I wish there were negative numbers! A rock, I'm assuming cracked the drivers side window in my explorer last week. A technican came out Thursday to fix it. In the process, he broke something because the drivers window won't work now(it was fine before). He called his manager who said they would take care of it and could I come to their office. I sat there for 1 1/2 hours, my car did not move, to be told by Gabriel, the assistant manager, that they couldn't fir me in but it "sounded" like they regulator was broken and would have to be ordered. It'd take a couple of days. Called Saturday, the lady in the front office said he couldn't get it from the original place and would have to find somewhere else. Ok. I called each day this week and sent 2 emails. No response. Got a quote from my mechanic. Spoke to the office person on Wednesday, Gabriel wasn't there but I could call back Thursday. No answer. Called customer service who sent an email to several people. Still no response. My window doesn't work. It's not sealed and has tape holding the top of it on. What happens when it rains? My happy self will be going up to their office in the morning. Not only will the fix my dang door I think I need a refund on crappy work with a still not working window!!!!!!! The warranty is total BS. They tell you simply visit www.mysafelite.com, but that address is bogus and doesn't exist. When you call the customer care, it asks for the phone number associated with the original repair, then tells you they "cannot take your call right now". I've tried several times over the course of several days always getting the same result. I assume they try to make it as absolutely aggravating as possible so you will eventually give up. Not only did they charge my card $400 at the time I made my appointment online, they called me 2 days later doubling the price. Huge waste of time, you're better off going to the dealership. Soooo today, I had to go to Safelite in Buford and, as always, I arrived early. Waited about 10 mins and was guided in by my window installer. Went inside, watched some TV, an hour and a half go by, my phone text said the tech was done and would be right out. Tech comes in to get me and starts talking then said " I had an accident. I want to be honest with you. My foot slipped and I broke the dashboard. I've already told my manager as well. My question is WHAT IS YOUR FOOT DOING ON THE DASHBOARD OF MY TRUCK? I'M TRYING TO PICTURE IT. I CANNOT! Paid my bill and told the manager to be ready for the quote to replace my dash. Every time I go there, I get my trucks damaged. Did you know it takes up to three hours or more to replace a modern windshield? Now that you know that, why is the lobby filled with uncomfortable chairs, no table, and besides the typical bottle of water and coffee, nothing about this place is comfortable or has any utility. A little more effort would be appreciated by waiting customers, especially those that have work to do / could be working while they wait. I can pound out a lot of work in three hours if it was workable at all. You expect them to be experts at replacing windshields, and my job was fine- but it doesn't seem like this place excels at a lot given some other reviews. read more

After a rock cracked my windshield I booked my appointment online for three days later. They handled my claim with the insurance company, leaving me with only my deductible. Due to the semi-autonomous and safety camera system in the car, I had to bring it to them so the camera system could be recalibrated to the optical properties of the new windshield. Dropped the car off at 8am and it was ready the same day. Staff was friendly and efficient. I hope I never need a windshield replaced again, but if I do I'll bring it back here. read more

I was going to pay out of pocket because I have a $500 deductible, but they said that there would be a discount if I used my insurance company, which is USAA. The final bill was $853, which is double the price of other estimates I have obtained since. Never again! read more

They replaced our driver's side glass. The first time we rolled it down, it fell out. We tried to reach someone to fix their mistake for a day and a half. Ultimately, we had to reschedule online for the following day. In the meantime, no window. Finally they arrived. But they denied it was their. fault and refused to apply the warranty. read more

