This makes you believe that's the price you'll actually be paying. After you sign up and make a payment, the contract (if you take the time to read the fine print) reveals that the price is only valid for 3-4 months. After that, it more than doubles. Why not be upfront about it instead of putting people through all this hassle? It's totally misleading. I assume they think once people move in they might just put up with the scam instead of going through the hassle of moving out again.

Somehow in their minds they think that these companies (who do moving) are their competitors and ban them for "competitive branding". 2. They jack the price up like crazy. Well, okay, their contracts are month to month, so you have to expect that, but they also lie to you and you can see it below from their business damage control rep, Emily S.: she says that this price increase is due to "market conditions". So market condition at the time of this writing on their own website is $258/mo for 10x20' unit. Do you know how much I pay? $558. Capitalism is one thing, lying through your teeth is another.

1 Star -- Massive Privacy Violations, Theft, and Horrible Customer Treatment…read more If you care about your personal security or keeping your belongings safe, stay far away from CubeSmart in Fremont. Theft & Security: I experienced missing items despite having management on-site. There is zero actual security or protection for victims here. Privacy Breach: CubeSmart shared my private profile and insurance information with Public Storage without my authorization. They worked together to compare notes and treat me like a suspect rather than assisting a paying customer who suffered a loss. Financial Nightmare: Following these security breaches and the unauthorized sharing of my personal info, my bank accounts were hacked, and I'm currently dealing with bank fraud. The level of disrespect and unprofessionalism from both CubeSmart and their associated insurance setup is unreal. Too much drama for a service you pay for. Avoid both CubeSmart and Public Storage at all costs

I have even recommended this location to a friend. I see a $1 MOVE IN special on a 10x10 right now. I think the units here rent fast which is why there aren't always $1 specials available. My understanding is those specials are only on units that have been sitting empty for a while. My units price seems fair to me, just over $300 for a 10x30 unit. When I first moved in there were some people that seemed to be there all the time, but management seems to have addressed that as I no longer see them around. The only downfall I can think of is the door location being on the side instead of the end of my unit, which means I can't store my 20ft trailer inside. (But...how many people have a 20ft trailer?)
