My wife and I rented out a small storage unit from here for most of 2023. Signing up and renting out the unit was a breeze. Great customer service was provided throughout our time there with semi-regular emails and monthly statements provided. Not only was the premises clean but quite safe and seemingly secure. We had absolutely no problems with the facility throughout our time there. Compared to other storage facilities in the area, Saf Keep might be a little pricier. Nonetheless, given the customer service, cleanliness, and safety provided by Saf Keep, the premium appears to be worth it. read more

Horrible, egregious - lack of customer service! Robyn the manager was incredibly rude! She stated she was having a bad day (per Robyn - staff had called off), however, that should not negatively impact the way you interact with customers. I politely asked her to engage in a conversation about the unit we were inquiring about, however, she couldn't compose herself. She stated that "she didn't have to rent to us" - this is a total misuse of power. Please do not abuse your position of authority, and attempt to use it as a weapon to harm or inconvenience paying customers. Honestly - I feel sorry for her and that fact that she lacked self-control. We don't plan to rent our unit for very long, and if not in a time crunch - we would DEFINITELY NOT rent here! She didn't apologize for her lack of tact and inability to "manage", however, the best decision she made was to have Clayton take over to complete our lease. Clayton has impeccable customer service skills - he's humble, kind, and friendly. I'm wondering if other POC experience the same treatment - I'm truly perplexed and greatly disappointed. ***Update*** Just tried to smooth things over with Robyn and completely failed . Robyn completely spoke over me while raising her voice! I told her that I wasn't happy with the way things started off and wanted to start anew. She made false accusations about me and my husband. The fact that she is willing to go back and forth with a customer is so unprofessional and the behavior is termination worthy! I am flabbergasted and completely offended. She stated she combed through my Yelp reviews and attempted to invalidate my negative experiences at other establishments. I simply asked her - "was she there?" - which she replied - "she was not." Moving is horrible. You always wonder where to put your stuff that will not fit in a tiny closet of house or apartment where you will move (especially in the Bay Area). Of course, you don't want to sell them, right? Especially if they are a keep sake or memorable that you hoard for many many years! In this case, I'm glad I found Saf Keep. I rented a space with them for almost four years. Managed to downgrade it after couple of years and finally graduated! I never had a bad experience with them. From the time I opened a storage until the time I closed it. Very friendly staff and they will assist you up to the best they could. I find this location very secure and clean as well. Cameras everywhere and will require your code wherever you go. You can't enter the gate without it and you can't go to elevator without entering your code. They have a Dolley where you can use and some help from the staff if you need it. They also offer a discount for second storage, they have coupons, referral, etc. Make sure to ask for it will save you some money. The time of our final moving, they even offered some food (cup of noodles) to our busy movers, haha. They always checked us out if everything is okay. This place is very friendly and the facility is well kept. It is pretty pricey compared to other facility but is a very secured facility. Still for my budget, i am crying inside. I just rented a unit and used their 3 month special for that unit. Had my stuff moved in and everything was a breeze. Even today i had to move stuff around and one of the office person stayed and help me since i cant do heavy lifting. He was called back to the office and instead of leaving he said he wanted to finish assisting me even though i said it was ok. Again very nice people and the facility is very clean. read more