I took my car in for a windshield repair - had a chip about 4 mm in diameter. They did say it was possible the chip would spread after the repair but they would give me a credit for the repair fee for a replacement windshield. The "repair" took less that 15 minutes. It has spread now about 1.5 feet. I would NEVER take my vehicle to Safelite. They draw you in with the promise of a credit if the repair doesn't work so you will spend more money for a replacement. What a scam! I feel sure had I not had it "repaired" it would not have spread. I'll get a replacement now, but this time from a reputable business. I was told shop manager would call to set new appointment to get mirror attached NO CALL. after repeated calls finally got a new appointment. Repar person showed up with NO glue. I have been working with the Buford facility on a window replacement for over a month, everytime a commitment is made by their staff it's not kept. The only nice and professional staff they have are the receptionist who pretty much route you to the appropriate parties. I had an appointment to which they ordered for over three weeks a part that arrived and was wrong, no one called until I got there after taking time off from work just to hear that they ordered the wrong part. It's been over a week and multiple call and yet never heard back from the manager who promised follow up 8 days ago. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM. THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTIES. My windshield cracked after three years due to unseen cold weather in GA and they tried to claim it was from an impact. I had one of their technicians come out and inspect it. He said there was no impacts where my windshield was broke. Then his boss the manager, not the technician, who wasn't even there, said that I had to bring my vehicle into the physical shop 4 days later so he could look at it. My vehicle sat the entire 4 days and the crack expanded again due to the extreme cold. The manager inspected it, used some kind of sharp instrument inside to try and get in the cracks then tried to claim it was from impact. Uhm No Sir. My car was parked the entire time. Literally tried to show him images of my odometer and windshield from day 1 all the way to current to prove what I was saying and he was disinterested. Cussed everyone out in that office and called their corporate number as soon as I left. Emailed them all my images and am waiting to see how they will respond. So pissed! Why have a warranty if you aren't going to honor it!? There was zero impact on my windshield to have caused the initial crack you can literally tell in my images and it spread due to the temperature extremes. read more

I had a repair done on my car that was not done properly for almost $300 by a mobile Safelight tech. When I went to the Buford, Ga Safelight location where I live by I was told that the repair was unacceptable and the worst that he'd seen by a tech that worked there at that location. The tech and the lady at the front desk told me to get ahold on the manager to get this resolved. I have called at least 6 times. I get the answer from the front desk not here, on the phone, etc and yes I have left messages for a call back. Then it got to the point to where they wouldn't answer the phone anymore. I called Safelight corporate multiple times also asking for a district manager. Left my contact info and nothing from anyone. Totally ghosted. Now I'm told the windshield cannot fixed due to the bad repair previously. a replacement will cost me almost 2k. All I can say is go somewhere else!!!! I did not actually go to Safelite b/c when I called to set an appointment the lady on the phone was very nice. She knew her script!! Quoted me almost $300 for replacement, then conveniently found a discount for $50 off to force me to confirm an apt within a week. I did, but then she continued with her script that wipers must be replaced for another $25 & a good idea to get basically RainX on the glass for another $35. WHAT?! She then said that if I didn't want their wipers I could bring my own, but new blades are required. Oh, and she said 2 hr install. After I hung up I called another company who said no apt needed & about 1 hr for install, and $133 cheaper, no new blades required & she didn't have a script to upsell anything! Guess who I am going with!!! I am sure Safelite is a great company with a great product, but if If I have any issues with this other company & their product they will know about it - worth it to save a little, I think. Do not trust them even for a small chip. A small rock hit my windshield and I went through my insurance to get a REPAIR for FREE through my insurance. So I make an appointment, I come in and give them my keys and sit and wait. They ask me to sign the document to sign in at the front. I'm not sure why I didn't read it so that is my fault but first of all remember I said it was a repair? So they repaired it but in the process made it worse. They come inside to get me and the manager tells me that while the guy was repairing it he accidentally made it worse and the crack went from a nickel size to like 2 inches or more. Also, before he says anything he's like "BY THE WAY FIRST OFF YOU SIGNED THE WAIVER--" before even telling me what happened like okay dude. So he's like it's okay though it should last don't worry and I'm like okay. I go inside the area to the receptionist and wait and she's like no you need to get it replaced like okay that is inconsistent and as I customer I should trust you guys to tell me the right thing and SAFEST thing for me to do. At this point she says I'll cancel your appt like it didn't happen and schedule you to get a REPLACEMENT. I'm like okay is it free or what and she's like "your deductible is 500 and the cost is 500, so you're good." That literally makes no sense ... they suck and do not claim responsibility at ALL. I went to Buford safelite and had my windshield replaced as it had a bad crack. Repair was done fine (as expected). A week later a part from rear view mirror fell off so I went back to see if it could be put back into position. When they removed the original it was discarded and left off, they said they will order a new one. After a month a so called Manager and addressed me and suggested I order the part (supply chain was excuse and would reimburse me as I would pay out of pocked. I bring the invoices in for the 2 pieces as they still had the piece that fell off. I presented those to Savannah Jones the customer advocate she stated it needs to be sent to corporate for reimbursement this is December of 2022 it is mow MAY 2023. Weak company ideals but the commercials ar good. read more

