I've been to many different walk in foot massage places in the past few years and if you haven't tried one I highly recommend it for better circulation, stimulation and relaxation for your tired feet. Out of all of my experiences by far this studio is the nicest. It's clean, spacious and beautiful with marble flooring. The staff are well trained and pleasant. I purchased a reflexology session not expecting a shoulder massage before she got started on my feet. Wow!!! So amazing!! My practitioner was tiny but had magical hands and strong fingers which I needed to get into my knots and tension. She actually did real reflexology mixed with acupressure. I love it here. Their is a sweet aromatherapy scent in the air. Im a stickler for ambiance, something other places don't always have. Some look run down and smell dusty and musty. I give Royal feet a thumbs up for cleanliness , ambiance and skilled practitioners. First time is 49$ for locals and you get a neck massage too, for 50 minutes. Well worth it!!! If I could, I would rate them ZERO star!!! DO NOT come to this place provided you want to waste your money!! My hubby and I had nothing to do on long weekend. We decided to find a good place to pamper ourselves. I found Royal Feet on Yelp with good reviews and phoned them for booking the appointment. We thought we were so lucky to get foot massage an hour and half later after I called. When I walked, they were extremely busy. I took a picture at waiting area (front desk), the front desk woman (I guess she is the owner) stared and shouted at me "What are you doing?" and "Why you're taking picture?" WT.... don't you know what is customer service? Never yell at your customer! I got so pissed off! I asked her would they honour the Yelp promotion - $33 for first trial or their own website promotion - $36 for first time visit. She said, they didn't do anymore and couldn't remove it on Yelp or their own website! Seriously???!! OK! Never mind! I don't mind to pay full price for an hour massage if it's good one! We got seated in tiny room and cozy chair. Our technicians came without smile and greeting. They were NOT train to do massage at all. They just rubbed our legs instead of massaging. I opted for the foot reflexology massage, which I'm assuming is the specialty given the name of the business. The foot massage was done in a shared room that was dark and quiet in a good way, good for relaxing. The massuse had good, strong hands. They loosened up the tight muscles in my neck and shoulders in the first fifteen minutes, before shifting focus to my feet. I appreciate that they were communicative and made sure I was comfortable. I've been to Royal Feet several times. It's true Asian acupressure. Meaning if you're not crying from the pressure, it wasn't done right. I come here after skiing, to get my tight back and hip/leg muscles worked over. It's great! Very very effective staff. I go to the Four Seasons Whistler to do the frou Swedish relaxation massage, with aromatherapy, quiet lounges, steam rooms and the outdoor pools. But I always come back here for a muscle de-knotting. Helps if you can speak mandarin. Otherwise, your masseuse has no clue what you want. I buy packs of 10, it's $39/session! As of March 2015, I saw 1 Caucasian masseuse and 1 Caucasian receptionist working. read more

I would most definitely not recommend Royal Feet for a massage. I had a massage there about a month back. Afterwards, I was feeling incredibly sore and had various bruises on my body from it. It felt as though the masseuse had little to no experience, and it was a very unpleasant massage. Despite telling him at least half a dozen times that the pressure was too much, he continued with the same pressure, until I couldn't stand it anymore, and actually cried out in pain. At one point, he even drummed his hands on my head, as though it was a bongo drum. The whole massage felt very disjointed, and prodding, not at all enjoyable, or relaxing. I have had many RMT, deep tissue, and acupressure massages before, even one at previously at Royal Feet, but I have never experienced something like this before. I am still experiencing pain in my lower back/sciatic area, when I never even had pain there before this massage. I even gave Royal Feet the benefit of the doubt, and sent an email similar to this review, and received no response. Not even a simple, I'm sorry you had a bad experience. Do not go there. I know it seems like a good idea because their prices are so good, but it will not be worth it. I promise. read more

My husband and i went to try Royal Feet out for the first time. I called in advance and confirmed a time for a body massage but when we got there they insisted that we get foot massages. After mass confusion and being guided in and out of several rooms and a lot of yelling to eachtother, we were put in the couples room. The place was clean but very loud and chatty from the employees. My husband said his massage was terrible. It was like he kept getting punched/pounded for the entire hour. He gave it a 4/10 rating at best. My 'therapist', Ivy applied way to much pressure. I had to ask her about 10 times to ease off and that it was too hard. She just laughed and i don't think she understood what i was saying. The massage hurt and i was actually bruised on my lower back for 4 days. She clearly isn't aware that a hard deep massage isn't always good. She put way to much pressure on my lower back/small muscle groups which was not good and had no benefit at all. The massage was not enjoyable and was only $30 as first time customers...but i guess I got what I paid for. We won't be back...ever. read more

The reception/owner was super rude on the phone and in person. We asked for an afternoon appointment and were told that they prefered mornings so we changed our appointment to 11AM. After we changed the appointment, she hung up abruptly. Despite this we figured we try it out anyways having walked by it several times. When we arrived she refused to honour the first visit promotion as posted on the website because we did not discuss it when booking. We showed her their website which does not specify that we needed to mention. We refused to acknowledge this and stated that it normally does say to mention when booking. That aside, she then argued that the first visit discount was only for locals. My friend and I are in the area almost every weekend and notice the sign when walking. We also live only 15 minutes away but we're told that we would not be considered locale enough. We promptly decided to leave and go elsewhere. I would not recommend going here if you value your time and self respect. The owner will demean you and frankly could care less about your business . read more

