Updated review (May 8th, '24): I went in for an appointment on May 7th to see Celia for fire cupping. This was my first experience with fire cupping so I wasn't completely sure what to expect and it was also my first time meeting Celia. Celia is so wonderful. The vibe from her felt very gentle and knowledgeable, and committed to help with the concerns I had. She provided me with some information before and after the appt which was wonderful and she asked me what my concerns were/what I wanted to focus on for the appt. It felt easy to speak to her and ask questions which is great. I can say that I felt so much better the next day from the treatment I had which is always great knowing that it's working. This is a really nice clinic. Very clean, zen and upscale for being a provider of paramedical services. I saw a naturopath and RMT. Both were professional and did a good job. The location has free parking in the attached parkade and is close to Gilmore skytrain. The only reason I took one star off is because they don't offer direct billing. For being a modern clinic, that was super disappointing because almost everywhere offers that now. Hopefully they offer it in the future as that will be an enticing reason to return. Pricing was within my plan maximums for the two services I received. Chiro services were recommended by the RMT but the pricing here is double the RCM for my work benefits. Wasn't willing to make the splurge although the reviews seem to be great. read more

I have been going to AIM over the last few years.  I have seen Rufina Huang (Accupuncture), Dr. Amber Eckel (Chiropracter) and Dr. Courtney Campbell (Naturopath).  All I can say is that they are amazing.  When I first started seeing them I had many tight muscles, a couple minor leg injuries and some health issues.  Each of them took their time to get to know me and what I wanted/needed to work on.   No matter which practitioner I saw, they each took their time each visit to talk and find out what has been working and where I am out now.  The injuries and tight muscles I have now are all gone now.  My health issues have all been sorted.  They are caring, friendly and are very supportive in helping you achieve your goals.   One of my goals was to complete a marathon.  I am happy to say with their help and guidance I was able to achieve this goal and then continue on to complete another marathon.  I would highly recommend Aurora Integrative Medicine as they truly do go above and beyond for their patients. read more

