As a Falafel addict I often look for it at every place I visit. And boy, good falafel is hard to find, even decent ones are in short supply. So imagine how happy I was to find one that matches the taste of falafel back home. The falafel is freshly made upon order, the Israeli salad was fantastic, the hummus and tahini were spot on! Definitely recommend it to those craving a good falafel! The girls at the truck were nice. The service was fast and efficient. All in all an excellent experience.

Sure looks like mayonnaise and sure tasted like it.....

I had a falafel sandwich. It was gross. I would swear, swear that if that was truly tahini, it was made with mayonnaise. It was gross and tasted terrible. It was the worst tahini I've ever had. Also not sure what kind of oil they use for frying, but it sure gave the falafel a funky taste. If you're a true Middle Eastern food aficionado, then this place is not for you. I've tried this place two or three times. Never going back......

Sabaraba's is a kiosk in the parking lot. You order at the kiosk and they announce when your order is ready. It took awhile, but it is worth the wait for fresh food. Seating is common patio area outside. My pita schwarama was good and tasty. See pics of my order and part of the menu. Came here based on a recommendation, and would recommend if you want to grab some fresh made food. My only complaint was the server made some mistake with my credit card swiping it twice causing it to be rejected/flagged, which was hassle to get corrected. I was able to pay with another card.

Mediterranean craving satisfied. My partner and I ordered a gyro plate, falafel plate, seasoned fries, and baba ganoush - TASTE: 4/5 - highlights were the lamb & beef mix in the gyro, falafel, and seasoned fries; truly could not stop eating the fries. Loved the sides of tzatziki, harissa mayo, and harissa ketchup. The Israeli salad and baba ganoush were alright TEXTURE: 4/5 - the fries and falafel were fried really nicely, and the hummus was thick and smooth PRICE: 5/5 - our total came out to $37, which was amazing SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - pleasantly surprised that the falafel plate came w 8 pieces of falafel! We took home about half of the food SERVICE: 4/5 - we were the second party there when we arrived at 6pm on a Monday. Placed our order and got our food only 10min later ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - bright shipping container/kiosk w 8-10 picnic tables. Can appreciate the owner's love of real Israeli street food TAKEOUT: 5/5 - the gyro and falafel entrees came on paper plates w plastic lids that had ventilation holes PARKING: 5/5 - plenty of parking in the Parkside Shopping Center plaza

So good! Reminded me of the middle eastern food I'd get back home in Illinois. Great size portions for your buck. Had the chicken plate and can say I'll be back.

We were greeted immediately upon walking in and there were so many people I was nervous we weren't going to be able to eat there, but looks were deceiving and there were more tables in the back. We sat outside on a cool day and they had heaters going. Our server was super nice for our first time and brought fresh salsa and chips. I ordered a trio of tacos so I could try a few, the tacos were phenomenal. The meat was seasoned well and plentiful in the taco. I wanted to like the chimichurri taco more, but like some others have mentioned the meat was a bit big when trying to get a bite. We needed to leave to get to the venue and once mentioning our time crunch the server pointed us in the best direction and let us out the back door. Food was great and quick, service excellent, and I would 10/10 come back again.

Ordered the shrimp tacos, beef barbacoa, beef birria taco, pork carnitas, beef consome, guac chips, tres leches. Our first time, ordered the taco feast and the birria pizza and it was soo much food. This is our third time and it's quickly becoming our favorite. We've already told a ton of our friends about this place!! The waiter Alex was nice and did apologize that the consome came out first; it did surprise us haha I have a gripe though; we were going to order a dessert but he told us that my birthday tres leches dessert would be on the house. When we got home, realized he charged us for it. A real shame. We tipped extra/24% because of the free dessert. We learned our lesson for being too trusting. 3/5 Update: Ariadna the assistant manager contacted me and remedied the situation by comping the dessert and appetizer. I appreciate her timeliness and her being succinct. Switched to 5/5

