I had them hem a pair of pants. They did a good job at a reasonable price ($12) and fairly fast (3 days).

I was so ecstatic to find such a great tailor right across the street from my job…read more Reza is amazing! He has done all types of alterations for me, I am a petit person so every winter coat I've gotten the sleeves are always super long. Unlike other tailors, Reza takes the time to do it right! Instead of shortening the sleeve he starts at the shoulder which means tedious work. It always turns out perfect! He has also fixed couple of my husband's suits that were ill fitting and now they fit perfect! Recently he custom made a sports coat for my husband. It fits like a glove, it's perfect, he helped me choose a beautiful material. Anywhere my husband has worn that blazer, he is bound to get at least one or two compliments. All the compliments go to Reza I would definitely recommend him, the service and the garments are worth the price!!

I'm so glad I found Reza's shop, Barg Garments. I brought him a dress that was the wrong size. But it was what I'd chosen for a black-tie optional event, so I was hoping for a miracle. I tried it on in the shop, Reza studied it for maybe thirty seconds, took some measurements and made suggestions. No fuss, no upselling -- just a calm, knowing confidence. When I came back to pick it up, he brought it out and I immediately knew...it was beautiful! What had been a visibly misfitting dress, was turned into an elegant gown! I walked into Reza's shop with a problem dress and walked out with a lovely gown I can't wait to wear. That says everything. Thank you Reza, I am genuinely grateful. I highly recommend your services!

Luis Tailoring - You want it when? Is very accurate for Luis tailoring. They have it posted in the shop!

Exceptional service! Came in for something and banged it out very quick! Highly recommend!read more

The good reviews made me see Luis, but I will never go back…read more I took two suits to him for tailoring and am not happy with either. And the experience was terrible. First, neither suit was ready when he said they would be. He had them for an extra week and he had not work on them until the day I went to pick them up. Second, he did not tailor the sleeves correctly, they were uneven. Third, the pant legs were not as I wanted them to be. He kept telling me the style is to have no break, but I told him that is not my style and I wanted them to break. I also asked him to taper the legs and he said it was not needed. Well, when I went to get the pants for one of the suits (the other pants were completely messed up...more to follow) the hem was too high and the legs were too baggy. He lowered the hem but not enough (as I told him to do) and he did taper the legs. Fourth and worst of all...he switched my pants with those of another customer and tailored them to his measurements. That customer is shorter than me. He tried to correct his mistake. But when I went back to get the pants the hem was too high and he had let out the waist and seat a ridiculous amount. I see what he did was let the seat out as much as possible so the hem line would be lower. I had to have him take in the waste and lower the hem the maximum amount possible. The hem line is still slightly too short but there is nothing he could do because he cut the material when he hemmed them for the shorter customer. And also the seat is so low it rubs against my inner things. I should have demanded he pay for the suit he ruined but I was so tired of waiting for it and I needed it that I just paid him. It took three trips and over a month to get my suits from him. Worst of all is he charged me full price for the alternations, even on the pants he messed up. Luis is a nice man but he rushes and does not listen to when the customer wants. Sadly, I don't recommend his tailoring services at all. I know others who are satisfied with him but I was very disappointed by his work and professionalism.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with professionalism, friendliness, and excellent customer service. My garments were returned looking fresh, clean, and perfectly cared for. Thank you to everyone at Yates Dry Cleaning for making my first visit such a great experience. I appreciate your hard work, dedication, and commitment to providing top-quality service. I was a loyal customer of this dry cleaner for several years and trusted them with numerous…read moregarments, including dry cleaning and tailoring. Unfortunately, my experience has been deeply disappointing and has permanently changed my view of this establishment. In June 2026, I received a dress back damaged. I had worn the dress only once before bringing it in for cleaning. The dress cost $470. After I reported the damage, I was asked to provide the retailer's website so they could verify the cost and arrange reimbursement. I was later told the business was waiting to restock the dress, with no estimated delivery date. I explained that I preferred reimbursement rather than having the business purchase a replacement on my behalf. What made this experience particularly troubling was a subsequent phone conversation with a member of management. While I was calmly and respectfully discussing the damaged garment and seeking a resolution, the manager stated that she would not be treated "like a slave." As a Black woman whose family has a personal history of sharecropping and whose father grew up during the Jim Crow era, I found that remark deeply offensive and completely inappropriate in the context of a customer service conversation. Regardless of intent, that language was unnecessary and caused genuine distress. When I asked for the owner's contact information so I could address my concerns directly, the call was ended. I called back and spoke with another employee, who apologized for the interaction and indicated that someone would follow up. I appreciated her attempt to help. However, I subsequently sent a formal letter to the owner detailing the damaged garment, the interaction with management, and my concerns. I never received a response to my letter. I eventually received a $400 check and a $100 store credit. Although I received some compensation, the check did not cover the full cost of the dress, and the store credit is of no value to me because I will never return to this establishment. After years of loyalty and patronage, I expected accountability for the damage to my clothing, respectful treatment, and the courtesy of a response from ownership. Instead, I was left disappointed by both the customer service experience and the lack of communication from the owner. For me, this is about more than a damaged dress. It is about how a business treats a longtime customer when something goes wrong, the language used during a customer service interaction, and whether management is willing to take responsibility and address legitimate concerns. Unfortunately, this experience has permanently broken my trust in this business. I will not be returning. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and recognizes the importance of treating every customer with professionalism, respect, and accountability.

