I haven't received my clothing back just yet, but I do want to start off by saying I came in to this cleaners with a difficult task. I am seeing Beyoncé soon at her cowboy Carter tour and I needed my fake leather pants taken in. at first, I was worried they would say no which they did express that they probably wouldn't be able to fix my pants, but then they redirected me to at least put on the pants to see if there was something that they could do both of the ladies were super wonderful and said that they would be able to take in my pants. I will probably update my review once I get my items but I just want to say thank you so much for going out of your way to fix my pants that I need to take in for my Beyoncé concert because this concert is super important to me. so this review is to be continued. read more

I have brought them three maxi dresses for hemming in a merino stretch jersey, and they have done a fantastic job on each one! They also switched out the top-tight elastic on a pair of culottes for me, and it transformed them--they are so much more comfortable now! Their turnaround time is about a week and they do immaculate work! I highly recommend them for alterations! read more

TLDR; WARNING: terrible alterations on my wedding dress, body shaming, minimum refund. Would not recommend. I am so so so disappointed with the alterations to my wedding dress. This was all around a terrible experience. I write this review to warn other brides, because I wish I had never used S&K to alter my dress. It was close to the date I needed to leave, but they said they were able to do the alterations. I left my dress for a month and came back with a little under a week before I needed to leave. I came in, tried on the dress and it was puckered and rippled in the front chest area and on the side seams. The puckering was very noticeable. The chest area was asymmetrical and all around looked bad. I said I wasn't happy with the alterations and the woman said she could fix them. She asked me to come in the next day, which I did, and nothing was fixed. It was the same rippling and since it's a simple white dress, it was very noticeable. I again said I wasn't happy with the dress and she recommended padding the right breast cup area, with more than one piece of padding. I said that would make it more asymmetrical and make one breast look larger than the other. Then she began to body shame me and said maybe my breasts are differently sized and that was the issue. That blew my mind... I still can't believe she said that to me. My breasts are like any other person with breasts, and even if there is a slight difference, that's why you alter it to fit! That's the point right?! (My breasts are not abnormally different btw. Just in case I needed to clarify...) Then she suggested we just tape the dress to fix it. Again, what?! I could have taped it without altering it and it would have looked better. She suggested I wear my hair down to cover it... I paid for these alterations. I no longer feel confident in the way this dress looks and its a huge disappointment as I can't really fix it before I leave in 2 days. I am beyond disappointed and would NOT recommend this place. I paid upwards of $600 dollars for this alteration (including the hem) and I don't even want to wear this dress anymore, which was also expensive. She tried to pat me on the back and say she will fix it AFTER my wedding, and I can come in for a free cleaning? No thanks. I asked for a refund, and she wanted to refund my $65 on the original 600+ that I spent. I wanted to have them pay for the whole dress at this point because I don't even want to wear it anymore, but I was in tears at this point and could only manage to say, "are you kidding?" They ended up refunding $175... but that is a small dent in the overall cost of this terrible alteration and truly terrible experience. I was already feeling awful with how the dress looked and she made me feel like it was my fault and it was my body that was the issue. She kept saying she didn't know how the mistake happened and that she didn't touch the area I was pointing out, but I took before pictures and it looked way better. Look, I am a plus size woman; but if she was unable to fix the dress, she should have turned me away in the first place. To my other brides getting alteration, please be careful. I hope it works out better for you than it did for me. I hope you can keep that magical feeling you get when you find the right dress, because I lost mine with S&K. All of the regrets. Caveat: I don't feel great writing this review. This is a lose-lose situation all around. I want to support local businesses, but if I had read a review that described my experience (there is one on yelp that is similar) I would have thought twice before bringing my dress here. If they had seemed apologetic at all and offered refund without me having to argue, then again maybe I would feel differently, but I only received a 28% refund. A total waste of money. read more

I was looking for somewhere nearby to get my coat cleaned for the season and this place is on my way home from work each day so I thought id give it a try. Drop off was quick and easy though i felt a tinge of judgement from the lady taking the item, yes there is a stain, thats clearly why im here. Otherwise it was an easy process, seemed a bit more pricey than i was expecting but i'm ok paying for the convenience of the location. The cleaning was fine, they got the stain out and it looks generally cleaner. I dont have anything else i need to take at the moment but im not opposed to dropping of other things in the future. read more

Happy to have found my new go-to spot for dry cleaning and alterations! I needed a formal dress let out in two places, have the dress straps shortened, and the padding in the bust adjusted. The owner was pleasant and quickly determined the new measurements for the alterations when I modeled the dress. It was ready to pick up two weeks later. The price was reasonable for three alterations on a formal dress, and when I tried the dress on again it fit like a glove! The shop is in a convenient Canton location, though parking may be challenging depending on the time of day and how close to O'Donnell Square you plan to park. I'm very satisfied with the service and have already recommended this business to someone looking for suit alterations. read more

