We had a wonderful experience on the craft dinner cruise! The staff was very safety conscious…read moreduring the boarding process and everyone was so polite and friendly. Our server Jules was amazing; she provided great drink and food suggestions based on our likes / dislikes. I had their lemon drop cocktail and it was very good. My husband had a White Russian and it was very good too. We got the cheese board appetizer and we couldn't stop talking about the truffle cheddar, it was phenomenal! My husband got the seasonal tomato soup and he wouldn't stop talking about how good it was. I got the prosciutto salad and it was really good but unfortunately there was no prosciutto. We both got the beef tenderloin and it was amazing! I got the bread pudding for dessert, it was very good. My husband got the creme brûlée cheesecake and it was just ok. The views of Tampa were amazing and it was a smooth ride. It was nice that you could get up and walk around between courses. The "boat in a boat" bar was cool. We were very glad we did indoor seating because it was so hot. There was a table outside that came inside for a bit to cool off, they were too hot outside.

The margaritas and espresso martinis were both excellent. We had the mushroom bisque to start, followed by the short rib and filet, plus crab cakes to share, and everything was delicious. Our service was also 10/10. Great food, drinks, views, and atmosphere all around!

We arrived in Tampa early for the Lightning hockey game and an acquaintance recommended this place…read morefor supper. We arrived about 4:15pm and the place was already packed with revelers (a good sign). We squeezed in just in time, as they had a lone table available for us! We ordered a 10 count of wings, served "Dave's" way, a Cubano and a Philly sandwich (to split and share the sandwiches to try them both out). One sandwich came with fries and the other pasta salad. Cold beers arrived quickly, and it was a nice bonus that happy hour was taking place. The food was actually quite delicious and came out hot and ready. I enjoyed BOTH sandwiches, but if I HAD to chose only one next time I would have to go with the Philly! It was very flavorful, with the meat was so tender and the whole thing just melting in my mouth. I would go out of my way just for that sandwich again - BURP! The chicken wings were perfectly done and I liked "Dave's" way of doing business. I'd get those again, albeit I would be tempted to also try some of the other seasoning/sauces. The fries were really good as well. I did not taste the pasta salad, as I was too full, so my partner was on his own. The place is loud, so don't expect a romantic low-toned conversation. Just saying. It's is a sports bar after all, and a very popular one at that. When we left there was a line out the door of folks waiting to get in (another good sign). As for the service - we had great service by our waitress. She was a busy bee too, bouncing from table to table. We did not experience, or witness, any "rude" behavior on the part of the staff as several reviewers claim they did.

I basically created the ultimate upscale girl dinner: mussels, fries, Caesar salad, crab beignets, and shrimp cocktail. Everything was fresh, flavorful, beautifully done, and completely hit the spot. Such a fun, elevated place without feeling stuffy. I'll absolutely be making Boulon a regular stop whenever I'm visiting.

Once out of the shell it had a smushed texture it was very odd. The pot pie only had a crust that covered the top no bottom. I would think for $40.00 it would have a pastry bottom. My husband made reservations for our special day. The waitress was excellent she was pulled away from our table to work outside. That was very disappointing and it made our experience unenjoyable. She was running around trying to help everyone, it was obvious she was overwhelmed. They gave us a dessert to share for our anniversary, that was very disappointing and it didn't taste good at all. We paid almost $400.00 for two meals, it would have been nice if they gave us two desserts for our wedding anniversary. We decided to leave early because a group of loud rowdy people came in and sat right beside our table about 15 or 20. They definitely disturbed the relaxing vibe. It definitely did not feel like fine dining, that loud group ruined the atmosphere for everyone else and the manager did nothing. He should have asked them to tone it down. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. * Update - I sent an email to the customer service at Boulon Brasserie. It took a very long time for me to receive a response. I received a follow up email from the General Manager asking me to contact him. I called but was unable to reach him for weeks. He asked me to tell him about my experience. I explained that our lobster didn't taste fresh it was mushy. The seafood pot pie had no flavor at all and it was very disappointing. I had the pleasure of dining in Paris and the food at Boulon Brasserie was not up to par. Also we had an issue with the loud noise of a dinner party that changed the atmosphere. After speaking with Mr. Carlos Robles, General Manager he said he was looking forward to turn me and my husband into an advocate of Boulon Brasserie | 1001 Water St. Mr. Robles sent us a gift card for $100. dollars to return and partake in more fine dining. However with the high prices on the menu, this amount clearly would not cover the cost of two meals. We spent $400 on dinner to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary and he sent us $100 to make up for our bad experience. Although we appreciate the gesture. I don't feel as if I want to put any more of our money into this endeavor, because clearly we would have to pay additional funds to cover the expenses. It's just not worth it. One bad experience is enough.

From start to finish, we had a fantastic experience. The entire team was incredibly responsive and made sure everything went smoothly, which made all the difference. Planning an event like this--especially last minute and in a city you've never visited--can be stressful, but the team at The Battery made it all feel effortless. The room looked elegant and very impressive. The food and drinks were amazing too! People were still talking about how much they enjoyed the dinner days after the conference. I'd like to personally thank Steven, Ana, Brianna, Adeline, Aaron, and Matt for their exceptional customer service. We truly had a great time and will definitely plan to dine here again the next time we're in Tampa!

We decided to try the calamari, and while it was cooked well, the flavor fell a little flat--it could've used a touch more seasoning or sauce to really make it pop. That said, the happy hour deals made it worth a try, and the portion was fair. The Donkey Kick, a Kentucky mule featuring four roses bourbon, house-made ginger-mint syrup was very good drink for happy hour. Where Battery really shined was in the service. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome, attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely friendly. That alone kept the experience positive and left us open to trying more of the menu next time. Overall: A stylish Channelside spot that nails the service and happy hour atmosphere--just hoping for a bit more punch in the flavors on the plate.

We ate there twice while in town and overall the food was really good. The burger was delicious, and everyone in my group enjoyed what they ordered. The biggest issue was staffing. The hotel knew there was a large conference happening at the convention center, yet during lunch there was only one server trying to cover both the bar and the restaurant. He was doing his best, but it was clearly too much for one person. The second day there was also a helper clearing plates, but there was a language barrier and it was difficult to communicate simple things like drink refills or asking for the check. The food and atmosphere were definitely solid, and with proper staffing this easily could have been a 5-star experience.
