When I first entered it was a 4 employees up at front all chain smoking with four Birds inside this tiny space. With one employee walking around the garage with a lit cigarette I felt so uncomfortable as if there isn't enough gas and oil to light the whole place up. They took two days to "look" at my car and then had parts pulled apart on my car when they couldn't answer what they were fixing on the car. Their was no ropes closing off the oil pit and I've never gotten a worse response to asking for one of my possessions back (aka my car!) and when I asked they said "sure have this shit." If you are overwhelmed with workload I understand I was just looking for communication on how long they'd hold onto my car, what they were fixing, and what the diagnostic was. They don't like working on newer cars because of turbos so you're better off elsewhere. But if you're into potential fires this place will suit your needs. read more

Took my car in for a checkup. $90 later all of the issues I mentioned when dropping it off are worse. Car runs 10X worse. STAY AWAY

Warning!!! DO NOT GO THERE!!! I took my GMC to have the A/C & a power steering fluid leak checked. I was told it needed freon & a power steering hose. They put dye in it, but didn't find the leak & put freon in it. It was blowing hot one month later & I wound up taking it to them a total of 4 times!!! They replaced the A/C compressor twice & finally the refrigerant suction hose. It took 2 times for them to repair the power steering fluid leak!!! I still had pink fluid leaking which was coolant & they said I had a water pump that was leaking. It took 4 attempts before they repaired it!!! They replaced big ticket items such as A/C compressor, hydro-boost, & water pump vs refrigerant suction hose, power steering hose or seal thermostat bypass. I learned the only thing they warranty are those specific parts, so I had to pay labor, etc. & about 18 out of town trips to their shop!!! I spent almost $7,000 & still not sure if it is repaired or not!!! Only time will tell. I commend Robert for giving me a discount in the end, but it took an act of God to get it. I feel completely scammed!!! YOU be the judge. Do you want to go through all of these problems & expense??? 07/08/24 update -5th ATTEMPT to repair coolant leak As I was driving up hill leaving Brownwood, TX & barely topped the hill, the GMC alarm went off & I had to pull over on the shoulder & my vehicle shut down completely. Coolant was leaking from near the front passenger tire the hood where the coolant reservoir is located. I had to pay $150 to have it towed to Bruner GMC & they tell me it was the coolant reservoir with sensor leaking!!! Now I have to pay $707.80 more because Pittman's Garage NEVER REPAIRED the coolant leak!!! Robert refused to warranty their work because they never touched the coolant reservoir which is accurate since they NEVER REPAIRED the problem in the first place!!! DO NOT GO THERE!!! read more

I was at Abilene State Park and a window regulator went bad on my Tahoe on Sunday night. Since we are 3 hours from home I ran to the parts store to replace it. After getting the new one on I could not get it to operate. Seems like an electrical issue. I googled "Auto Electric" and then checked Yelp. Perfect reviews so I called to see if they could work me in. They were busy but a Tech took it right back to diagnose the issue. The folks in the office were friendly and even let us bring our small dog into the warm waiting area. She behaved and stayed in my wife's lap. Everything inside was clean and nice. An hour later and a paltry $75 we were finished and everything was working perfectly. They could have charged 2X or 3X more and I'd have left feeling OK. I am very pleased and highly recommend! read more

I have had the transmission fluid replaced, rear axle differential fluids replaced, serpentine belt replaced, and the radiator flushed all on the same day. Turned in the truck in the morning and got it back in the afternoon. They are good people and will recommend to anyone that has car trouble. read more

They looked my car over, it only needed an oil change and an inspection. The price was very reasonable. I've taken my Subaru to Pittman's before to have my A/C fixed when I thought I needed a new compressor. They talked me through what what happening which helped them diagnose a leak which they found and patched. Just recently, my catalytic converter went out and Pittman's fixed it quickly and for a fair price. The cat ended up being a bad part and they took care of me, no questions asked, to make sure the problem was solved. My Subaru is running great. They stand by their work and are absolute professionals. Great work, fair prices, and honest. They talk to you and explain the issues with your car regardless of your knowledge level. Wouldn't recommend any other mechanic other than Pittman's in Abilene. read more
