I initially thought I was really pleased but after closer inspection I started finding multiple issues with my windshield replacement. There are multiple places on my vehicle where significant damage was done. On one spot they made a large deep gouge in the frame around the windshield and made a sloppy attempt in red paint to cover the damage getting red paint everywhere. Then they placed tape over it so I wouldn't find it until the next day. There are scratches all over in the clear coat and more damage and gouges inside the vehicle. What makes me the most disappointed is they could have told me about the damage and not try to hide it. read more

I talked to Jeff at abilene auto glass and he gave me a price to replace the windshield trim on my car. They did just that and when I picked it up the price was $50.00 higher than I was told. They didn't do anything extra. They just ripped me off for $50.00 bucks. Not happy with theives!! read more

Visiting Abilene on a short stop to visit our Grandson and family, my son-in-law's Passenger side rear window went halfway down and would not go back up. Seeing how we were leaving Abilene to Wichita Falls the next day, we couldn't afford to leave it down overnight. Fortunately we found Abilene Auto Glass online and saw we were only 10 minutes from there. After calling a couple of other shops prior and not going anywhere with them, we decided to drive over to see if they could help pull the window back up. My son-in-law talked to a couple of technicians, they quickly reviewed and decided that they would need to take the door panel off to move the window up without replacing the mechanism. Less than 20 minutes later, they moved the window up and we were able to get on our plans for the day for much less $$$ than we could have hoped!! Abilene auto glass had my windshield chip repaired in about 30 minutes! I was surprised to be able to get it done so fast and at such a good rate so everything worked out! The gentleman that actually did the work was really nice and laid back as well. The only thing I'm wondering is, on a windshield repair, does it usually show? The peace of mind is there knowing that it won't spiderweb down my windshield but I can still see it so it's more just wondering if that's how they all are or not, ya know? All in all, no complaints at all and really wanted to let Abilene and whoever comes through, that if they are trying to avoid their glass chips worsening, drive by and have them fix you up. I brought in my 18 year old truck with a very weird problem leaking around the brake light at the top of the rear window. Rather than use high-pressure tactics to get me to spend a large amount of money repairing something that wasn't really broken they figured out an excellent approach to sealing up the window and it looks brand new, doesn't leak, and functions perfectly! Everyone I worked with was very professional, very friendly, and I got out with a great low cost solution. I have also used them to repair a crack from a rock and had the same positive experience. Had a great experience here when my windshield busted from the freak hail storm that happened in Abilene. Ok, I've used these guys multiple times over the years and this is the first time I've written a review. They've done stone bruises (rock pits-chips) and replaced windshields. I've never made an appointment, and they have always had the glass in stock. While I've never put a stop watch on the work, it always seems to be a reasonable amount of time considering they work they are doing. The reason I keep coming back is that they have always done good work at a fair price. I'm writing this review because I was looking up their phone number so I could get a windshield in a '10 Santa Fe replaced, and the windshield in my '05 Suburban repaired where there is a small chip that I don't want to get larger. read more

We chose(my company use their service for fleet) this business to replace our windshield and when I picked it up the brace on one side was not in correct and started to raise up when driving, I took it back the next day for them to apply more glue to hold, this was my first red flag. A week later, while driving in the rain the windshield wipers when turned on made a loud sound as if they were loose or broken. I called and was told to bring it back and after a tech looked at it, he stated that the windshield bracket was broke and it was broken before they replace the windshield(he took a picture for proof) and they made this note on our keys with a key tag. This is something that I would have seen, nope---2nd red flag. 1. If it was broken, why would you not tell the customer when the job is complete. 2. How do I know that the picture was not taken after, it was broken? When asked, the tech could not answer. Although I was told that this is seen a lot with the Make & Model of our vehicle. 3. When I asked for them to show me this part so that I could compare with the picture, it took them 13 minutes with much effort to ale things back apart as 2 different tech tugged, pushed, pressed to try and get it a loose. In which that was pretty much proof that this was broken BEFORE they replaced our windshield. I asked for the manager to call me about this situation 9/10/2020, as of 9/16/2020 no call yet. read more

I had been having a bad day with customer service all day and then the trim around the window I had just had replaced came loose, I was already thinking great I have to deal with more people. I was greated by a super friendly rep, dropped my vehicle off and picked it up about an hour later. They fixed everything perfect, cleaned up the windshield, and even vacumed the interior. Pretty dissatisfied with this company. I dropped my car off a few hours early. I had been told on the phone a couple of days before that they could probably provide me a ride to or from work. They told me that they didn't have anyone to give me a ride back once I was there. Later they called me and said the moulding on my four year old BMW has cracked and that they wouldn't be able to put on a new windshield today Bc they didn't have the moulding needed. The guy said that if I wanted to wait until 5 he might be able to give me a ride to get my unrepaired car. I understand that things happen. What really topped it off was that when I finally found a ride up there my car was parked out on the side street and the doors were both unlocked. I wasn't as upset with the changed story on the ride or not fixing the car, what really got me is that they would park it somewhere that I never would have and then they left it unlocked. Luckily I had locked up my valuables. If you do decide to use this company I suggest having a ride Bc they probably won't give you one even if they say they will. My friend said they did the same thing to him. And I strongly suggest taking anything you don't want up for grabs out of your car. read more
