I've been coming to Remington Cleaners for a few years now. I just recently went for her to do a service on my son's prom suit. My son is tall and extremely slim so having his items tailored/altered is a must. The first initial visit was good however the pants were still baggy. So she had to take them in some more. I picked them up, my son still didn't like them so we went back for another fitting. She said she's never done skinny type pants on a suit before and said some costumers get upset. So she was scared to take them in more. We reassured her it was fine and that it wouldn't be a problem because this is how he likes his pants. Picked them up a third time and they are PERFECT! Just what he wanted. I can't thank her enough. Can't wait to see the final look once it's all put other! read more

I needed some emergency alternations for my wedding dress one month before the big day. Remington Cleaners was able to do what I needed exactly and quickly and for considerably less than what other alterations places were going to charge. I was so delighted with how the dress fit, it was absolutely perfect. I am so appreciative they were able to handle very specific changes with a short turn around. Thank you so much!! read more

Excellent spot for both dry cleaning and alterations!! Timely, great quality, super nice people.

I went to Remington Cleaners to get a vintage dress tailored a bit. I read their reviews, and it seemed like a spot that would do a great job on the dress. And they did. I stopped by, tried it on, they pinned it, and I picked it up a week or so later. Professional, fast, and very reasonably priced for the work they did! I would definitely trust with my dry cleaning and future tailoring needs! read more

Highly recommend Remington Cleaners for wedding gown alteration! We live in the neighborhood and have brought a number of things to Jenny for cleaning and tailoring over the past few years. We've always been impressed with the quality of her alterations and how easy it is to work with her. When it came time to have my wedding gown altered, I first stopped by the specialist tailor that my gown shop recommended, and felt off-put by their expensive quote and frenetic pace. So I went with Jenny at Remington Cleaners instead! I ended up paying less than a third of the cost, with a more relaxed timeline, better service, and great quality work as always. Thank you, Jenny! read more

I've been coming here for over a year now. Nice couple running this shop. The place is small, yet very clean and organized. Have always had excellent service and always friendly. Pricing is reasonable as well. Just sad I will be moving out of the area soon, but highly recommend to Yelpers looking for a dryclean business. read more

Left: me in Mom's wedding dress, unaltered from 1985 Right: me in same wedding dress, altered by Jenny at Remington Cleaners. I cannot say enough about Jenny! I had always wanted to wear my mom's dress, but after seeing it straight out of the box, I had my doubts. There was a lot of work that needed to be done, and it's tough to know what was needed. Jenny knew exactly what should be done, and was so patient when I changed my mind on a few things (e.g. the train). Like a fairy godmother making Cinderella's dress perfect for the ball, she transformed it into my dream wedding dress. This involved removing the sleeves, part of the train, shortening the slip, and bringing in the waistline. I received SO many compliments on the dress on our wedding day, and I credit those to my mom and Jenny. If you're looking to get a gown or dress altered--absolutely recommend Jenny, 100%. You can't beat her prices, and her work is fabulous. Thank you, Jenny! read more

I have been going to Remington Cleaners for about 6 years now. They've tailored clothing of all types for our family and done some dry cleaning for us as well. I dropped of my friend's wedding gown and they were super honest about how "clean" they could realistically get it. They did a great job with it and she was pleased. Big recommend! read more

So far so good. I lost a lot of weight and I'm having alterations to a dress made (shopping in my closet!). I pick it up on 11/5 so I'll report back then. 11/8 - I picked up my dress on Friday and I LOVE it!!! This is only a short review because the event is later on in the month so pictures & a more detailed review will be added then. Overall, I'm very happy! read more

I went to Remington's for Alterations's on a formal dress. After coming home and trying on the dress I was alarmed that the alterations made the dress worse. I called to have my money refunded as I needed to seek other alterations. They would not refund the money only offering to fix the alterations. Why would I trust that their second attempt would be better than their first attempt. I would not recommend them . Look elsewhere for your alterations. read more

Phenomenal place to go! I have to get 80% of my wardrobe tailored, probably 40% dry cleaned, and 10% I buy in a different size or have her tweak it. She is up for each challenge I am always leaving satisfied. She is personable, professional, and expeditious! I've had the waist taken in on pants/dresses, shoes and uggs cleaned, button/zipper repair, inseam of a pant crotch taken in, rompers made to fit me better... literally a master of alll trades. I have recently moved and I still rent of zip car to bring a backpack full of items! She is worth more than those affordable prices. read more

Jenny is amazing! I moved up my wedding date due to COVID and she was able to make my dress absolutely perfect in under a week! She had to take tulle out, hemm, fix the straps and do the bustle! I got so many compliments on my dress. I would go to her again for anything!!! You can trust her and she is very reasonably priced considering the amazing work she does. Thanks Jenny! read more

In response to your comment, Jenny: That's why I brought the jumpsuit back and left it with you. Because you said you would fix it. The day after I dropped it off with you, I received the menacing call from your 'manager.' You could have and should have fixed it, but you didn't. I picked it up 2 days later in the same condition I brought it back to you in. It's unfortunate that you didn't take the opportunity to make the situation right and keep a customer. read more