Atlanta is better off for having food trucks (and this park, specifically). Despite the cloudy, on-and-off drizzly weather, the park had a good turnout of patrons between 7-9pm on a Thursday night. Thanks to those who braved the elements for our UYE (http://www.yelp.com/events/atlanta-atlanta-food-truck-park-uye). The food truck/food stand lineup was pretty good: Sweet Auburn BBQ Corn-a-Cue One Love Jerk Grill Metro City Dogs Lemonade Stand WOW! Food Truck Ibiza Bites Chay J's New Orleans Candies Rouxd Food Truck King of Pops Yum Yum Cupcake Verizon also had a stand. I've been following the park's official calendar (http://www.atlantafoodtruckpark.com/calendar/) over the past month and noticed Thursday nights are the ideal weeknight (excluding Fridays) to go for the most trucks and the best selection. I suspect there might have been more trucks last night if it wasn't for the weather. I ended up trying a little bit of everything: Arepas (Venezuelan sliders) from WOW! Food Truck Beef brisket with Asian pear slaw taco from Sweet Auburn BBQ Goat cheese-stuffed fried green tomatoes from Ibiza Bites Creole pretzels and Creole popcorn from Chay J's I'll be posting reviews for each of those trucks in the next few days. If you come for dinner, I recommend coming on the early side as the food trucks only have a limited supply of items and do sell out. This leads some trucks to close early. I saw many menus with marked off items that had sold out for the day. Yum Yum Cupcakes shut down early because they sold out of their cupcakes for the day. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much seating the park had. I counted 16 large picnic tables in the main "dining" area, most with umbrellas. Each picnic table can seat up to about 8 people each. The picnic tables are located on a flat, paved surface. The food trucks are located in a large gravel lot. This lot has 4 communal standing tables and 2 additional picnic tables. So overall, this spot has quite a bit of seating, which is convenient. Also, plenty of trash cans and recycling bins to keep the grounds looking relatively clean. The park is family and dog-friendly. It can be a little loud because you're around all these big trucks and next to busy Howell Mill Rd. You can BYOB, so save money by bringing your own drinks. If you want water, I saw some trucks selling it for $1 per bottle. There is one restroom and it's a "Johnny on the Spot" porta-potty in the parking lot with portable sink outside so you can wash your hands. There is ample free parking behind the park. Turn onto Emery St, next to the Shell Station on Howell Mill, to find it. If you need more detailed directions, check out the park's FAQ here: http://www.atlantafoodtruckpark.com/faqs/. The parking lot is old and filled with pot holes, so drive carefully. I saw someone puncture their car's tire by running over a broken-off metal sign post on the ground (she was trying to make too tight of a turn around the dining area). Note that every Wednesday and Friday night throughout the summer, the park will be playing movies for free. Also, from time to time, there is live music. On the weekends, there's a food market with rotating vendors and an artists market coming soon. Overall, I'm very happy with the Atlanta Food Truck Park and definitely plan on returning.

It was a little pricey at $14 for 3 small-ish tacos, but each taco was packed with meat. I also got a taco de la abuela with pastor meat. For their street tacos, they have normal street tacos for $3.25, or for $0.25 more you can get the same taco with a handmade tortilla (aka taco de la abuela). I didn't try a normal taco, so not sure if there's a notable difference in the tortilla, but I thought the pastor taco was solid as well. I felt like perhaps it was lacking a little in flavor? But I do appreciate the amount of meat that's given. The slices of pineapple are nice as well - very authentic. Throughout my dining experience, most customers were picking up/taking orders to go. The restaurant is kept clean and there's a serve yourself salsa bar. I'm glad that I've found a good taco spot nearby! For food, I have tried complimentary Sabzi plate, Zafron Special, Grilled Chicken Wings, Khoresh Badenjoon and Lubia Polo. I will describe them detailly below. 1. Sabzi: sliced tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, walnuts, herbs, feta. Served with perfectly baked Naan 2. Zafron Special: an interesting app with mashed eggplant, diced mango, chopped green onions, herbs, and chili oil. Had a refreshing heat and sweetness. Perhaps the spiciest dish I've ever had in Persian restaurants! 3. Wings: I have tried the wings in Delbar, Divan and Yalda before, but Zafron's were just next-level. Perfectly coated in Saffron marinade, nicely charred, amazingly crispy skin and juicy meat. The side sauce was sweet and slightly spicy, whcih paired well with the wings. 4. Khoresh Badenjoon: Basically beef, eggplant and tomato stew. Compared to the similar items in Rumi's, Delbar and Sufi's, this one has the boldest flavor. It does not have beans (so good for a FODMAP control diet) and used lots of dried limes and (whole) cardamoms, which created a very bright, sour base. Compared to Rumi's and Sufi's version, this one also had more, and larger chunks of beef, which gave more texture when you take a bite. The eggplant was delicious, but I wish it could be skin-on like the one in Delbar. 5. Lubia Polo: Basically green beans and diced beef cooked with rice. I only had Lubia Polo in Rumi's Sandy Springs before. In comparison, this one had more beef, and slightly less salty, but did not have as much tomato paste. **Note** the comparisons are only for the purpose of a clearer description of the dishes. For service, the waiting time for both food and check were reasonable, and the staff were all friendly. During my second visit my server gave me 0.5lb of baked naan and extra Sabzi when I asked for a to-go box for just the leftovers... For vibe, it was quieter than many other popular Persian restaurants (but I like more noise haha), and thus walk-ins are possible. The trees inside the restaurant were beautiful. In short, highly recommended. I will definitely visit again to discover more dishes!
