However, Sonya eased all of my fears with her caring demeanor, knowledge, and professionalism. I was suffering from depression and some other ailments and Sonya listened intently and I felt like she really took the time to understand me and everything I was going through on an incredibly deep level. The amount of follow-up care she offers is outstanding, and she is always very prompt with replying to my emails when I have had a question about my treatment. I feel like myself again, and I owe a lot of that to Sonya choosing the right remedy and dosage for me. I would recommend Sonya to all of my friends and family and will definitely be seeing her again in the future when needed.

While I recognize the generous time Sonya spends with the initial interview, her approach differs from what I have experienced in the past, including the results: unfortunately, none whatsoever this time. While I trust that Dr. McLeod may have a solid knowledge of the theory of the homeopathic remedies, keeping in mind that the diagnosis requires a degree of intuition and psychology, I consider that she failed to apply much of the latter. Her "take" on my possible underlying condition that would be based on the personality profile she attributed to me [which in turn called for the corresponding remedy she thought was necessary] this "take", was totally off. I would thus hesitate to recommend Sonya. Maybe other people have been more lucky. Or maybe some people may make allowance for trials and errors. Unless my odd symptoms are not within the purview of homeopathy. So, the three stars are for this practitioner's obvious good intentions and her efforts at documenting everything through a long initial interview - which I suspect may not have allowed for adequate listening and proper reading between the lines.

"How serious are you in making a lifestyle change?" was the question on the form at the doctor's…read moreoffice. OVERVIEW: When a good friend refers you to a clinic that offers an alternative method of better health, you just have to see for yourself. The funny thing is that the "alternative method" should have been the norm because Springs Eternal deals with naturopathic medicine. On a broad sense, this means that they focus on natural remedies coupled with the body's ability to heal and maintain itself while avoiding evasive methods like drugs and surgery. WHO: The clinic is run by a soft-spoken couple (each with their own specialties) whom both have a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine giving them an "ND" designation rather than an "MD". AILMENTS: They deal with a wide array of conditions from allergies/asthma, detox/cleansing, and anything else that deals with making your body function better. TREATMENTS: No antibiotics here that puts your system out of whack and kills the good bacteria along with it. We're talking about acupuncture, hydrotherapy and homeopathy which means herbs and natural supplements to bring your body into healing itself. CONSULTATION: It's a one-hour consultation for the very first visit. You fill out a form detailing your present health and conditions. At CAD140.00, I damn right made sure to list everything I can think of about my health. The doctor goes thru the form and then discusses everything in your life and weeds thru your past living and working conditions. From possible exposure to household paint and chemicals to how much metals your body may have ingested including the amalgam your dentist put on your teeth. COST: Because it's an alternative approach this means that MSP will not cover the cost of clinic visits nor will Pharmacare cover the cost of supplements. Until this is a widely accepted form of treatment in the medical community extended insurance is the only option. THE FUTURE OF MEDICINE: Until the government includes this as part of basic medical coverage or I win the lottery (whichever comes first, really) it's not something I can continue doing. And let's just say your extended insurance will cover the cost of all office visits, you still have to deal with the cost of supplements which isn't covered. UNTIL THEN: All we can really do toward better health is what our parents have been saying. At least drinking red wine has health benefits. Now if only they make a positive study on poutine consumption.

My issue is this place has a pharmacy attached, multiple Dr's onsite and does medical procedures, yet all three receptionsists were unmasked and one didn't even have the plexi screen in front of their station. They also have sour attidudes, I would never mention how theres been an indoor PHO mask mandate for a month already so I honestly don't know why the desk dragons are so grumpy. Also, Iv's are given in the back next to the vault and an older woman who worked there kept wandering around unmasked talking to staff and clients like me. This was my worst blood draw experience in 37 years. I've never had issues with needles or blood…read moredraws, but Rida Wang (ND) was remarkably inept compared to even the most mediocre phlebotomists and nurses I've encountered in the past. I thought it was weird that a naturopath was doing a blood draw, but figured she must know what she's doing if she's confident enough to offer it as a service and had a student shadowing her. Boy was I wrong. She took an unnecessarily large needle, dug and twisted it in my right arm every which way and somehow still failed to locate a vein while causing intense pain. I literally had to yell, "STOP!" She then switched over to my left arm and eventually managed to draw 2 tubes of blood, but not without significant discomfort. The veins in both of my arms ended up feeling like they were on fire and were heavily bruised. This was also the first blood draw where I've had someone take a pen to mark the corners of my vein so that she wouldn't "miss with the needle". After I complained about them on Google, Rida Wang sent a formal document to me saying that neither she nor her student noticed my discomfort, which I vigorously dispute. Are you telling me with your "20 years of experience", you can't even tell when a patient yells stop, that they're in pain? A true professional would have explained upfront that they weren't that experienced and either offered an alternative or asked if I'd be okay with them practicing on me. However, Rida Wang claims that she's a seasoned professional who has "over 200" blood draws under her belt. This really only made the matter worse because if she's done this over 200 times, then there's even less of an excuse to have missed the mark so terribly. The only solution they offered me was a complimentary 15 minute session with Rida Wang for the bruising -- but why would I want that from a person who couldn't even do a basic blood draw? The damage has already been done. How would a consultation help with anything? Finally, I have reason to believe they're withholding results for the blood test. It's been a month, and instead of simply delivering on the product I already paid over $600 for, they requested that I either sign a waiver or book an appointment with my original naturopath, Jean Wong. As my complaint is not about her, I informed the receptionist that I had no issues booking an appointment to get my results from her. They did not provide a clear response and instead said they were following up with the doctor for next steps. This seems like unprofessional and vindictive behaviour. Don't walk away from this place. RUN. I suffered at their hands and not only did I not receive an apology, I got a wall of deflection and gaslighting, completely devoid of empathy or accountability. Patient care is clearly not their priority here.