My husband and I were planning a last-minute micro wedding due to the pandemic. I found a dress off the rack that was 2 sizes too big and way too long, and brought it to Jenny 3.5 weeks before our date to see what could be done with it. She hemmed inches off the bottom (skirt was 3 layers) and took in the entire top of the dress (which was intricate lace). When I tried it on again, and the back was bulging slightly, she kept the dress and fixed it within a few days. Her prices are affordable and fair. I was able to wear it on our wedding day, and felt beautiful. I couldn't believe what a difference the alterations made! Jenny was wonderful to work with; friendly, fast, and professional. My husband has brought suits to Remington as well, and they always do a great job with dry cleaning. read more

I had to get a dress hemmed in less than 24 hours for a party. Not only was it perfect it was done early highly recommend!

Great experience with a last minute alteration on a bridesmaid dress! Would highly recommend for tailoring. Very fast and quality service!

I had a budget wedding and didn't want to spend much on dress alterations, so I brought my BHLDN (Andora Gown) wedding dress here to get altered. I was initially hesitant to bring my wedding dress to a dry cleaner for alterations since my wedding dress was so intricate and had lace, but I am so glad I did. The owner was very kind and accommodating. No appointments were necessary and compared to other places I inquired with, the price she charged was well within my budget. The owner was able to get it done within 2 weeks and when I went to try it on afterwards, the dress was still a bit long. She immediately offered to adjust it again free of charge and had it finished within a week. Overall, I was very pleased with the service I received at Remington Cleaners and will definitely continue going here for the future! read more

I could not be more happy with the service. I came in due to an issue with another persons work and she was able to fix it same day. I am so great full. The quality of the work is excellent. Timeline is exceptional we definitely come back soon read more

Not knowing the first thing about wedding dress alterations, I searched high and low for someone that would do a good job but also not cost me an arm and a leg. Other places quoted me for nearly as much as the cost of my dress itself, but not Jenny! She hemmed it and put in a bustle for less than half of what I was quoted elsewhere and did it all in 2 weeks!! She's amazing. read more

They did a fantastic job patching up some jeans with big holes around the thigh and crotch area. The patches are sturdy and comfortable, and the prices seemed very fair--far less than replacing the pants, and I am very glad to get more wear out of these so I don't have to toss them. I'll definitely be back! read more

They did an awesome job cleaning my clothes! I'm not the best photographer but you can see my clothes are pretty clean and all the unintended folds are gone. The white Cashmere sweaters I've been wearing for at least 10 years and they really took good care of it. My Burberry coat and skirt were full of stains and wrinkles and now they are nice and clean. I'm really happy with this place and would definitely recommend :) read more

What a great experience! I was super nervous because I had a wedding to go to on the west coast and needed a dress altered within 48 hrs. I called ahead and a friendly lady answered the phone. She asked me to bring the dress in so she could see it. From the moment I walked in I felt comfortable. The shop is clean and well laid out with a nice little changing area. I tried my dress on and showed her where I needed it tailored. She made me feel confident in not only my vision but getting it done in 48 hrs. When I went to pick up my dress and tried it on it looked amazing. I was truly impressed, so much I gave the lady a hug lol. Remington cleaners took great care of me and will be my go to tailors. Thanks again! read more

I went to Remington Cleaners for alterations to my wedding dress. Jenny did a fantastic job, for half of what I was quoted elsewhere!! The alterations she provided were: hemming multiple layers of skirt, tightening the beaded straps at the top of my shoulders, sewing in a bra, and adding a bustle. She had previous experience exclusively doing Bridal alterations, and it really showed! I plan to take more formal dresses there now that I know how great she is! read more

Cannot say enough amazing things about Jenny and her work. I brought a bridesmaid dress to her that needed A. LOT. of work. And she handled all of the alterations beautifully! Being in this wedding would have been a lot more revealing if not for Jenny! I will refer any of my friends and family to her - and will be bringing any future tailored needs her way, indefinitely! read more

Remington Cleaners did a fantastic job with my alterations! I had 3 rayon shirts of odd colors altered, and one would never know by looking at them. The thread matches exactly and the stitching is perfect. I will definitely be returning in the future. I thought the prices were fair for the quality, and the staff person was friendly and courteous. read more

My husband and I had an anniversary party in Baltimore and, after a tailor in NY took too much expensive fabric off of some dress straps on the first alteration attempt, my dress was way too snug to be worn and I was in a major time crunch. I called Jenny on a Friday and practically pleaded with her to help me in this last minute, first-world fiasco. Jenny took one look at the dress, undid the stitches on the dress, and worked her magic. She fixed the dress in under 24 hours and made a very special occasion perfect. Her stitchwork was flawless, she was friendly and fast, and she is incredibly reasonably priced. I don't get alteration work done often, but I wish I could send my dry cleaning and delicates alterations to her from NY. Definitely trustworthy, reliable and professional. I would trust her with any garment!! read more