I sat there for 2 hours (and 15 minutes) before they even looked at my car only to be told that they ordered the wrong windshield, and I will have to return again. I was told that the only appointment available is for Friday at 2pm. Of course they are going to give me the pleasure of wasting 2 to 3 more hours of my time on a Friday this time. $280 For a damaged windshield and seal not on... only had this replaced 2 months ago. Now I have to inconvenience myself to have them come out and replace it. This is the worse place 2 get your window fixed. I made a appt sat for Monday at 4 pm then went to get my window crash wrapped on sat & when I go to drive off the razor blade they used fell from being taped to the top of the window almost falling on me. Then when I take it inside 1 of the associates ask where I get it from so I him then another associate says on he tried 2 cut you. So my husband takes it to the appt Monday (mind u they close at 5) I was told $186 when he gets there they say $450 bc the motor was broken & wouldn't go up & down. It does work the window was locked. So then they crash wrap it again & it blew off right after pulling out of the Buford highway parking lot. AND THEY DO NOT REMOVE ALL THE GLASS. 1st & last time I will try to use safelite. The mobile window repair ppl are way better & cheaper. read more

I was surprised at how quickly I got an appointment. I called on a Thursday and was able to bring in my truck for repair the very next day. My appointment was at 10:30 I arrived around 1025 they immediately brought my truck back, and I was walking out the door at 11:05. I really appreciated how kind the staff was. How clean they kept the environment. And how they made sure everybody wore masks during the time I was waiting in the waiting room. read more

TL;DR: They never called me when they finished the job and they closed the store before I could get there. They do not care. To be honest, I can't say about the quality of work they do. I just got my car back from them today so only time will tell I guess. However, to sum up in one phrase: they don't care. I dropped off my car yesterday afternoon at 2 to have the windshield replaced and was told the job would take 2-3 hours. Cool, no problem. I left it there because I had work to do and they said they would call me when it was done. I even opted in to get text messages about the updates. During the time, I didn't get any text updates besides when they started the service which was odd but I don't know if it's on the store's end or if their system just didn't work. Regardless, 5pm rolls around (keep in mind: with no call or email whatsoever) and I think "huh they should probably be done by now" so I head back to find that the store CLOSED. Doors locked, no one inside, etc. My car is just sitting right next to the front door but no one is in the building. I called customer service and they said they tried calling anyone at the store including a district manager and no one picked up. So basically I had to come back the next day in the morning to pick it up. How did NO ONE see my car just sitting there (not even in an actual parking spot mind you) and think, "maybe someone should call this dude and let him know to get it". HOW? My only conclusion was that no one cared and they just wanted to go home ASAP. Oh and also the customer service person I talked to said "they have a habit of not calling the customer when it's done". Like... I don't even know what to say to that. Again, credit where credit is due; it looks like they did a good job with the actual replacement but again only time will tell. Bottom line: they don't care about the consumer and they just want to go home at 5. If we had a way of calling the store directly, that would be nice too :). I rarely get this upset but it just shows no one from management cares (Anyone from this store, feel free to email me and let me know how you will change this behavior). Because this kind of anti-consumer behavior is just unreal. Btw, the next day I got a call from the manager but I couldn't answer at the time since I was busy. Made 6 trips to Buford Safelite, 2 windshields replaced, and wind noise still very loud. Management ran me around by telling parts were in only to find out when I arrive for my appointment, parts were not there. Tried to leave review on Safelite's website, but apparently if you leave a poor post, it doesn't save. I've had a good experience with Safelite in the past but it was not with the Buford store. Avoid headaches and runarounds and visit another store. read more