They've also done a ton of other work for my wife and I; including fixing dress shoes, mending clothes, and altering dresses for my wife. Most importantly though, ...I dropped clothes off on Friday, and forgot to pick them up on Saturday. Well today is Monday and I am flying to Africa tonight and needed my suits and dress shirts, however, the entire DC area is closed due to the snowstorm. I was pretty bent out of shape because I absolutely needed the clothes for work, and my flight appears to still be on time since it's a late flight. So, I ended up getting ahold of Suki on the phone at home and she had her son drive her in despite the SNOWSTORM... so I could make my flight with all of my clothes!!!! If that doesn't scream "awesome customer service", I don't know what does. Go to Kings Cleaner you won't regret it!

I picked up a black dress on 6/5 that I dropped off to be pressed for an event on 6/6. The dress…read morewas strapless on the right side and had two long straps on the left to be tied in a bow on the top of the shoulder. I tried the dress on around 1pm to match my accessories. The event was at 6pm. I noticed the right and left side of the dress was safety pinned to the paper hanger to hold the dress up as there was no strap on the right shoulder. I noticed a 3rd safety pin but wasn't sure why. I removed all of the pins to try the dress on. When I went to tie the bow on the shoulder there was only one strap. I looked around and saw it was on the floor. I realized the strap was pinned to the dress because it was no longer attached. I rushed back to the cleaners because I knew it was an easy fix. All they had to do was to sew it back on. I talked to a small man and he was puzzled. I told him if he sewed it back all would be good but that it was connected when I dropped it off. I did not drop the dress off to be cleaned in two pieces. He nodded and signaled to give him time & he would fix it. A larger Asian woman proceeded to yell at the man for a few seconds then turned her anger towards me. She began yelling at me. I told her to stop yelling at me. She told me she was going to make me pay $20, still screaming. I calmly told her I wasn't. I remained calm and noncombatant because I just needed my dress fixed. The man fixed it in a matter of 3-5 minutes. The lady the took it from him and brought it to the counter. She started yelling at me again saying that she was making me pay $20. I told her I absolutely would not. She had the top portion of my dress on her side of the counter and I had the bottom on my side. We were at an impasse while she continued to scream at me and the man in the back. I told her that I was not paying and going to call the police. That is when the small man finally spoke up and started yelling at her. I assume he was telling her to give me my dress so that I didn't call the police. The lady and I exchanged some very unkind words she also called me a liar. I was fed up with her yelling at me. I walked out assuring her I would never return and would write a review about my experience. I guess had I checked the reviews on Yelp first I would have never gone it. The cleaners is 10 walk from my house. I try and make it a habit to frequent the neighborhood establishments. I lived here for four years and have never had a bad experience at any of the shops or restaurants.
