It was the reception person who asked. ----- Somehow I lost my original review when I updated it in response to business owner reply. Rewriting it with my comments to business owner response. The therapist was good. I did a session (50 mins) of foot reflexology. The place gets crowded in the evening compared to afternoon so it will be best to make an appointment. The downside of this place is that it only accepts cash or debit. This is not communicated anywhere in the shop, or if it is, it is not in a prominent place like you see in other shops. So bring lots of cash, especially if you are keen to sign up for vip membership ($400). Two things I didn't particularly care for: 1. Receptionist asking for tips when I had already tipped the therapist directly. Has tipping become mandatory? 2. Receptionist telling me I MUST give my name and contact when I asked for a receipt since I paid cash. I didn't realize it was a handwritten receipt. And my name and contact were also written down in their log book. (Business owner replied it was an option not mandatory. My experience was it was mandatory as I asked if I could don't leave my contact info.) basically I felt the whole thing was strange. Oh and I should also note that it was not quiet when you allowed other customers to watch videos or something on their phones. read more

We've visited this location on several occasions and continue to return because of their consistent performance and the value. For about $40, you get a 50min reflexology massage from registered therapists who know what they're doing. On this visit, the pressure was good and he spent time on the nagging spots on my feet. I had Justin today for my reflexology and it was the best experience I've had! I've been to a few Big Feet locations and he definitely was the best. His over all pressure was good, he took extra time on pressure points/areas that were tighter. I would highly recommend this location and I'll return back for another service by Justin. It is my first time at big feet today . The guy massaged my feet constantly answered the phone as there was no receptionist available. Sometimes he only used his right hand on my feet and left hand held the phone or both hands off my feet when he booked appointment for customers. He answered at least 6 phone calls during the 50 minutes feet massage and not felt sorry at alI. I am not happy with the service and it is less than 50 minutes excluding the time he was on the phone. By the time I paid $40 dollars he asked for tip. I don't have change therefore I gave him a $20 bill. He gave me $10 back. I asked him if he charges $10 as tip. He said the other customer paid $10 as tip. I told him that I would like to pay $5 . Give the quality of service I am very reluctant to pay tip at all. He searched his wallet then said he had no change. He finally borrowed the change and gave it to me. When I asked for a receipt, he requested to write down my name and number on the log book and the receipt. My session is at 5pm, Sep 1, 2018. I provided this information per big feet owner's request in the comments to my review. I am sure you can find out the therapist's name based on your customer log. He wrote my name and number on the log after I asked for a receipt. read more

I like Big Feet - I believe this is one of their "franchised" locations (along with their Coquitlam location) but it's all good and the feel is the same. This is a far newer branch and also more spacious and clean than their Richmond or Victoria drive locations. That being said, it is a little too quiet and stuffy (still air) for my liking, and being that it's so quiet, you can pretty much hear any conversation in the unit. On the plus side, the accupressurists and reflexologists are probably not as tired as other locations, so if you like your massages a little firmer or painful, this is the place! read more

I went in to treat my mother and grandmother a full body massage (which was inexpensive ($40 + tip for 55 minutes). At first, it was a little bit uncomfortable, as I did not expect to take off all my clothes except the underwear (in my previous experiences in other locations, I was given a paper gown), but the overall experience was good. Although the massage on the legs was a bit painful, I'd say the treatment was pretty relaxing - I even temporarily fell asleep a couple of times. My mother and grandmother were also both satisfied with the services they received. I also appreciate the fact they are open until pretty late (10pm). I have had the chance to try out almost every care provider that works at this bigfeet location and though most are good there are a select number that I beleive have a passion for their work and enjoy helping people like me who suffer daily with chronic pain. The best employee at this location is hands down MEI. If your lucky enough to book her she is a wonderful person and on her way to becoming an RMT. Having all her specialties combined makes her unique and exquisite. Other great employees are Amy, Ton, and Sophie. Please avoid this location (Edmonds) at all costs. One of the massage therapists, James; he was extremely unprofessional. I believe he crossed boundaries in his massage techniques and solely concentrated on areas i specifically told him not to touch ie. My lower back/buttocks. It seemed as if he was trying to get a free rubs. As disgusting as it sounds, i left there confused and after talking to people around me, i realised that he definitely crossed boundaries . Regretfully i didn't inform the staff there because they seemed to speak in their native language the whole time, yelling to each other during the massages. I will definitely NEVER recommend this location. Charlie is a great foot massager but I definitely will carefully choose a massage therapist carefully in the near future. read more

I didn't know I signed up for acupressure massage I thought it'd be a normal relaxing spa massage, boy was I wrong. My friend convinced me to go with him to get this done and I had no idea what I was stepping into.. most painful experience in my life.. I'd choose a root canal than endure this again. the masseuse didn't speak english so there was a language barrier. Anyways scariest massage of my life.. boy did she put her back and weight into it..my entire back, buttocks, and calves are sore and bruised.. There are no ceilings to the rooms just doors and walls that divide them so you can hear what's going on next door, reception area, and everything/everyone.. the towel that the masseuse had placed on my back seemed stained and dirty... so that was also uncomfortable.. what I didn't like about this besides the pain was also how the masseuse used her nails to massage my shoulders and neck..that left me with scratch marks, she kept yawning and I don't want to be rude but she had b.o.. it was a very distracting, painful, and smelly experience.. Will I be back, probably not.. it's not my cup of tea but I'm sure if that's what you're looking for if you have muscle spasms or into this its not a bad price @ $40 an hour. read more

I go this facility a lot, but only because I live close. If there were others closer, I would switch. Overall, its ok. It can be hit and miss with the quality of the massage. If the masseuse doesn't speak English, then you are stuck with whatever quality you get. The staff are always yelling at each through the walls. Without fail, you will be on a table and the masseuse will be shouting at other staff in the building. I suppose the price makes up for these annoyances. The thing that really did bother me was that I was offered a 20% off VIP card. Sure, I'll take it. But they would only accept cash for this. Even though I can pay for service with credit card. I do not carry that kind of cash around, so I was not able to make this purchase. That really was bothersome, especially when we are all encouraged to use touchless payments, much as a credit card. And as a client who attends this faculty as often as do, VIP would be appreciated. read more

I have use this brand before on Victoria Street in Vancouver with my wife and was very happy, however I just left their location in Burnaby very dissatisfied. I had about 15 minutes that I endured and I tried to communicate with the masseuse but I felt like he was just playing with my feet while he was looking on his cell phone as he thought I was sleeping. The whole time he was massaging with one hand while flipping pages with his other hand on his cell phone. When I stood up to leave and told the receptions that it was the worst 15 minutes of a foot massage I ever had... She failed to take care of the issue and proceeded to charge me $20 cash for those 15 minutes and although she had my cell number from my booking she didn't have the afterthought to call me and figure out what went wrong. There are a lot of foot massage places and needless to say they now lost me as a customer. They could have turned a negative experience into a positive, but instead they lost a consistent customer. read more
