'm very pleased. Did I mention they were cheaper than competitors??? I hope that I never have to come back for a window repair but if I do, I know I'm in good hands.

However, they were the only business that would email me back instead of calling due to my mother being in the hospital during this circumstance. Zuzu showcased exemplary customer assistance by throughly explaining when emailing back about the quote offered for my glass clearly in detail. He made sure I knew how they would care for my car and responded quickly to fit me in for an appointment that next day. When I arrived I came in the wrong door but they kindly walked me to the lobby and moved my car for me anyway. My two children came with me. They accommodated us with water and coffee. The kids played with the games in the lobby while Auto Glass updated me as we waited. It was such a good interruption from the stress of their grandma being sick. It has been 2 weeks now and my glass looks great. No leaks. I'm so glad I found Auto Glass!! I will easily always make the drive out to them and will pass on their name to everyone I know!! Genuine people and a honest affordable quote. Thank you all for your help!!!

I recently had my glass replaced on a Friday for 358 which was a reasonable price due to a hairline…read morecrack in my windshield. The service was good, but I had another unfortunate event where a rock hit my windshield from a dump truck speeding in various lanes so I took it back to same location to have them look at it and see if they could repair it but they stated they would have to replace the entire windshield for 313 and that they could only give me a 75 dollar discount. I did ask to speak with management which the clerk stated should be in around 2:45 and would give me a follow up call which he failed to due and then another employee stated he will be out for the week. I thought they would repair the windshield since I was recently there which they did not and stated their machine could not fix the small crack near my windshield wiper on passenger side before it spread. Instead, I was quoted for another price and still no management followed up like they said. Therefore, I was not pleased with management not getting back to me like they said they would and had to take it somewhere that actually able to repair it so it would not spread which only cost 65 bucks to fix!

I had a windshield that needing replacement and clips for loose molding, a job they were willing to schedule within 4 hours of my calling; I was not only met by prompt and courteous customer service in the office, but quality mechanics who thoroughly explained every step and concern along the way. Unfortunately, my first windshield had been delivered chipped; not only did they immediately inform me and send for a replacement to be delivered within 10 minutes, but they apologized for the inconvenience and offered an extremely generous discount. Although I chose to meet them on site, they have an expansive team that will come out to you, delivering these same high quality standards at your convenience. There is also an on premise mechanic to help with oil changes and maintenance. All in all I am floored by the quality of workmanship and service I received, proving you can't judge a book by its cover... or a business by its curb appeal.

It was raining and dangerous and yet they pulled up behind me and my truck to check up on my daughter and I who had just hydroplaned and careened from one barrier to the next. They were so caring and concerned about our safety as the conditions were bad and they didn't want another car to hit us as we sat on the side of the road. They stood in pouring rain until they saw I was safely on the side waiting for the sheriff. They went beyond the norm and I just wanted to give a big shout out and thank you to them for coming to my rescue. And before you think they stopped because of my possibility of needing glass repair- you'd be wrong. That was probably the only thing not messed up- haha. So they stopped because that's the kind of guys they are. I'll be calling them though and recommending them to everyone I know who need glass repairs in the future. Thank you Mac!
