I put in a request through my insurance provider, Progressive, to come tow my car to an auto repair shop because my cars engine will not turn, and I waited almost three hours for the tow truck when it said it would be there within the hour. Progressive got in touch and turns out they were never even on the way to my location those whole three hours. I understand if staffing or how busy your guys are might be an issue, but maybe call your fucking customer and let them know they would be sitting outside away from their car for almost three hours. read more

I have AAA and have been trying to get their contracted towing company, O'bar, to arrive at a shop during business hours for 3 days. Most recently this towing company attempted to tow my vehicle, after I had canceled it since it was past 5PM, without me being present. They then interjected themselves between myself, as the AAA customer, and the automotive shop as some sort of middleman sending me voicemails and canceling the tow because of a balance due, which would be paid obviously when I got to the shop and was ready to have the vehicle towed. I tried speaking with someone at O'bar who was rude and hung up on me forcing me to contact AAA, again. I spoke with a supervisor there who contacted O'bar to inform them of AAA policies and procedures, and they were supposed to resume the scheduled tow. I checked my AAA App, which said they would be there on time, arrived at the shop, and without notice O'bar didn't show up. I checked my App again and it was rescheduled, for the 11th time over 3 days, to two hours later. Very unreliable, unprofessional, and difficult to contact with wait times for their dispatch exceeding 20 minutes. read more

The fact that I am taking time to write a review for a wrecker service really says it all. Usually you get your car towed, when the need arises, and you forget about it. In the last couple of years, I've required the services of these guys more than a few times. The first time was luck of the draw. I just went the wrecker service the police called. However, I was impressed with the service I received. I don't know if this is common with all services, but I was towed in from the freeway and couldn't get my wife on the phone. My car, with only 60k miles on it, had thrown a rod while driving. The guy was super nice and gave me a ride back to my house! Turns out O'Bar was also the service my insurance used for roadside assistance. They came to my rescue several more times for reasons like running out of gas, leaving my lights on and a flat tire. Every time, they were prompt and very friendly. When a guy ran a stop sign and totaled my Honda Pilot, the police officer asked me if I had a preference about towing companies, I spoke up. I even called O'Bars, myself. Even the dispatcher was friendly and helpful. As long as I love in Abilene, I won't call anyone else. If all these example weren't enough, the other guy's insurance called me a few days latter. O'Bars wouldn't release my car until I OKed it. I'm so glad they did. I guess it depends on which end of the call you are on. My experiences with O'bar wrecking were not so pleasant. When they towed my car it damaged my vehicle because it was towed by the tie rods. After discussion they did end up taking care of the repair, but that was a shady experience too. I wish I could say this was the only bad experience I've had, but it wasn't. read more

The lady processing my credit card payment charged my card Twice for the agreed amount, I have called 6 times for reimbursement, I am always told we just refunded it to your card it will show up in 7-10 business days, now 6 months later I still have not been reimbursed.
