Delivery has been smooth and reliable, and the variety is a huge win. I was previously using another local meal prep service that just didn't cut it. There were limited options and the taste was only okay. FitEx has been a complete upgrade in every way. I have already recommended it to 3 other people. Inside is just a front counter with a microwave on it and the register. To the right of the door are two freezer/coolers that hold all the meals available. On the left they have a bunch of different protein bars. They usually have a wide variety of entrees, a few breakfasts, an overnight oat, and one, maybe two protein desserts. All of their entrees seem to be between 400-500 calories, with anywhere from 30 - 45 grams of protein. I love that every entree is tagged with all that information, plus the expiration date, although I wish that some of the entrees included what exactly was in them. For that, you have to ask the guy working the counter. Four entrees usually cost around $48 with tax. I have tried many different things but so far my favorite has been the tacos and salmon. These are the perfect meal when you don't feel like cooking; each meal heats up in the microwave in about 2 minutes. Make sure you register for their points program - I've already earned $5 off my next visit.

I went with the Cuban since I've heard it's a staple, and for my first time trying one, it was a solid introduction to the sandwich. Everything came together well. Lucky for me, I'll be calling Tampa home soon, so I'll be back to try more of their sandwiches. I've also heard good things about the chocolate cake, not usually my go-to, but I might have to give it a try.

Can't make it during their hours of pick up? No problem. Just shoot them a message and they make it convenient for you. Oh and the lovely little boxes the meals come in? Reusable! So if you ever decide to get into meal prep yourself, (good luck with that! Lol!), you can save these little boxes for that or use them as left over containers for your relatives at the holidays.

But it's their DESSERT game that really has me taking notice. I've loved their pumpkin cheesecake for years, and just when I thought nothing can top it--I WAS WRONG. Their new raspberry cheesecake has actually dethroned it. I was in a pinch and couldn't decide on lunch in South Tampa so I decided to pick up a few meals from Fitlife. I got the pulled pork carnitas and the bison burger and the total came out to $29. I was in too deep at that point and decided to just buy them, but I was shoccckeeeddd that I was paying almost $15 each. I get it - you're paying for the convenience of a pre-cooked meal, the simple yet nutritious ingredients, healthy portion, but I was still very surprised and likely will shy away from picking up meals in store again. However, I love that they sell Brick Street Farms greens. Not sure if there's a closer retailer to me that sells them. The greens on shelf were unfortunately past their sell date, but the male staff member (I don't remember his name, SORRY!) was very helpful! I didn't notice the date and went to purchase them, but he checked and even went into the back to see if there was a replacement for me. Should I decide to go back to pre-cooked meal delivery, Fitlife would still be my #1 option.
