The flavor alone deserves its own shoutout...seriously, SO good (and yes, I'll say it again... the flavor!!). On top of that, the macros are spot on, which makes staying on track effortless. Delivery has been smooth and reliable, and the variety is a huge win. I was previously using another local meal prep service that just didn't cut it. There were limited options and the taste was only okay. FitEx has been a complete upgrade in every way. I have already recommended it to 3 other people. I've been stopping by here on and off over the past year. It is located in a very non-descript storefront, but it is so convenient that they are open 7 days a week, since Sundays are a good day for me to run errands. Inside is just a front counter with a microwave on it and the register. To the right of the door are two freezer/coolers that hold all the meals available. On the left they have a bunch of different protein bars. They usually have a wide variety of entrees, a few breakfasts, an overnight oat, and one, maybe two protein desserts. All of their entrees seem to be between 400-500 calories, with anywhere from 30 - 45 grams of protein. I love that every entree is tagged with all that information, plus the expiration date, although I wish that some of the entrees included what exactly was in them. For that, you have to ask the guy working the counter. Four entrees usually cost around $48 with tax. I have tried many different things but so far my favorite has been the tacos and salmon. These are the perfect meal when you don't feel like cooking; each meal heats up in the microwave in about 2 minutes. The meals are soo good! I love how the menu changes every Sunday, Tuesday and Friday. They just opened a st Pete location which is awesome and I think they will get a lot of interest there. The price for the meals are reasonable. I got 50% off my first subscription order. I love the portion sizes and they do fill me up. If I'm really hungry I do need to snack after one of those meals but they are perfect for lunch or dinner when I'm not starving. read more

We got a TON of meals here before i had surgery because I was unable to cook. We put them all straight into the freezer and defrosted daily. I have tried several pre-made meal delivery places around here and these meals are very good in comparison (flavor wise). Unfortunately I was not a fan of this company. It might be for someone, but I'm not a fan personally. I've tried factor meals before and loved their flavor and everything about the meals but the drop offs didn't work for me. For this company it's the opposite. The drops offs have been smooth and convenient, but the food is not good. Everything has been very bland tasting and the meat hasn't tasted the best quality. I got a Korean bowl and the beef was very chewy and I couldn't even eat some pieces. The steak bowl was very dry and had no seasoning it seemed. Switched over to FitEx from another company based locally in the area. FitEx just seemed to have far more choices. Opening an account online was a breeze. I opted for the 10 meal subscription with 4 being delivered on a Sunday and the other 6 being delivered on Tuesday. I love that you'll get a text message when the driver is on their way and it gives an estimated time too. The overall quality is superb. Amazing flavor and quality. Heating times were for the most part spot-on, although there may be an occasional time or two where an additional 30 seconds is warranted, but this is by no means a complaint. Website and email communication was really efficient. Reminders sent out each week to remember to select your meals. I even got the chance to suspend a week when I was traveling and it was a breeze to suspend and resume service. Would highly recommend it. It's only the second meal prep company I've tried but there's really no reason to look elsewhere. read more

I have a lot of amazing things to say about this place. I love these meals. They are delicious and super fresh. I love being able to pickup my meals on Sunday for the whole week. I have done the 10 meal plan (for my lunches and dinners M-F). I think it is extremely reasonably priced and actually saves me money. There is a variety of choices and honestly the food is SO flavorful. The only constructive feedback I have is I feel like for someone like myself that is extremely active - doing lots of HIIT and weights. the meals are not enough food! I eat low carb mostly and often will add avocado or spinach / salad mix to make the meals a little more filling. I wish they had different size options. They are pretty stingy on the vegetables. Please see attached picture - for a Keto meal that doesn't have any starches there should definitely be double the vegetables that they provide - even if it means charging a little more! For this reason I am switching to a competitor meal prep service that provides more veggies. I actually purchased green beans at Publix to add to this meal because I eat 3x the amount of veggies here. Lol. But amazing and lots of good things about this place. read more

After starting FitEx, I realized how silly it was to waste that much time. I realized that the amount of money I spent on groceries to cook for myself actually wasn't too far off from what I would be spending to get on a weekly meal prep plan subscription. These meals are so good. I actually didn't really fall in love with the idea right away because I didn't see what the big deal was. After trying a few of their meals however, I realized I was so wrong. These taste SO good. I've found a few favorites and now I get bummed out when they're sold out in the grab and go cooler! I actually feel full after a meal, now. I'm controlling my hunger and my cravings (did I mention they have snacks, too?). Their meals are all between 400-500 calories and the staff is great for helping out with helping you create a custom plan to reach your fitness goals. For me, it was getting leaner and eating better but I also wanted to not have to spend hours and a ton of money to stress out about it. Now that my meals are there and ready for me, I have no excuse. There's no more cheat days for me because the meals are already so good! I found a plan that works for me and my goals and I'm watching my body change over time for the better, even without intense exercise. Just the simple process of reducing my calorie intake and focusing on micronutrients (which FitEx does FOR me!) has helped me feel better, more energized, and so, so much healthier. I've tried a few of these pre-made meal services now. You're paying for convenience - if you're willing to drive to the likes of "Fresh Kitchen" for every meal you can get much better tasting, good for you, larger portioned, fresh food for the same cost or cheaper than any pre-made meal service. The food from FitEx is OK - a step above frozen microwave meals but not something I look forward to eating. The same is true of the other services I tried. The only one that stands out as being better, and something I actually look forward to eating is Catered Fit. That one is also a bit more expensive that FitEx. I value convenience, am trying to lose weight and remove (bad) choices so I'm going to pay the premium and go with Catered Fit. read more

I was tired of the limited options at my other healthy meal go to (also has the word Fit in the name...). So I took a shot and tried Fit Ex. After 5 weeks, I can say the food is great!! It is very high quality and delicious. So much variety! After 5 weeks, there has only been one thing that popped up twice (a chicken bacon bowl which is amazing). The twice a week delivery is super convenient too. My only complaint is that it's a little light on the veggies which is easy to remedy by just also throwing in some spinach or other quick cooking option.
