It was my first time to have a 60 min massage here. Once I stepped into the spa, the ambience was very comfortable and interior design looked professional. Two staff at the front took care of me and my husband as we booked the massage together. One of the two staff used a thermometer to check our body temperature and asked if we would like to go to washroom first. My husband filled out a Covid form online but I did mine in person at the front. It was quick and easy. Two female massagers came out greeting us and bringing us to a room. Each of us got our own room. Spa music was on. It was very comfortable and they dimmed the light. My massager was called Sonia. She was great and professional. She asked how much pressure I could handle. I requested to start with light. She said my muscles were very tight. She gave me a massage on the upper part of the body first and then the lower part. Some of the spots were a bit painful but I expected it. The whole massage experience was very satisfied. I would recommend the service to others. read more

I chose the 90 minute Bliss package and I didn't want to leave! I had a full body massage for an hour with some extra emphasis on the shoulders and back. The pressure was just right for a more relaxation style massage but also firm enough to feel like some tension was released. This was followed by a lovely facial. I would say Sabai Thai is COVID proof. Before you even enter the front door, your temperature will be taken and you will be ask 2 questions. 1st "have you been outside of Canada in the last 14 days", 2nd "have you been in contact with someone who tested positive with COVID". If this is your first time in this location, you will receive a COVID declaration form in your Inbox. You have to complete the form before going for your service/treatment. You should also wear a mask when in the spa premises. This location of Sabai Thai is fairly new. They opened June 2020 if I remember correctly. The premises is very clean. The massage rooms were the right size. Not too big not too small. There are hooks and hangers for your clothes and purse. The music playing is of the right volume and very relaxing to the ears. The first time I came here I had the 60-minute Thai Foot Message with Sonia. Sonia was very sweet. She gave me an overview of what Thai foot massage is. She mentioned that this type of massage is very relaxing and painless. Sonia applied just the right amount of pressure. The massage ended with a head/scalp massage. I am not sure if it was part of the package but it's surely pleasurable. I highly recommend Sonia. My second time here was with Jum. The service I bought was the 90-minute Pure Serenity Spa Package. This package includes full-body massage custom organic facial(the facial depends on your skin-type), eye-brightening treatment and my favourite Thai foot massage. Before she even started with the massage, Jum asked what kind of pressure I prefer and she would check every now and then until the session is over. I think I almost fell as sleep during the massage. From the time entering this quaint Sabai Thai location in the New Westminster Quay with its super high ceilings, one got a sense of Tranquility .. we were offered warm Ginger tea with honey and it was much appreciated given the sudden coldness in the air.. this is the second location that we've personally tried with the first being the flagship Coal Harbour.. we booked a couples massage and the two masseuses greeted us and it was comforting to know that they were indeed Thai..we walked j to separate rooms that had a common wall that would later on be retracted.. the beds are heated if one wishes but I prefer the cold, myself.. my Masseuse got to work on me and checking in on my time to time to make sure that the pressure was just right for me and of which it was and in a blink of the eye, my time was done..90 minutes having received the Gentleman's package .. as since this was a gift, all I had to do was take care of the taxes and gratuities.. just as a side note, if you see a package that you like, you can either pay that package as is or go into any of their locations and get a nice discount that would take care of a box of Ginger Lemon & honey tea bags read more

Went May 30th with hubby for 60 minute massage.... only got 45 minutes before technician left the room. No questions asked as far as what I wanted as far as type of massage or any areas to avoid or focus on. Told Sophia that massage was purchased fo 1 hour so since was dressed, she did some very painful and unrequested stretches which included touching in the pubic area and telling me this was what I needed. Left what supposed to be a spa day crying as I was so upset. My hubby was there as well with another technician and certainly did not have these issues. I booked the Pure Serenity package that was on promotion with my sisters and had a wonderful first visit at this spa this afternoon. I was immediately impressed with how clean it was upon arrival. The staff are very well-trained and organized, especially with the Covid protocols that they strictly enforce at the spa which gave me a peace of mind. I have been to other spas before and this one is the best I have ever been too. Everyone is extremely courteous, friendly, professional and polite. My therapist, Sophia, gave me the best massage I ever had and even better than the ones that I have received from RMTs. She made me feel at ease and we had a very pleasant conversation about her professional background, her professional training as a RMT in Australia, her international experiences and her husband. She was able to detect that I must work in front of the computer (I do indeed work in an office and have been working remotely from home since March 2020 as a result of the current health situation) and fix the existing problems that I had with the tension in my neck, shoulder and back areas exactly if not even better than the RMTs I have gone to in the past! I don't think I have had a better massage than I did before I met Sophia. RMTs only pinpoint the areas that need to be worked on, whereas, I received a full body massage from head to toe. She also gave me a very nice and relaxing facial that I thoroughly enjoyed which was part of the package.
