My boyfriend and I were browsing and watching hairstyling demos because he was looking for curling products. We were calm, respectful, and not doing anything disruptive. Yes, we were carrying shopping bags from other stores since we had already been shopping at the mall -- which is completely normal. However, instead of speaking to us or handling things discreetly, a staff member hovered around us and then brought a security guard directly into our personal space, positioning him right behind us. I literally said out loud, "No way they brought a security guard," and only then did the guard step away slightly. That alone shows how unnecessarily close and uncomfortable the situation had become. I also used to work in retail when I was younger, and I understand loss prevention. When there is a concern, it is always handled subtly and respectfully -- not in a way that makes customers feel watched, embarrassed, or targeted. This approach was the opposite of that. If carrying shopping bags is enough to warrant this level of surveillance, that is very concerning. The entire interaction felt intrusive and humiliating and completely ruined what should have been a relaxed shopping experience. I expect better from Sephora, especially at a major mall location. This situation should be addressed.

I asked for a spa experience and she really delivered. I enjoyed the massage intensely. She didn't rush and took her time. She spent what felt like at least 20 minutes massaging my face, neck and declotage area. I appreciate her effort. The only part that I felt was a downside was the awkward silences while waiting for the masks. If you don't mind chilling for 10 mins you'll be fine but my mind kept racing because I get restless. Then she tried to scam me with only doing 30 mins reflexology plus a 5 min foot soak. It is supposed to be 50 min as well. When I asked her why it was short, she tried to give me some bs that the last time I was there longer. WTH is that?!! I'm not stupid, I can tell time! I was only there 1 hour and 30 mins including the time for me to get dressed and undressed plus use the washroom.. 2 x 50 mins = 1 hour 40 mins so I definitely felt ripped off and will never return again. Also she answers the phone in between and runs out to see people so that is not acceptable and cuts into the treatment time. There are much better wellness places that actually give great service and don't skim on the time. PS she requests to be paid in cash too hmmm