I chose Aurora Integrative Medical because they had good reviews. My one complaint that I must make is the receptionist is very unwelcoming, rude and unfriendly. Like what's the the attitude? It definitely makes for a less pleasant experience overall. This establishment would be much better without people like this at the front desk. I started seeing Dr. Courtney in April for a few different things. One of my problems was boosting my immune system. I had been getting sick every month for the last 8 or so months since seeing Dr. Courtney I have been feeling great and haven't caught a cold yet even with the season change! I had to email Dr. Courtney within the first couple weeks explaining how I was feeling with the supplements and the IV therapy and she had responded super quickly! I felt like she really cared, wanted to help me get better and felt supported along my journey! I've been a continuous patient at AIM since it opened in 2012. The staff and practitioners are all outstanding and provide a truly welcoming and warm environment. I've been going to AIM for about 3 (maybe 4) years and it's changed my life in so many unbelievable ways. I was recommended to make an appointment with Zuzana Friedmann for a Functional Blood Test and it was life-changing! Zuzana was incredibly friendly, very professional, and was a well of information. She showed me very clearly how my blood was behaving and functioning and explained to me how my diet or lifestyle was affecting the health of my blood. Zuzana would ask questions or make comments that made me pause, "was she psychic? how did she know I felt that way, or had that issue!" she knew, because of what my blood was saying. I was shocked (in the most thought-provoking, positive way, ever!). Zuzana recommended either certain supplements and/or lifestyle changes to help improve the health of my blood; after all, blood runs through your entire system - why wouldn't you want it to be healthy and clean? Ever since seeing Zuzana that first time, I've continued to see her on a semi-regular basis (about once a quarter, or at least 3 times a year) for a quick check. Every single time I'm impressed with how her recommendations have improved the health of my blood or how much better I feel each day. I used to be notorious for always being sick with a cough, cold, or flu. I can count on one hand (maybe even just two fingers) how many times I've been sick in the past 3+ years! The advice Zuzana (along with Dr. Courtney) have given me has changed my life. Everyone should make a point of visiting AIM and having this test done. I had never been to a chiropractor before Amber and to be honest I was a little intimated about the idea of someone cracking my neck (we all have heard the horror stories before). However, it has been an amazing 1.5 years and I have been a regular patient of Dr. Amber Eckel since.. one could say addicted! Amber has so much passion for her career and is continuously training, attending classes/seminars and teaching students to ensure that she is ahead of the game and impacting her field of expertise. She is extremely friendly and welcoming as well. May I add she volunteers at crossfit competitions in her spare time! When I explain about the detail and care she gives to myself every appointment I have, people are shocked. She adjusts multiple areas, massages, stretches, cups, uses tools, provides me with exercises and most importantly ensures that she addresses any areas that are in pain. Many people get the "in and out" treatment, but trust me, with Amber you will not get that feeling ever! I have been going to see Amber Eckel for a few years now and she is amazing. Always so kind and friendly. I was always a little intimidated by chiropractors because the thought of someone cracking my neck scared me a little but I feel completely safe in her hands. She always listens when I tell her what areas of my body are hurting or not feeling quite right and makes sure to address those areas for me. What I really appreciate is that she doesn't ask me to come back every couple weeks if she doesn't feel its necessary, she's even told me that I don't need to come back for 2 months unless I feel like I need an adjustment. Knowing that I had to fill out a detailed form at my first visit, I deliberately arrived 10 minutes early for my 3pm 60 minute RMT session with Sorrel. It wasn't until 3:15pm when Sorrel came out to greet me. We spent maybe 5 minutes doing a brief consultation; the actual massage didn't start until approx 3:20pm. The massage was mediocre at best; none of my problem areas were addressed. She was very slow and her moves felt like they had no purpose. It was almost as if she was waiting for time to pass. At approx 3:50pm, Sorrel told me that the massage was over and that she was going to teach me some stretches. I spent the last 10 minutes of my session doing self foam roller stretches. If I can be honest, the foam roller provided more relief than the actual massage. While advice and demonstration on foam roller stretching is appreciated, my purpose being there was to receive a massage since I am unable to give myself one. At the end, she asked if I would like to purchase a foam roller. When I went to pay for my visit, I was shocked that I was going to be charged for a full 60 minute RMT session. It wasn't until I had to remind the receptionist that Sorrel was late 15 minutes, that's when she revised the invoice to a 45 minute session. It's quite infuriating to think that I was going to be charged $108 for a 30 minute mediocre massage. read more

The massage therapist at this clinic Sorrel Adams is as good as it gets! She is super thorough and goes above and beyond. I started seeing her over 3 years ago and she has never once given me a poor treatment. If you are in need of a massage I would definitely recommend going to see Sorrel. I have been seeing Dr. Campbell for a few months for a host of issues from digestion to infertility. During my first appointment, as she was extensively reviewing all my symptoms and I started to get down thinking that I was untreatable. She got this tinkle in her eye and exclaimed that she was so excited because I was going to be feeling so much better very soon! She wasn't wrong! Through blood tests it was discovered that I had food allergies and they were messing up my entire body (goodbye dairy & eggs!) and my medical Dr. had never, ever suggested I get tested for food allergies. I heard about Functional Blood Testing from a coworker who found it was a great way to "see" what was going on in his body. I am all about trying to find the best ways to fuel and heal myself so I looked in to the testing and booked an appointment with Jordan. It was an excellent tool to confirm some things I suspected were going on in my body and learn about other areas I need to work on. The test was painless and I found it fascinating to be able to see what my cells looked like and what they were doing. I had an appointment today for a massage with RMT Jennifer and she is amazing! The facility itself is clean, welcoming with a subtle scent that invites you in without being overpowering. I completed the intake form and as soon as I was done Jennifer welcomed me into her space. From the moment she began I could feel her strength (I wanted deep tissue) and was impressed by her ability to read my body so well. I originally came in with stiffness/soreness in my back & shoulders but she followed the tension into my lower back, front neck, arms and even my jaw. While there were some pretty "ouchie" moments the overall feeling of incredible wellness when I left was an amazing experience. Jennifer is absolutely brilliant! The only reason that I was unable to give the facility 5 stars is because I have only used ine if their services (they have many to offer) and the fact that I ambuble to get another appointment with Jennifer for 3 months. That isn't really a flaw but it is a bit of a drawback. I highly recommend giving this place a try ... I plan to try accupuncture next! read more
