Oh man, where do I start?! I wasn't so sure about this spot as I am new to the area. You see a lot of "authentic" mexican food spots and I just had some bad experiences. Decided to try their breakfast burrito and oh my goodness, that was such a delicious and filling burrito! I had to save the half for later. Their service is quick and easy, it definitely seems that they love what they do. The spot itself looks nice and home-y. Whenever I pass by I know that they deliver nothing but amazing food and experiences. I also am a crazy fan for a California burrito. They stuff the HECK out of the burrito! Whenever I want to treat myself I get an extra side of guac. I order this at minimum once a month whenever I have my cravings. Best spot in Stanton! read more

Been going here for over a decade since it used to be called Alerto's. Prices have increased a lot which is fine with inflation & costs but last week I ordered my usual asada fries and asked for red sauce & extra per usual. They usually give me about 5-6 total when I ask for extra. At the pick-up window they gave me 1 red & 4 green for my order. Gave back the green sauce and said I didn't need those and didn't want to waste & just wanted the extra red sauce I asked for earlier. Not sure but seems like the person who took my order and the person at the window were different by their voices so they might have not known I asked. Was told at the window it's extra now since "tomatoes are more expensive" ... I was surprised because I was here last week and this was news, but I can understand charging for EXTRA sauce but I only had 1 sauce and was just asking at least to replace the green sauces they gave me. They could've just went ahead & gave me a normal amount and told me more is extra which is fine, but how are you going to try to charge me extra for sauce when I only have 1 sauce? I didn't ask for the green. The encounter was a bit awkward since I was surprised but before I could even say anything they ended up giving me more red sauce. I asked for the extra sauce while ordering & they could have told me about this charge when I initially ordered. Took my chances again this week and ordered a burrito and didn't ask for extra sauce. Got to the window & they didn't ask me if I wanted any sauce like they did before and just handed me my burrito with 1 red sauce & 2 green sauce. I took this as my confirmation they're starting to nickle & dime for sauce when it's literally meant for the food they sell. Didn't want to bother asking for more red sauce but will think twice now about returning anymore because I can't even get the right or enough sauce to enjoy my food without paying extra. Ordered the breakfast burrito with everything. It's huge and good for 2 people. Tasty, not greasy and not salty. The garden salsa are made fresh and lots of varieties to choose from. Nice staff and fast service. Place is clean with mellow Mexican music and lots of parking. read more

They have the best carne asada fries imo. I have been and will forever be coming back for this one item every time. They have a full size that could easily feed two or for sharing as a side. Or a half size for one or to share if you're not too hungry. The fries are topped generously with sour cream, guacamole, refried beans, pico de gallo and loaded with carne asada chopped up and cheese sprinkled on top. I love Sabrosada. They're open late hours of the night, and better yet they are so generous with their meat portions. Their regular sized tacos are huge - almost half the size of a burrito. Up until now, I've only had their carne asada and chicken which (for me) was just okay. BUT, I gave their buche meat a try with the mini tacos - and it's better than any buche taco I've ever had at a taco truck (and the best I've had!). They give you an ample size of grilled onions as well, which are also perfectly crunchy and seasoned. My SO won't touch buche or offal meats, but I made him try it and he loved it. That's how good it is. It beautifully plated for takeout, but we ate it before I remembered to take a photo. Definitely coming back for these from now on. read more

I really don't think this place is a 3 star. I've been here for the past 1-2 years and I think this place is amazing. Let me put everyone on. I went on a late night and went through the drive thru. They close at 12am which is pretty good. There wasn't any wait, but usually there's a line sometimes. I ordered the full size carne asada fries and got the fries as skinny fries. You can also get the regular fries as well. I usually get no beans. A very good add on you could get on the side for free are fried chilies. Those chilies are spicy but very delicious. The total came out to be around $16.50. For the amount they give you, it's a good deal. Overall, this is my go to place to for carne asada fries. The flavorful meat with the sauce and pico they put on, texture of the fries, the whole thing is delicious. Definitely check this place out, best carne asada fries around here. read more

This place did not dissapoint. I went through the drive thru and was craving Carne asada so I got the combination plate. To my surprise, their Carne was delicious. They give plenty of salsa which is a big bonus for me and the plate will surely last me for lunch the next day with the quantity I got. The service was quick through the drive through and their prices are very fair for the amount of food they serve. There was plenty of parking surrounding the area. Another favorite of mine here is the potato taco. Absolutely a must try. read more