Recently my fiancé dropped off an old suit that he had not worn in years for dry cleaning before a wedding. He picked it up the morning before an early flight and when he tried it on realized the zipper was missing. This could have fell off years ago but S&K replaced it within hours, free of charge! I don't typically use a dry cleaner for many things, and my go to is ZIPS because it's fast and cheap... but they don't really get my stains out so well... so I was looking for an alternative, and after many Facebook posts, and yelp reviews I settled on SK Cleaners. I took 5 items to get cleaned and pressed, several of which had some stains, including an old sweater I found with a really bad stain on it. When I dropped it off, I was informed it would be unrealistic to expect the sweater to look perfect again, which I understood. ...... I came to retrieve my dry cleaning, several days later, and again was informe that all my items were great, except the one sweater. No big deal, I wasn't expecting miracles.... so I go home, and hung up my clothes..and the sweater with the giant stain ?? Well, yes , if one really looks closely, they could see a faint hint of some stain...but overall, it was a 98% improvement. Pretty damn good, especially when they told me it want great. I was thrilled with the results, and although it is priced higher than ZIPS, I feel as I have now found my permanent dry cleaners. read more

I usually use this place for dry cleaning and tailoring. I always use Julia for all of my tailoring but today she wasn't in and I said I'd be back (bc Julia transforms my clothes!). However, the older woman working the counter said she could help me and I started trying on all of my clothes (I brought in 2 skirts and 3 dresses). I wanted the dresses to have the shoulders and chest areas tailored, as well as hemmed to be about 3 in above my knees. The woman kept telling me everything was too short; that I should just wear a blouse under my FORMAL dress; and that everything would be about $50 each to fix!! Then she started body shaming me!! She said that I shouldn't do anything to the clothes (which looked like they were just hanging on me) bc she said it covered up my "creases"! Like WTF WOMAN! I'm giving you my business!! She then told me to come back bc she doesn't want to shorten anything bc it's "not appropriate." So needless to say, they just lost my business. Rude AF. No thank you. read more

I was very happy with the service and prices here. I brought in some dry cleaning on two very stained coats. I have a faux fur coat that is light in color and gets dark very easily. The prices were reasonable and the coat looks brand new with not stains. The turn around time was very good and she really listens to your needs. I could really tell they took the time to address the stains while being very gentle to the faux fur. I was really surprised to find negative reviews here of this dry cleaners because the service and quality was excellent. Then I spoke to the owner and found out that she purchased the business and the negative reviews were from the previous owners. So don't believe the negative reviews! If you are in need of a quality seamstress, go see the wonderful woman at S&K. I was in from out of town for a wedding and had my zipper break on the only outfit I brought for a black tie wedding! I called a few places and she was the only one that would help me. She replaced the zipper, didn't gouge me on price and did it all in about 45 minutes. She literally saved my whole weekend. She also added some stitches and steamed the outfit and let me get dressed and ready in her store, as I went directly to the wedding from there. Their signs advertise that they do tailoring (it's on the marquee!), but they managed to stain and ruin my wedding dress 9 days before my wedding. Not only did they try and blame it on me, but the lady that works there blocked the door when I tried to leave with the dress and even tried to grab the dress from me. They probably do fine dry-cleaning things you don't care about, but please don't make my mistake and bring anything of value there. I had to buy a new wedding dress. read more

The attendant and I believe maybe the owner is very courteous, takes good care of you and attends to you right away. A little bit pricier than the main stream ones like Zips though I think reasonable for organic cleaning. they did an amazing job and very thorough and really care about their service and quality. read more

I usually don't give high regard to poor reviews because it could be random, in my case I write based on multiple experiences. I stopped going there some time ago because I felt the work was poor and they acted like it was my fault for needing elbows sewn. I was told it is impossible to let a jacket out to fit better (she just has no idea how to do it), and dropped off a shirt to receive a call later that there was a hole in the shirt. I disregarded and thought they were just being careful. It was obvious that a machine completely mutilated a shirt, there is no way I dropped it off looking like it had been used as a flag in a war. I then noticed that a pair of pants had been added to the bill. When I confronted her about it she told me I counted wrong, when she was the one who counted the clothes. I didn't learn my lesson the first time. They are horrible and poor business owners. I hope they are put out off business to make way for better business owner that would be as convenient a location. read more

Example: on my way in today, she was sweeping the sidewalk to make sure the puppies walking by the storefront wouldn't hurt their paws on debris. The lady that works their is very nice. The store is convenient since it's closer where I live. Prices for shirts are indeed $1.50. She has done alterations for my pants and has done a very goodjob. I also realized it is a pick up store so you will have to wait a couple day before you pick up.I would recommend going to this location. read more

I went in to get a bridesmaid dress fitted. the first time I went in they took about 5 seconds to pin just the top and one part of the hem and gave me the price. I received a call a few hours later saying it was going to be about $20 more than what was quoted. When I got the dress back it still didn't fit and was still too long (I'm really short). I went back a few days later to have it refitted and had major language barriers. The woman pinned the top and side so that it wasn't baggy (that part came out great), but the hemming was a big issue. We could not get on the same page as to what length I wanted for both the outer layer and linings. Again only pinned in one place. When I got it back (with 3 days to spare for the wedding) the hem doesn't evenly fall past the lining and was unevenly cut and sewed. The work will have to do, but I will not be going back considering the cost and the shoddy work. read more
