I just picked up two winter squashes and a pound of potatoes for under $5. You wouldn't guess this place is only 7 minutes from Gorham's Main Street -- it's like a hidden little gem.

We got salad greens, cucumbers, garden tomatoes (for our BLTs) corn on the cob (was fantastic and so sweet) to the fresh baked wild blueberry pie. The pie became everyone's breakfast the next morning and it was spectacular. I thought it would most certainly need ice cream but I'm glad I had it as is. They seemed to be doing very well, so I just kept a close eye and watched them build and grow their business to meet the customer needs for local meat and vegetables....and as of the last year or so they have added so many ready made meals, and baked goods and desserts!!! I have been back twice in the past month or so and each time have stocked up on treats for special occassions. We loved the Quiche - very high quality and the taste was buttery and cheesey and eggey - LOVE! I have tried and thoroughly enjoyed their house made, english muffins, muffins, cookies, brownies and fruit bread slices. So so good. They accept cash and credit. They have a great staff/team of workers...they are friendly, and fun. The cat Darla - she was a hit with everyone that was with me...she is the perfect mix of sweet and spicy...don't pet her too long, she will hit you with her little mitten paws. She will rub up against your legs and allow you to provide a few pets...she will reach up with her paws/claws if you stop petting too soon. LOL There is so much that I love about this business.. Update from one year later... we intentionally came back here to pick because we knew the apples…read morewould be abundant (and THEY WERE)! ********** PLEASE NOTE: This review is just for PYO (much further down the street) and not for their farm stand which is located on the corner of Ossipee Trail and Randall Road. This is Portland's apple orchard. Only being 15 to 30 minutes outside of the city (depending on where you're coming from), it's the closest and easiest to get to. This is a no frills orchard: pay for what you want to pick (for a peck it was $14), mostly the trees are macs and corts, you can walk right into the orchard or get a tractor ride down to other trees on the weekends, there's real apple cider available for sale (for a quart it was $3.50), maybe some gourds in a pile. Easy peasy. If you were looking to make apple picking a quick part of your day and not a full on event, Randall Orchards is exactly what you're looking for. Minimum of $5 on cards. (SIDE NOTE: They love and respect others local farmers and other orchards in southern Maine; we appreciated having a heart to heart with an employee about some of the unfortunate closures that happened this year.)

Every vendor we walked by, said hello and seemed warm and friendly. The area was set up near the main walkway, which was nice - very tidy and organized. There were a lot of different patrons, young and old and everyone seemed so happy and engaged with the vendors. I can't believe it's taken me YEARS to finally visit. I will definitely return, if I can get out of work in time. That's the only downside, they are only set up until 6pm on Thursdays.

They do have parking in the back. I didn't see the sign for that from the street, but I was able to find street parking just past the market place. As I was leaving I saw the clam mascot, and I had to get a picture! I can't wait for the Yarmouth Clam Festival, it's literally the reason why I came to Maine from Austin, Texas.
