Talented and friendly hair and makeup artist located in Union Square!…read more I was in search of bridal hair and makeup services back in October 2025. I reached out to many people, but Mei's husband, Robert, was the first person to respond to my inquiry and have availability for my wedding day. I paid a total of $475 for my hair and makeup trial and for my hair and makeup the day of my wedding. I did my hair and makeup trial in December 2025. I asked for a makeup look that was "me but fancier" and a simple low bun with face framing pieces. Mei listened and delivered with a natural makeup look and a cute bun that I absolutely loved. She made me feel extra beautiful. She even helped me start sewing the comb to my veil. I booked hair and makeup services for my wedding day after doing the trial with her. For the wedding hair and makeup, note that they may not be able to come to your hotel. Robert told me that they did not have a driver available to bring Mei to the hotel the day of my wedding, so I had to go to their studio. For me, this wasn't a big deal because my hotel was just a quick 2-stop bus ride down the street. I booked an 8 AM appointment for March 2026 and I arrived a little earlier. Mei was already there so we were able to start a little before 8 AM for my hair and makeup. She recreated the whole look from the trial flawlessly and even helped me place and pin my wedding veil. In total, it took about 1 hour for my hair and makeup. Mei's hands are very skillful and efficient, but gentle at the same time. My hair and makeup looked amazing in person and in the photos. I ended up crying a few times during my ceremony and reception, so I accidentally dislodged one false eyelash. That's OK though because it was easy to put it back on with the help of my friends and eyelash glue. Overall, I loved the service I received from Mei and highly recommend her to anyone looking for bridal hair and makeup in SF!

Is it possible to already know who you want your wedding HMUA to be before you are even engaged?…read moreYes! Jenn is one of those vendors. I knew Jenn was the one and was apprehensive that she wouldn't be able to fit me into her busy schedule, but I got lucky and she said yes (love you)! Jenn is an absolute a gem and AMAZING at her craft! My makeup and hair (especially my hair) was the talk of the night and I loved it so much. One of the things I loved most about Jenn was her patience with me. I am very particular and Jenn executed my vision just how I envisioned. She's a perfectionist herself so I had a lot of faith in her capabilities and boy did she deliver! She transformed me into a stunning bride and I felt so beautiful on my big day. My makeup was not cakey and did not melt off my face, it looked perfect even after 12+ hours of crying, smiling, and dancing. That says a lot about her skill and techniques. Another thing that I loved was the professionalism that her and her team provided. Throughout all the mayhem, the morning of the wedding, Jenn and her team were calm, cool, and collected. They are the kind of team you want on your side when you are freaking out at every little thing. Jenn was comforting and her assistants were just as friendly. My bridesmaids felt comfortable expressing what look they wanted and in the end, they all looked fantastic! After doing my makeup, Jenn even made time to do makeup for my mother-in-law which turned out incredible. You know your makeup artist is a winner when she's able to do the perfect natural look on mature skin. What more can I say about Jenn? I am truly in awe of her talent and would recommend her 1000%! BOOK her!

Jenn and I go way back, back to our teenage days when we were both wild and free (ok, maybe not the…read morewild part but you get what I mean). So as I was planning my wedding and the last on my list was to find a MUA, I was struggling a bit to find someone who #1, would be able to perform the service on my wedding date and #2, someone who I can trust to have them beautify me on my special day. My husband knew my struggles so he started asking family and friends around. One day, he went out to play poker with his friends and started talking about the wedding planning. One of his friends mentioned his girlfriend is a MUA and that maybe I could reach out to her for a consultation and quote. Little did I know, that girlfriend of his was Jenn!! A long time friend who I haven't seen for over 10+ years!! Long story short, I booked Jenn for a trial and her service on my wedding. I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day. Let me just say that Jenn is SUPER TALENTED. She knows exactly what makeup and hair will work with your face. She knows how to soften your features and make your eyes brighter. You only have to tell her what kind of look you want and she will exceed your expectations! Not only does she do amazing makeup, she can do gorgeous hairstyles as well. I had a "under the sea" themed wedding so I didn't want anything too over the top for my hair. She said let's go for a natural, flowy waves to match the theme. After the make up and hair was done, I was stoked to see myself in the mirror. It's was perfect, exactly to my imagination. Every single one of my friends and family loved it. They said I looked flawless and the makeup and hair lasted all day with no smudges or smears. Jenn is very professional when it comes to her work, and she is very approachable, super sweet, and honest. I felt very comfortable around her. She listens to your concerns and definitely delivers. It was the one of the best decisions I made and easily one of the best vendors I worked with for my wedding. Don't hesitate, book her now! Jenn is SO WORTH IT and you won't regret it! Xoxo Vickie

I booked Charlene as my hair and make up artist for my wedding in October 2022 and I must say that…read moreI am overwhelmingly impressed with her! As someone who does not do heavy make up on a daily basis, I was looking to have a natural look for my wedding - so that my groom, friends and family would recognize me. Charlene does just that by highlighting your natural beauty, making you look like a better version of yourself. A few weeks before my wedding day, I decided that I wanted to make some minor changes in my "look" so that I could look perfect on my big day. I emailed Charlene and discussed what changes I wanted to make and we set up a second trial which would be 2 days before my wedding day. During that trial, she NAILED the look I was going for and I felt super confident going into my wedding day! On the day of my wedding, Charlene went above and beyond what I expected of her. She and her assistant helped my whole bridal party look beautiful. Charlene made me look EVEN BETTER than I did on my first and second trial! My face was glowing and I thought I looked like an Instagram filter (lol) but it was all Charlene's beautiful make up! My favorite thing about Charlene was that besides doing my hair and make up, she assisted in a lot of other tasks during the morning of my big day. She helped me put my necklace on (see picture), carried my and the bridesmaids jackets while we were out getting photos taken, got water for me, helped me get seated in a chair while wearing my dress (this is very difficult!!), etc. all while she continuously touched up everyone's hair and make up! I had 3 bridesmaids, and Charlene was essentially like a 4th one. I could instantly tell that Charlene only had one objective in mind, and that was to make sure I was very very very happy. And indeed I was. Thank you so much Charlene for making my day so memorable! You are truly a superstar!

Throughout the pre-ceremony family and couple portraits, she stayed beside me, continuously touching up my makeup to ensure I looked my best. She was also incredibly efficient in transitioning me into my reception look so we can stay on schedule with our packed wedding timeline. My family, who is generally hard to please, was also thoroughly impressed with their hair and makeup, and couldn't stop raving about it to their friends. Then, for my wedding, I loved my hair and makeup once again, and the baby's breath Joyce put in my hair made me feel so pretty.