I have gone here for 2 dresses that need to be altered and she did an awesome job on both. One dress, i had altered at another place first, and the outcome was not exactly what I wanted. I came to Remington Cleaners and they did it right the first time! I will say, the prices are a bit on the higher than I was expecting, but if you are guaranteed it will be done right, it is worth it!! Thanks so much. Will continue going here for alterations. read more

Love their services. Always prompt and do an amazing job. This is my go to place in baltimore

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Jenny. She has altered a few garments for me, and restored my grandmother's fur coat, even though I don't think she usually does fur, she did some research and had it cleaned at a very fair price. I was just going to clean it, and she recommended that the lining needed some repairs (it definitely did, I just didn't think of it!) and it's now in gorgeous condition. Her dry cleaning services are fast and affordable, always ready when she says they will be and always pristine. Most of the people in my office use her, because I can't stop raving. I recommend her to a friend for her wedding dress, and Jenny charged her very fairly and the dress came out beautifully. I won't go anywhere else!! read more

So... I've been waiting to clear up this issue I had from these "Cleaners" I had early in the year before I posted my review. Ultimately, according to the Dry Cleaning and Laundry Institute, Remington Cleaners was not found at fault HOWEVER the experience I had with them was an absolute nightmare. It should be noted that this business is not a member of the Drycleaning and Laundry Institute, and they will make that YOUR problem. Essentially I brought in a wedding dress from a designer sample sale with a loose strap and a smudge of dirt on the bust to be lightly cleaned and pressed. The dress, new, was still full price on the designers website so I intended to re-sell the dress (obviously not full price, at a serious discount) because I found another one, and the price I paid reflected a lightly used dress needing dry cleaning. I picked up the dress and immediately noticed a number of patches all over the dress that had gone matte (it was a liquid satin gown). According to the testing that happened later, the company that they send their laundry off to be cleaned to chafed the mirrored finish off of the satin, making it un-useable. I returned to the business, showing her the patches all over the dress. She started stating that she hadn't gone over the dress in full before with me (when I gave her the dress I showed the the strap and the small smudge of dirt on the dress and we went over probably half of the dress). She started interrogating me about the origin of the dress. I will admit the only thing that I did that was problematic was that I stumbled on the origin of the dress with her, sensing that she was positioning herself to state that she wasn't to blame and to completely take advantage of me. I later cleared this up with her daughter who was much less aggressive and easy to deal with. It should be noted that at no point did they offer to refund the cost of my dry cleaning (as it did ruin the dress). They sent the dress to a color restorer who declared that the dress was completely ruined. According to the Better Business Bureau, the next step is to send the dress to a lab to get analyzed to determine the cause of the damage. The owner told me through her daughter that "as an honest business" they would offer to do this for me. I say yes, this is what protocol stipulates. 2 weeks later I am contacted by the daughter. She tells me that it would cost $540 to get the dress tested. She thought it would be fair to make me responsible for the cost of testing if the testing came back and the analysis stated that it wasn't Remington Cleaners fault. I was shocked at this cost and did some digging. I found out that testing only cost a business $36 per garment, no matter what garment, as a member of the DCI/IFI (FYI, they were not a member so if this happens to you, expect the same struggle). After pressing them where the $540 number came from... they told me that it was $504 a year to me a member of the DCI and that they thought it would be fair for me to pay their professional dues for the year as "this has never happened to them and they don't expect that it ever will again". Obviously this frustrated me as the DCI told me almost immediately after I called them that if the dry cleaner wasn't a member of the DCI I should go through the local BBB. After they TRIED TO MAKE ME PAY THEIR PROFESSIONAL DUES TO A PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION I attempted to draw up a contact using the BBB standards for dry cleaning and International Textile Standards but they refused to respect them, stating that they would only pay 30% of the sale price that I paid, citing slightly imperfect material around the zipper and claiming that the garment was in bad condition (I have a product description of the dress from the designer stating it was lightly used but in good condition). Ultimately, you can't dry-clean a liquid satin dress without severe risk to the finish of the dry cleaner and it is out of the ability of a cleaner to prevent any damage to the dress, so they were found not responsible, however the owner maintains that she believes it was right of her to insist that I pay her professional organization dues. Horrible business, horrible experience. read more

Such a nice addition to Remington! I get my shirts dry cleaned here and I also recently had a suit tailored as well. The price was right and the suit turned out great. Jenny skillfully tailored an off-the-rack, 2-sizes-too-big wedding dress for me within a month's time in September last year, and I can testify to this woman's finesse, ease to work with, and extremely fair pricing. The dress I bought was an upscale one at Macy's with an intricate lace with literally thousand beads work. It was too big for me and had a few sites where it was damaged, but I was pressed for time and they had a sale that made the dress very affordable that I couldn't pass on it. Having bought the dress, I took it to three different tailor shops, but Jenny was the one who gave the best price for all the work that needed to be done and had the experience and confidence to say that she could do all the intricate work on it. My mom and I both felt like we could trust her, and her work did not disappoint. I had my dress dry-cleaned as well after the wedding, and my mom also got her dress altered here for the wedding. I can't recommend Jenny and her services enough, and would strongly suggest that all brides give her a call and go in for a consultation at least. read more
