Jersey mikes is probably my favorite sandwich shop chain. I greatly enjoy their hot subs and like them more than any of their competitors. They have a good selection and their food is of good quality and tastes well overall. They don't have quite as much customization as something like a Subway. Price wise it can be a little pricy, probably its only downside. For a regular sub with chips and a drink you are looking at around 12 dollars depending on your sub. I personally like to get the giant which is more but can be 2 or 3 meals for you. They also have a rewards program that can get you free subs. Service wise this location has always been fast and friendly with no issues with my order. I've never had any issues here and will be back regularly. read more

These people are down to earth and genuinely friendly, and they make one helluva sandwich in my opinion. I ordered my fave, the Chipotle Cheesesteak, and had a seat. When my sub came out it was piping hot and dripping with a combination of chipotle mayo and melted cheese. I ate it shamelessly, taking no time to wipe off my hands or mouth until I finished the very last bite. We seem to have a lot of different places serving deli sub sandwiches around town, and each has their own marketing gimmick. In the case of Jersey Mike's it's all about the quality of their products. Their certified Angus Beef top rounds are trimmed and cooked right in the store. The meats and cheeses are all top-quality premium brands. The bread is fresh-baked each day on the premises. And of course, everything's prepared right in front of you as you shuffle through the line. This particular Jersey Mike's is located along Gunn Highway, not far from the Citrus Park Mall, and directly across the street from D1 Sports Training. The Upper Tampa Bay Trail crosses over Gunn Highway within feet of the store. As with all Jersey Mike's you have about ten different cold sandwich options, about 6 different hot sandwich options, and a handful of wraps and salads. Of course the choices don't stop there as you can customize these basic sandwiches to your heart's content. I generally order #13 - The Original Italian, which is made with Provolone cheese, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami and pepperoni. You can order your sandwich as a Mini which is 5" long, a Regular which is 7" and a Giant which is 14-15". Next in line are the toppings. My first visit to this Jersey Mike's, and truth be told, it was just okay. 1) The location is a pain to get in to. You end up having to do either a u-turn at the traffic light for the Veterans, or an even smaller u-turn off of Gunn Hwy and then driving through the Blinds To Go parking lot. 2) Every table in the place was dirty. Even when no customer was in line to buy a sandwich, not one of the workers came out to wipe off a table. People came and went, and no table was ever wiped off. 3) This is a little thing, but struck me as odd - because the Italian I got wasn't on the "hot sub" list, I couldn't get it warmed up. Really? There was only 1 person in line behind me so it wasn't like I was going to hold up the masses. And since they offer hot subs, they obviously have the capabilities. Very weird. Sub meat was good, sub roll was fresh. I love the cherry pepper relish they have to put on the subs. Definitely better than other local sub shops, but of course, you are certainly paying for it - over $10 for regular sub, baked chips, and a drink. Will I be back? I have been there several times in the past month and I am very impressed with the the manager's attitude toward customer service; he goes out of his way to ensure you are a satisfied customer. In addition, he was continuously cleaning the table tops with a disinfectant solution to ensure customers were not exposed to viruses... very comforting to see that level of effort with the coronavirus risk. The food itself and the staff were top notch. The reason for the 3 stars was all due to the Manager on duty this past Sunday. This man was extremely unprofessional! The staff were working their butts off at a very busy time and this jackass was yelling and berating them in front of a store full of customers. By far the worst experience I have EVER encountered at ANY sub shop worldwide. Me and my friend ordered 2 steak and cheese subs, one without peppers. This is a very simple order that took the stoned trainee 3 tries to comprehend. Then when we arrived after calling in they had not started on our order because the trainer didn't wrote it down correctly. So this negated the whole point of calling ahead. So you would assume that because I ordered ahead over the phone the next two subs made would be ours. NOPE!. After 25 minutes of standing in a store with literally 3 people in it my food had still not even touched the grill. I got my money back and will be talking to the manager. Wonderful staff on both occasions we have visited. We come here exclusively due to their gluten free hoagie roll. It's $1.50-$3.00 extra (depending on size of sandwich) and absolutely worth the cost. It comes in a factory sealed package (lowers chance of cross contamination). My celiac husband hasn't had a decent sandwich since his diagnosis, and Jersey Mike's delivered the goods! It's so good we are wondering if they would sell us just the roll so we can make sandwiches at home. They also have been great at avoiding cross contamination when making the sandwich (our online order came with a "made with love" note from the sandwich maker - thank you!!). Today I had lunch at this restaurant. I was 2nd in line with two ppl at table eating. The restaurant was not busy at this time and ALL the tables were dirty and stuff on the floor. I had to wipe my own table down. I spoke with who I think was the manager and let him know my birthday sub was not given to as my birthday was July 15th. He says if it's not In your points than you didn't get it. He didn't offer to see how he can help to accommodate my birthday sub. Their was a fly landing on the bread they had sitting out as well as the sub before being made the fly was all over that bread. I told him I didn't want that too bread as the fly was all over it and asked to take one out of the rack behind him. This is unsanitary and should not have flies all over the food. The restaurant had a little rush and when it was not busy the employees all went to the back talking and never bothered cleaning the tables, floors or drink station. I came into jersey mikes because I've been seeing their commercials about donating profits to a cause. I'm all for donating, for any good cause! Well come to find out that is only going on for one day - Wednesday, March 23. 100% of all profit on that day is donated to an organization which helps young burn victims. This time I ordered a number 26, which included roast beef, turkey, Swiss cheese, and mikes way. It was pretty darn delicious. My kids had practice at a nearby field and we were tired of the same old fast food options so we decided to give this place a try. Placed take out order online tonight, was supposed to be ready at 6:30. Online ordering process was quick and easy to use. Arrived at 6:35 and found only 2 very sweaty staff members behind the counter. They were obviously overwhelmed so I was ignored while they served 4 walk in customers without even acknowledging me. Then when they finally asked what I was waiting for, I was told they were busy but making it now (as I watched one of the workers frantically throw it on the grill). Order was not complete until 6:50 and it was wrong!! I ordered a chicken Philly cheesesteak and received a beef cheesesteak instead. I wasn't completely thrilled about this Jersey Mike's, the meat slicer hadn't been cleaned and the meat was left out while they were cutting it, not very sanitary. I do like the sandwiches, but this worries quite a bit. If I were to go back to this place, I would make sure that it was way cleaner than it was this time. read more
