    Moving is horrible. You always wonder where to put your stuff that will not fit in a tiny closet of house or apartment where you will move (especially in the Bay Area). Of course, you don't want to sell them, right? Especially if they are a keep sake or memorable that you hoard for many many years! In this case, I'm glad I found Saf Keep. I rented a space with them for almost four years. Managed to downgrade it after couple of years and finally graduated! I never had a bad experience with them. From the time I opened a storage until the time I closed it. Very friendly staff and they will assist you up to the best they could. I find this location very secure and clean as well. Cameras everywhere and will require your code wherever you go. You can't enter the gate without it and you can't go to elevator without entering your code. They have a Dolley where you can use and some help from the staff if you need it. They also offer a discount for second storage, they have coupons, referral, etc. Make sure to ask for it will save you some money. The time of our final moving, they even offered some food (cup of noodles) to our busy movers, haha. They always checked us out if everything is okay. Definitely, will recommend this place!

    Lisa and Michael were responsible for helping me and my girlfriend select a unit and get moved in. Lisa was awesome -- she found exactly what we needed and got us a great deal for it. She took us on a tour, showed us around, explained things, and was in general a HUGE help. Lisa knows what she's talking about and uses that knowledge in turn to help out others. Michael also showed us to our unit and assisted with some of the sign-up material. Super nice guy and very prompt. Thanks, Lisa & Michael! The facility is awesome -- the hours worked well for our purposes, they have a move-in truck you can use, and the space itself is very clean, very new looking. Security is great as well, cameras everywhere (Lisa, I promise we only rode on the move-in carts once or twice...), and our stuff was locked down tight. Overall the best storage place that I have ever dealt with (used a few in college and when I was in the Peace Corps). We will definitely return if ever we have the need.

    The first time I used Saf Keep's facilities was back when they first opened about 2 or 3 years ago. I enjoyed their services so much that when I left I told myself that if there was ever a day that I needed a storage unit again I would come back to them. Well the day has finally arrived and I have returned. Upon coming back it was great to see that everything still looked maintained and in tip top shape! Micheal was definitely helpful and very easy going. He went through all the policies and services and explained them without rushing through it. THANK YOU for that cause I hate pushy sales people! (If anything I was rushing him hahaha cause I had to get to my other appointments). Though other storage places maybe a bit cheaper you definitely see where your money is going to and it's the security. Each locker has it's own sensors so if God forbid someone messes with your unit and breaks in an alarm goes off and I jump out and bop you on yo monkey ass head for trying to jack me! Just kidding. It's well protected let's say that. Also being that I needed a place to store my vinyl records the inside units are very cool in temperature and not by a cooling unit but fromf how it was built and the materials used when they constructed this place. How awesome is that! So kudos on not having a machine to keep it all under control and charging us more to make up for the PG & E bill. If you need to store your vinyl records this is the place the be! Oh and if you want to store other things too haha. Thanks again Micheal for all your help! Our company has been a loyal client of Extra Space--now Secure Space--for over a decade. However, the treatment my staff has received in just one month under the new ownership is the reason we're moving to a more customer-focused provider. Store Manager Emmanuel Balagot made it clear that customer service is not a priority. His lack of professionalism and unwillingness to work with us is unacceptable. When we paid our monthly invoice using the previous company's name, Secure Space locked us out because they couldn't process the check. How is that our fault? This delay put us behind for a month while we reconciled the payment. One payment issue--caused by Secure Space--was enough for them to deny us access. Good luck to everyone and remember there are other storage companies that truly value their customers. Beware of management!

    **CAUTION** Before renting at any storage facility managed by Cubix Asset Management, I would…read morestrongly encourage prospective tenants to do their homework and ask a lot of questions. My concerns don't stem from a minor customer service issue. They stem from how Cubix handled the aftermath of a burglary at one of its managed facilities where my property was stolen. As a disabled veteran, many of the items I stored were not simply replaceable household goods. Among the property taken were military awards, memorabilia, service-related keepsakes, and personal belongings collected over years of military service. Some of these items had been with me through multiple duty assignments and major chapters of my life. They carried sentimental value that cannot be measured in dollars and cannot simply be replaced with an insurance payment. After the theft, I spent months attempting to obtain basic information, including insurance contacts, ownership information, preservation of video footage and access logs, and a clear explanation of what happened. The process was frustratingly slow, communication was inconsistent, and getting straightforward answers proved far more difficult than it should have been. The facility advertised security cameras and surveillance. After the burglary, I was informed by the property manager that the camera covering the area of my unit was not functioning or connected to Wi-Fi. Learning that after my property had already been stolen was deeply concerning. I also learned that there had been another break-in in the same area of the facility just days before my unit was burglarized. That raised obvious questions about what additional precautions, inspections, or security checks were performed afterward and whether the advertised daily walkthroughs were actually occurring as represented. What was most disappointing was the lack of urgency and accountability after a customer suffered a significant loss. A theft is stressful enough. Customers should not have to spend months chasing information that should be readily available after an incident, especially when the stolen property includes items that are impossible to replace. In the end, after months of follow-up, the only resolution offered was roughly three months of free rent. While I appreciated that some offer was eventually made, it amounted to very little compared to the value of the property that was stolen and the time spent trying to obtain answers. Rather than providing confidence that the matter had been taken seriously, the offer felt more like an acknowledgment that something had gone wrong without any meaningful effort to make it right. The message I was left with was simple: the loss was significant, but the response was minimal. As a result, I have been forced to pursue the matter in small claims court. If you're considering renting at a Cubix-managed facility, I would recommend asking the following questions before signing a lease: * Who handles theft and loss claims? * How can tenants obtain insurance information if property is stolen? * What procedures exist to preserve surveillance footage and access records? * Are all advertised security cameras actually functioning and connected? * What steps are taken when there is a reported break-in at the facility? * How quickly are customer complaints escalated and resolved? * Who has authority to make decisions when a serious issue arises? I can only speak from my own experience, but based on that experience, I would think carefully before storing anything you would be upset to lose. Renting the unit was easy. Getting answers after a burglary was not. Anyone considering a Cubix-managed facility should spend as much time asking about theft claims, surveillance systems, and incident response as they do comparing rental rates. Those details may not seem important until the day you actually need them.