I have had nothing but great experiences at Royal Feet. I just had my 4th massage this afternoon. You can get an appointment at almost any time of day with very little notice. I find all the technicians equally competent and the massage provided is better than most RMTs I've been to. The massages are suitable for those who are looking for deep tissue. It is not a relaxing experience, it can often hurt, but it gets the job done if you have back issues. Royal Feet is very clean, and well priced! read more

This place does a PROPER job at a foot massage. They definitely pay attention to details. Unlike other "reflexology" places which end up resembling like a weak foot rub, the masseuses have fantastic technique and get into pressure points you didn't know you had! You also get a phenomenal shoulder massage while your feet are soaking. I highly recommend Victor or Adam if you're looking for strong hands. The chairs are comfy and the room is nice and dim. Though I'd love to give them a perfect 5 star rating, the owner can be brash and rude. We called them to let them know we might be a tad late because we were stuck in traffic. Basically got scolded for even calling to let them know; she made it seem like she was doing US a favour by accepting our business. Not a great first impression that's for sure. Even despite that, I'll be going back for the amazing masseuses there. read more

Hi , I have been going here for a few months now. As does my husband. I am postig this as I think it is unfair to Royal Feet to have a lower rating based on reviews from so long ago. SO : To be clear, I am very happy with the service and the cleanliness, and find everyone to be polite and friendly. Maybe they listened to those complaints from a few years ago? AND, what I found works best is to tell the receptionist before you go in,at the front desk, what you need, "arms, legs, back, no face, legs back and front" (They usually ask anyway :-) Also, I say that I am not going to chat as I need to relax. Chatting is not a problem anyway as most masseuses there do not speak much English, but they all understand too much, more please, and thank you. YOU just need to request or how else do they know what you like? The strong massage for one is not for the other etc. I have found everyone to be nice and helpful. I also use a RMT one time per week as I am a competitive athlete who works out 15-ish hours per week, and need the quicker recovery I get from a massage. I love the price and service at this place ! They have this promotion: $30 for 55min for first timers. This is an amazing deal. While your feet are soaking in the water, they will give you a neck and shoulder massage! I loved the friendly service. I was brought into a room with comfortable chairs. They gave me the remote so I could change the channels on the wide screen tv and a lovely cup of tea. The massage therapists there know exactly what they are doing. They don't talk much but that is good because I don't like talking during a massage. I also noticed that they don't spend time staring at the clock, like most places do. You can request them to give you a deep tissue foot massage. I did and I admit, it really hurt, but at the same time, it was a good kind of pain. I loved it. I would definitely go there and bring my friends. I've been to Royal Feet several times, and although the reflexology/body massage are good I always found annoying to have the massage done by the owner (Jady) since she interrupted it for many times to talk on the phone. So I was happy to know that now she hired 2 receptionists (no more interruptions!!!!) however last Saturday I was really disappointed with the owner lack of professionalism. I had booked 30 min reflexology + 1 hour body massage for 2 people. During the week, one of the receptionists called me to talk about a promotion - two for one. I asked if that was valid for already booked appointments and she said yes and that she was going to add a note to my appointment. We got there on Saturday and the first thing that bothered me is that Jady pretended not know about the promotion. So I had to "remind" her. I thought it was a bit odd. We got our feet massage, good as usual, but when I said we were ready for the "second part" of the treatment, she played dumb and said there wasn't one. I was REALLY disappointed and then to justify she showed that my appointment had been changed (by whom???) so I had just the reflexology. Someone has over-written the hours so I was done for the day... My guess is that she did not want to give away the second body massage and I would have agreed and would have been pleased to pay for it, just knowing I already got a deal with the second person reflexology for free. Originally, when I booked the appointment I was prepared to pay for both treatment for both people. I thought it was very unprofessional and not very friendly, mainly considering I was a regular costumer. read more

There is this guy from Beijing who keeps talking while massaging but you can see his sneaky side of massage as I literally felt nothing. I've had three massages here in the past 3 months - one foot massage and two 'body' massages. I first decided to try this place based on a friend's review of it, though that friend won't go to Royal Feet anymore. My foot massage was not worth paying for, in fact I could have done a better job myself. I liked the unadulterated foot soak solution and oil, but the technician was more interested in giving his opinions on the superiority of the Chinese over North Americans, than doing his job. For almost an hour, I had to keep reminding him to pay attention to my feet. The so-called body massages were actually just BACK massages with an oily nod to the backs of my legs. I did get very good attention to the knots in my back and the deep massage that I asked for. Both times the technician focussed on the worst of my knots, so I was glad to see that they assessed each situation individually. I'm not sure why the friend who went for 4 massages won't go there anymore - he just wrinkles his nose and says he doesn't trust their cleanliness. I don't feel they're very clean either, but it's just little things like when I first when in for my foot massage appointment and the area hadn't been cleaned from the last client. The technician cleared away the debris in front of me while I stood waiting. Also, they use chemical scent in their linens which can be a crafty way of obscuring signs of unscrupulous housecleaning. I'll probably go back but am still looking for someplace I really like. read more

This place is super tiny and extremely noisy. You go into this little room that doesn't have a door and is very close to the front desk. So anyone coming in or any phone call or anytime the staff talks its as if they are talking right in the room with you. I complained many times while I was doing the massage but nothing changed-it kept on getting louder. The room was also very dark and claustrophobic- no windows and very dark. It was the most unrelaxing experience ever. They also took forever to honor the first time deal apparently we had to give them a heads up way in advance which doesn't make sense at all as when we walked in they knew we were knew and didn't even ask us one question. On top of that, the actual foot massage was below average so I definitely do not recommend this place at all. Save your money and pay an extra 10 dollars to go get a better foot massage in a more quite, professional, and relaxing atmosphere. read more