Lisa and Michael were responsible for helping me and my girlfriend select a unit and get moved in. Lisa was awesome -- she found exactly what we needed and got us a great deal for it. She took us on a tour, showed us around, explained things, and was in general a HUGE help. Lisa knows what she's talking about and uses that knowledge in turn to help out others. Michael also showed us to our unit and assisted with some of the sign-up material. Super nice guy and very prompt. Thanks, Lisa & Michael! The facility is awesome -- the hours worked well for our purposes, they have a move-in truck you can use, and the space itself is very clean, very new looking. Security is great as well, cameras everywhere (Lisa, I promise we only rode on the move-in carts once or twice...), and our stuff was locked down tight. The first time I used Saf Keep's facilities was back when they first opened about 2 or 3 years ago. I enjoyed their services so much that when I left I told myself that if there was ever a day that I needed a storage unit again I would come back to them. Well the day has finally arrived and I have returned. Upon coming back it was great to see that everything still looked maintained and in tip top shape! Micheal was definitely helpful and very easy going. He went through all the policies and services and explained them without rushing through it. THANK YOU for that cause I hate pushy sales people! (If anything I was rushing him hahaha cause I had to get to my other appointments). Though other storage places maybe a bit cheaper you definitely see where your money is going to and it's the security. Each locker has it's own sensors so if God forbid someone messes with your unit and breaks in an alarm goes off and I jump out and bop you on yo monkey ass head for trying to jack me! Just kidding. It's well protected let's say that. Also being that I needed a place to store my vinyl records the inside units are very cool in temperature and not by a cooling unit but fromf how it was built and the materials used when they constructed this place. How awesome is that! So kudos on not having a machine to keep it all under control and charging us more to make up for the PG & E bill. The process getting into the unit was very good from the front desk, to being able to use their moving truck then to a couple employees to help me unload into the unit. The employees are really great and helpful, when I moved out. Edwin was very kind, helpful and made the process very easy. George was especially wonderful! I had hired some Spanish speaking men from Home Depot that was difficult to communicate with. I went into the office, because I thought I had brought the wrong key, so he went to help me open the lock. George spoke Spanish, and was able to communicate with the men to help me negotiate a price. George kept checking on me to make sure I was ok, and helped me with other issues while I was waiting for the workers to be done. George was so helpful, and I felt safe with him around. This was my first time renting a storage space. Having checked a few storage places, I finalized on Saf Keep. It was because of the welcoming staff, cleanliness and security of the place. Kayana was very helpful with providing all the information and quickly completed the paperwork. On the day of the move, I used the free rental truck (excellent add-on service). The staff helped with moving the boxes to my storage. It has a great security system in place. All in all, I have had a wonderful experience which could otherwise have been stressful. Update 5/19/2018 - I vacated the unit after 3 months and the exit process was very smooth. Kayana kept the exit papers ready while she send someone to inspect the unit. Upon inspection, I signed the exit papers and was on my way out. No additional or hidden charges. Free moving truck, multiple flatbed rolling movers on site, CLEAN, secure, air conditioned, well-lit, fast and friendly services, updated holiday hours of operation e-mailed, listing/selling/donating on site... the list goes on! Yes, the lease increases once or twice a year, but do you see why? I've never needed a storage space until now. I commend my boyfriend for finding this place. He liked Safstorage because it was clean and professional looking. The staff is amazing. While being professional, they are caring, prompt and friendly. I wish I could remember each person's name. I feel safe when I'm in the units, outside of the units. The units themselves are clean, so are the halls...cleaner than my place. Lol!!!! Even though I haven't used their consignment area, that is a great idea! I kept my stuff here for a month during a moving period and had a great experience. The carry in service is great (they help you move your stuff into the storage unit)! Although you do have to move out on your own, they have carts to help you with moving. They seem to have really good security and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We looked at a lot of places around South Fremont before deciding on Saf Keep and we couldn't have been happier. When we moved in they allowed us to use their on-site transportation vehicle which was super convenient and also helped us save money on renting our own truck. We had been tenants for about 2 years where we had constantly moved items from our home to storage, and vice-versa, until recently moving out all of our items completely. The facilities are super clean, they kept all of our belongings cool, and the staff have always been very nice and helpful. Checkout process was awesome. Just a standard look into our space, a few signatures, and oh they also have this awesome service that allows you to help sell your items, and at the time we had some items that we wanted to donate, and they took those as well too. (Keep in mind this is when we checked out (May, 2015) so you want to check in with the staff to see if the service is still running.) I was shocked of how rude they spoke to her. I think this place is better then most other storage businesses but their prices are very high! Just signed on for a 10x30 storage unit at Saf Keep on Osgood. Robyn and George were very friendly and helpful in my selection of the appropriate sized unit for our stuff. Had a chance to inspect the unit, signed rental documents on a electronic tablet, avoiding lots of paperwork, bought the needed lock, went over the procedures for access/exit. Nice easy process. The day I came in here last December I was about to snap... one of the most miserable, lonely and stressful days of my life.... and then I met Jessica:) She was like a breathe of fresh air! Everyone here was so kind and helpful, they really saw me through a rough time. Moving forward, they return calls and emails promptly and are always professional and helpful. I'm one of those crazy people who actually pays money to someone else to store my stuff... I've used many different storage facilities over the years...but SafKeep is the cleanest place I've found so far. The customer service reps were responsive. When I couldn't get the ramp out from the moving truck, one of the SafKeep guys came out to help. And they worked with me even though I was a bit late on returning the truck. The cleanliness of the storage units and the ease of opening the doors...especially the roll up doors is a total BONUS. The cost is a bit higher than other places, but the trade-off is a good, clean facility. I only wish that the internet specials were more global to all the units, not just specific ones. The registration process was very fast and easy...all automated on a touch screen monitor/kiosk. This is a great place to store your stuff! read more

First I have to say I did not actually give this place my money and never will. I called to get some information about a rental and have never spoken to ANYONE so rude as Michael. Clearly this place has no idea about customer service, and let's their employees speak to customers however they please. When I asked to speak to a manager he informed me that he was the manager, although I doubt it. I was about to get off the phone when he asked me to hold on and I heard him tell a customer that he "really thought they should take their business else where because clearly they would never be happy," well I took the advice and took my business elsewhere.......watch out for MICHAEL, can't miss him. I used them not once but twice, both times short term when they were over at their old location over off Albrae. I can't say enough nice things about this business. Safe Keep is so professional. They sell all the supplies you need to move. Boxes, tape, bubble pack etc. Speciality boxes for dishes, china, clothing. The old facility had free large carts to use, elevator, super clean, climate controlled, very well light, mouse traps. They are the rolls royce of the storage business in my opinion. Their rates are really good and there is always someone there in the office during their business hours. The other facility also had storage for boats, RV's, campers. This place is really nice & clean. Cleanliness is the biggest thing to me and being that it's pretty new is always nice! The staff is super friendly and they have great communication. I've dealt with one girl (I don't remember her name) and she has always been so nice! I like how all the floors and spaces have those pull down gates as the door.
