Went to this place on Sunday. Didn't know what to expect. Place looks run down lighting was bad and no inside bathroom. The female cashier was Rude,irritated and unprofessional. My go-tos are the fish burrito, carne asad fries w/o beans and carne asada burrito. After a late night out, I was feeling nostalgic and found myself craving a fish burrito. I found that the cabbage to fish ratio is not on point so I sprung for extra fish in my burrito (~ $2 extra) and you know what, it's worth it! Food? Good Employees? Booooooo Whoever was taking orders at the drive thru... Like girl you need to be patient and listen to what we are trying to tell you so you can get it right the first time man. The food here is consistent and well made. The drive thru workers are usually polite and quick. The drive thru gets quite long at times; but they move through customers so quickly, I rarely have to wait longer than 5 minutes. My go-to orders are the Super Burrito, Breakfast Burrito, and the California Burrito. Depending how much I want to treat myself, I'll throw in 2 to 4 mini tacos. The mini tacos are your typical street taco. I love the onions, cilantro, and grilled onions they throw on top (with included lime wedges!). Al pastor here is amazing. read more

Dropped by after working out and was happy to see this place was open late. We decided to get an order of taquitos and a carne asada burrito. The burrito was alright but nothing spectacular about it. I felt it was on par with other surrounding fast food places such as Albertos. I've had better tasting taquitos. The guacamole was bland and the shredded beef didn't have too much flavor either. YOU WOULD THINK that the giant banner above the entrance reading, "Same owner, different name" would have thrown up a big red flag... But NOoooo I had to just ignore it and walk right in. I decided to order the mini tacos plate. You know the little authentic ones you get when you're south of the border? Yea those. I ordered one asada, one carnitas and two al pastor. The moment I took the first bite I knew It wasn't what I was expecting. The little tortillas they came on we're actually quite good. The main problem was with the meat. Not good at all. The type of meat that tasted like it was sitting in a bin then re-heated on the griddle. Oof. I've come to realize that the worst time to eat is when you're starving cause you still end up eating the food against your better judgment! Went through the drive thru and the lady handing out the food had great customer service. The wait in the line was not long at all. My original carne asada taco was very dry! Hardly any pico de gallo or guacamole. But, I continued to eat anyway. I started to eat my meat with a fork and found 2 strands of hair wrapped up in my taco (see picture.) I am seriously disgusted. This place was used for the movie "Clerks 2" before Alertos moved in (previously a Burger King). Like most Alertos/Albertos/Alvaros popping up in Southern California, the place has become a carbon copy of something that once was unique. Here are the pros and cons. As we pulled into the parking lot, I thought late night snack with some friends - awesome. First my friend orders half an order of pollo asada fries and a medium horchata and I decided to get a Snapple because I'm super thirsty and really wanted Snapple or some weird reason. We love Sabrosada! We usually order the super fries. They come with guacamole, sour cream, onions, tomatoes, cilantro, refried beans and your choice of meats. We get carne asada or carnitas. Never disappoints. We have tried different places and ordered super fries, but they aren't nearly as good as Sabrosada. This particular location has a drive through which makes it even better if you don't want to get out of your car. read more

I gave this place the benefit of the doubt because I was assuming that there was not that many people working, but 35 minutes later of waiting in the drive thru line, I saw at least 4 workers. Not only that but there were maybe 5 cars in the line that did not move at all for a very long time.The front car had been there for about 15 minutes and it took forever to get my food. This is a new Alertos to me, Ive been here twice counting the other reason why I'm reviewing this. When I used to be in the fountain valley area alot, Alertos was the midnight place to go either the one on brookhurst and mcfadden, and also brookhurst and warner. The first time i visited this location, I went through the drive thru, as you can see from my pictures, what really fascinated me about this Alertos, they have an ATM in the drive thru because they only accept cash. Talk about being super smart, most places will say ATM located inside. Pure brilliance. The venue itself is way bigger than its other locations. So I ordered two breakfast burrito both for me! Just kidding one for me and the other for my girlfriend, I love the breakfast burrito here. What separates it from other breakfast burritos, is well majority places Ive been too, when they add ham its a big piece of ham, and also a whole sausage. But here both are nicely diced, so you're getting everything in one bite! On top of it being really good, especially with ketchup indoor the hot sauce they give you, talk about a Delicious and nutritious breakfast!!! =) The second time I actually dined in by myself because I was on jury duty over at the Santa Ana courthouse. Again like I said the venue is bigger, a lot of seating. This time I ordered the carne asada fries, and first of all they do give you a good amount. And trust me they do not hold back on giving you the chopped up carne asada. I was super hungry, but even if i wasn't, the balance of the meat plus cheese, sour creme and fries, it was so addicting you just would feel bad if you didn't finish it! I bought two breakfast burritos, they gave me the receipt for $20.12, later I fought out that they took $208.12 for my debit card bank account. I came back and ask the money to be fund back right away to my bank account. The manager was rude and told me that the money will be fund back the next 24 to 48 hour and blamed me for not asking for cash refund. Super Fries (Large) -- The girl at the counter said the medium could feed two, so we ordered the large instead. She lied! My sister and I made it disappear like a simple magic trick. Combo # 7 -- The order came with Mexican rice, re-fried beans, and two beef burritos. The beans were perfect, and the burritos had nice subtle flavors to them, but rice could have used more salt.