This place isn't in the safest neighborhoods. However it's lit and safe inside, the surrounding areas are sketch. Taco was $5. Tons of meat descent sized. 2 shredded beef tacos with rice and beans 13.29. I've been here a few times now and I would've given them a 5 except one of my meals was horrible. But everything else has been really good!!!!!! I've had their beef rolled tacos. Just wish they had chicken. But they give you TONS of guacamole. Their tacos are HUGE and delicious. I had their carnitas and chicken. Both delicious. I also had their potato taco. Super yummy and huge. I had their carnitas sope and that was really good and filling! Then I ordered their shrimp bowl and the shrimp was amazing but the rest was horrible. I substituted the rice for more lettuce. There was sooo much water in the bowl from the lettuce. No joking there was at least a cup of water at the bottom. Then the pinto beans were really bland. I have a love-hate relationship with this casual spot. My go-to is the Carne Asada Nachos half size with everything. Good portion and good chips too. We waited a looong time in the drive-thru to order it, only to come home and open to a box of asada FRIES. I was so HANGRY. Fries were soggy AF. The lady even repeated our order when we ordered so what the heck happened?! Not going here when it's busy or will spend some time to check our order before driving away. They don't have pickled onions, only pickled carrots (soggy) and jalapenos. Red sauce is spicier than green sauce. You'll need like 5 since the sauce containers are quarter sized. Upon seeing the stars and a couple of reviews, I was a little bit hesitant about dining here however I was craving Mexican food so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Carne Asada nachos, mini Pollo tacos and mini Asada tacos and a shrimp taco. Unfortunately this was some of the most unflavored food I've had in my 35 years of life. The customer service was OK though I felt it was a bit rushed. The strip taco by far was the worst tasting item and it was over stuffed with lettuce, cabbage mayonnaise, which has no place on a shrimp taco, bell peppers and rice. The shrimp did have a good flavor itself, however, altogether I couldn't continue to eat it. I paid $30 which isn't bad for all the items I got however if they had tasted anywhere near okay/ good I wouldn't feel like I had wasted my money. read more

Sabrosada been my favorite and go to burrito and taco joint since it was alertos, us locals still call it alertos lol Prices have definitely increase and not how it use to be, but that's everywhere in OC. My favorite items are the pollo asado burrito, fish burrito, and carne asada burrito. I find the burrito kind of small and nowadays I just order 2 tacos instead. I find that if you order the tacos, you get more meat, especially the pollo asado tacos. I recommend getting the taco with flour tortillas, that's just a personal preference. For the salsa, it's ok, now they have green salsa as a well. I notice on the menu they have new items such as buche and cabeza, I haven't tried those it but it sounds good, definitely will the the buche and cabeza next time read more

The carne asada fries here are fire. I get the occasional, sudden cravings and they hit every time. The thicker fries soak up all the juices from the meat as well as the sauces and the carne asada is nicely cooked and flavored. The portion is pretty generous and good for the price--even the half portion is sharable for two people from my experience. I usually call and place an order before picking it up, but occasionally when I order in-store, the food still comes out quickly. There is a bar for sides for dining in, but there are no to-go containers; just ask the staff for what you want and they will give you the already-packed ones. Their salsa is pretty decent, although the red one could be more spicy. I tried the super burrito this time too. I thought it was a bit too salty and could be a bit more stuffed, but overall pretty good as well. read more

I think this place is the quintessential hit or miss late night taco shop. You'll either love it or hate it, and EVERYONE has something to say about it. Anyways, I was craving some carne asada fries and stopped by this place for the first time. The ordering took very short because it wasn't too crowded and they have an efficient process. The fries came out in around 15 minutes, so no complaints on my end! The carne asada fries had a little bit to be desired though. I think the meat was a little too dry and salty for my taste, and the salsa didn't help too much with that. The beans were an unnecessary addition in my opinion since it made everything a lot more heavy. The fries were alright though! I feel like there isn't much room for them to adjust the dish because they've been doing it for years, but I think my San Diego natives might not be happy with this. read more

As much as I don't like being petty, the fact that a burrito just unwraps itself while it's still in the bag just tells me the workers don't care much about whatever leaves the window. It wasn't a busy time, just around 4PM and after I received the bag from the drive through I didn't touch it until I grabbed it to get in my house. As I look into the bag while I'm grabbing it, voila an exploded burrito. If I could give zero stars I would. I went thru drive thru yesterday and waited over 30 min in line. I got home and every thing I ordered was wrong. How does that even happen? I understand maybe one thing occasionally might be off here or there but not everything single thing. I called the manager and they expected me to drive back with the food so they could remake. My husband and I eat at Sabrosada 2-3 times/week. Their food is consistently high quality and their staff is friendly and has come to know us and what we order on a regular basis. Dulce is especially friendly and sweet. I'm surprised to read the negative comments on here. I think people can be so rude and impatient with people in the service industry. Dulce is awesome! Nice drive through spot! Got the carne asada fries and they were pretty good! I asked for thin fries but don't think I got them. Not the biggest fan of thick fries, especially when they're loaded on top. The meat was delicious and I enjoyed all the toppings! Drive thru Mexican restaurant. Has a variety of different combination plates, tacos, wet burritos, and desserts like churros. Prices are average. Food honestly wasn't the best. It was ok. Definitely better than fast food places, but not better than Mexican restaurants like El Torito and Senor Taco. The enchiladas weren't very flavorful at all.. and the rice was bland. It's sad to say Disneyland had better Mexican food. I was pretty disappointed. The food needs more seasoning or needs to be less watered down.
