I told him " it happens". He tells me he will overnight it and will call me when it is here. I waited five days and called him back as I had not heard from them. I was then told may not be able to get it , but will call me back when ready. Its been two plus weeks and still no word from them. I called Torres Auto Glass three days later he is at my job putting the glass in at a cheaper price. Thanks Torres Auto Glass. P.S. With one employee walking around the garage with a lit cigarette I felt so uncomfortable as if there isn't enough gas and oil to light the whole place up. They took two days to "look" at my car and then had parts pulled apart on my car when they couldn't answer what they were fixing on the car. Their was no ropes closing off the oil pit and I've never gotten a worse response to asking for one of my possessions back (aka my car!) and when I asked they said "sure have this shit." If you are overwhelmed with workload I understand I was just looking for communication on how long they'd hold onto my car, what they were fixing, and what the diagnostic was. They don't like working on newer cars because of turbos so you're better off elsewhere. But if you're into potential fires this place will suit your needs.

Which upset me and after the guy told me he was the one I talked to and I asked him why he didn't tell me they didn't open till 10am. He proceeded to cuss at me and we exchanged choice words. So I googled other tint places in Abilene and found Tint world. Drove up to their store and asked about prices and availability for that day. I also explained to the lady what had just happened. So they worked my son's truck in so I could have it done the day I promised my son it would be done. Also had very good pricing and did a fantastic job. No discussion of what was done, what was checked, or what could be wrong with my car. I called and asked what was done, he asked what the name was under, put me on hold, then came back and said, "ma'am that vehicle was picked up".. I said I know, we just got home with it and I would like to know what was done and what's wrong with it. He said they didn't find anything.. if nothing is wrong, then why does my car have 1) a rough start 2) vibrates in idle and reverse 3) it shakes and acts like it wants to die 4) it died on my husband in PARK in the DRIVEWAY this morning. He said nothing was said to them about any of that. So I asked what they do in a diagnostics check. He said it depends on. I asked on what? "Ma'am it depends on the vehicle". I asked if was hooked up to machine or scanner or what's done... music started playing. He put me on HOLD. Without telling me. I waited SEVERAL minutes without anyone picking the phone back up, so I hung up and called back. I said that was "NOT COOL!" You put me on hold without saying a word and you didn't even come back. "Ma'am, I have 5 people here waiting. I'll call you back when I have time".. I said no.. that's rude! He was talking to me first and I want to know what's wrong with my car because nothing was said when my husband showed up. He was handed the keys and told to have a good day! He said plenty was said. So I asked l... again... what diagnostic was ran, was anything found because I need my car fixed. He said nothing was found that he told my husband he can try to change out the motor mounts (we ordered them the other day with transmission mounts also and they came in today), so something must've been said for him to tell my husband to try what he already had intentions of doing. I asked how a diagnostic can be ran and nothing show, when my car obviously SHOWS signs. They should've noticed when they drove my car to move it. "Ma'am, I'm hanging up. Don't call here again and don't bring your vehicle here anymore, we won't work on it".. I asked his name.. "My name is Shawn and I'm the owner and I'm telling you not to come back here again." I asked "WHY?!" I just wanted to know what was done. We took it for a diagnostics. "And we didn't charge you for that ma'am. Don't call back. Don't bring your vehicle back." .. And here I am. Writing a review to let EVERYONE know how rude and unprofessional "Shawn" and Gary's Automotive is! If there was a choice of "0" stars, I would've picked that, but I had to pick the "1" star. We have taken our vehicles there before with no problem, but not anymore. Not after today. VERY RUDE!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! ("Shawn Grisham" is the owner of "Gary's"). Go somewhere else. They will remain nameless. It is not my nature to slam a business. Personally, it shook my confidence and trust, though. Fast forward. Had to buy four new tires after the discovery of the "false care" from them. My son recommended Tom's Tire Pros, so I bought them there. I had to charge them so had all of the road hazard insurance added. Then, I called and had the wheels aligned there and decided to go there for my oil change. The alignment and the oil change cost less than I had paid at other places in the past. The topper came this week, though. I had been hearing a loud squeak in the springs or frame or whatever??? I took it up to them to ask if someone could drive it around slowly and listen to it to see if it could be fixed or what it would cost. One of the shop guys did just that and came in and was telling the service writer what he did. I walked up and asked him to tell me. He said it was the stabilizer that was squeaking and something about struts?? I'm a girly girl so understood some of it, but bottom line, I could replace something or other, but it would be fine without it. He greased the squeaking really well, with it on the lift rack and it was gone. There would still be a popping in the something?? I never heard that to begin with, and haven't still.? So, I asked the mechanic if he would replace the part and he said no. I said okay, I'm not. The replaced thing was $600. I went to pay, and they both said " No Charge "!! I tried to tell them thank you but could hardly get the words out with out crying I told them how much it means to me to be able to trust a business like theirs again!!!
