Working in downtown Tampa has its perks-especially when you're just a short walk from so many great local spots. Today, I took a stroll over to Turntable, a cozy eatery just outside the JW Marriott Tampa Water Street. Turntable is a laid-back, quick-service spot where food is handed out from a street-level window, making the whole experience casual and inviting. With its music-themed menu and outdoor seating, it's the perfect place to grab a bite and soak in the downtown Tampa vibe. The menu features creative burgers, sandwiches, loaded fries, and other playful offerings inspired by music and pop culture. For lunch, I opted for the Caesar Mix-a-Lot Salad - a fresh combination of chopped romaine, shredded parmesan, mini herbed croutons, and a flavorful garlic parmesan dressing. It was light, refreshing, and perfect for a warm Florida afternoon. One of the most unique menu items is the Doechii Donut, named after Tampa's own Grammy-winning rapper Doechii. It's a creative local touch that adds to the restaurant's personality and celebrates hometown talent. If you're looking for a quick lunch spot downtown with good food, outdoor seating, and a fun vibe, Turntable is worth checking out. Sometimes the best part of the workday is discovering a new local favorite just a short walk away. read more

I was craving something quick and easy and this was right next to the hotel I was staying at and it was a great pick! The burger has 2 beef patties, 2 slices of cheese, pickles, I think lettuce and some sauce. It meshed well together the flavor was decent! Burgers were done fresh right infront of you. I wish they also had a fry dipping sauce other than ketchup. Nice quick spot to get some slightly above average burgers and fries! read more

A quick little hidden gem in front of the stadium and convention center. You can grab a sandwich before you head out. I had a bbq chicken sandwich that WAS HUGE. I love the quick service and the out door seating. There isn't much ambiance here because it's just a window to grab a sandwich but it was clean and organized. read more

Here with my husband at a work conference & have been waiting the whole time for this place to be open! Well worth the wait! I wish o would have gotten her name but the girl behind the counter was super friendly! I originally went for the burger but quickly changed to the chicken sandwich! It was amazing! The only change I would've made would be to switch out the sweet pickles to dill. Overall an awesome lunch. read more

Super yummy burger and chicken sandwich. There's not much to this place -- it's a walk up window and a couple of picnic tables for seating. But the food is seriously good. I was looking for a good burger and I got one. The chicken sandwich was good too but the burger was the star of the show. The person working the counter was friendly and helpful. Service was good. If you are looking for a simple, super good burger experience, look no further. Oh, and the fries were excellent too. read more

Stumbled across this side street gem on the way home & I'm happy to report they made the cut. I had the Smashing Pumpkins burger (double) with fries. The people working are super nice here & the chef definitely knows how to season a burger well. The Turntable was likely placed here to give passerbys & hotel guests the option to buy fast food meals at a lower cost as opposed to finer dining at the restaurants nearby. The setting is a pickup/order window, is casual & has a limited tables outside with a little upbeat music. (**See the large radio welded by the pickup window). The menu boasts of chicken tenders, burgers+fries, "Korndogs", salad etc. Parking is in the garage around the way but is limited to event or hotel guests. The Turntable is opened nightly from 11:30am-8pm closed Mon-Tues. read more

Not far from the Amalie Arena is this walkup food stand, easy to order, food is cooked after you order and there is seating not far away outside of the JW Marriott which this is part of. I had the Dixie Chicken sandwich and it was very good, nice and tender with a bit of spice/heat. We stopped here before heading to a hockey game at the arena and it was much better than the food they had in the arena. read more

Awesome for what it is--pop up burger and snack shop. Insanely good burger, basic fingers, solid Caesar. Good fries

Service was great and the burger was the best burger we had in the area. We were here for a cheer competition and struggled finding good food in the area. This place was right across from the convention center so convenient in between our break time. read more

Oh my god had the worst food and service at harpoon Harry's, it was a limited game day menu. Sent our food back and left . It was the worst! We were walking past turn tables and stopped. Most amazing burgers and fries, great service, positive employees. The best place to stop before a lightning game! Go Bolts! Thank you turntable for saving our night! Went around 2pm on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. Staff was super friendly and food came out in a timely manner. It was one of the best burgers I've had and that's saying something. Seasoning was great, veggies were fresh, sauces enhanced the burger, and everything came together wonderfully. I would highly highly recommend this place if you are ever in the area. read more

This is the best food for the best price in Tampa. The Jalapeno Caesar Salad Dressing is amazing. The chicken tenders are the moist chunky type, the fries were well done as ordered and delicious. I look forward to trying more things when back in Tampa. The staff is delightful. This is the best way to spend the $30/day resort credit when staying at the JW or Marriott Water Street. I will definitely go back even if not staying at one of the hotels. I only wish it was open everyday. read more

If you're walking through downtown & need a quick bite to eat, this is 100% the best place. Food made fresh to order, polite staff, and nice ambience. The double burger is probably the best I've had in Tampa and the onion petals are 10/10 (just like a bite-sized bloomin' onion!) read more

This is a pop up run by the new JW Marriott that is open Thursday-Saturday. It is located on the side of the hotel as a walk up counter. The menu offerings are creative and served in a plentiful portion. Items are themed and I tried the Red Hot Chili Pepper Sandwich. It was a huge chicken thigh piece served alongside fresh cut fries. The order was out quick and very good. Many of the items on the menu looked appealing to me and I look forward to coming back on future visits to try out more. read more

Chef Lester is back there killin it on grill and Sadi is up front with ALL the best energy! Food is great and that jalapeno Caeser salad is fire! Food was amazing and the service was even better... Sadie and Lester helped my family and I out tremendously, with great food and service and advice on Tampa FL. read more

Came by after work during the week for a quick dinner. This is a completely outdoor walk-up concept. There are only 2 outdoor picnic tables available for seating and it started pouring shortly after our arrival so half of both tables were in the rain further limiting the seating. Prices are a bit expensive for the casual outdoor feel. I ordered the smashmouth burger and foo fighter fries. There is only one cook and everything is made to order so be prepared to wait for fresh food. The burger comes in 2 oz sizes. I opted for the 4oz. It comes topped with onions, pickles, lettuce and tomato. The burger was piping hot and delicious! The patty was skinny and reminded me of a Steak 'n Shake patty. The fries were smothered in cheese and topped with green onions, tomatoes and bacon. They too came out piping hot but overall lacked in flavor given the "loaded" aspect. The cheese overall was bland and the additional tomatoes and bacon were scarce. read more

The burger was fantastic as were the tater tots that it came with. Had an ice cold Mango Cart beer with it. Highly recommend!

Turnable is a hidden gem if your in the mood for Classic American Cuisine on a budget (under $20). I highly recommend the Smashing Pumpkin Burger with Animal Style Tots. The double burger is big and juicy dripping with flavor...the crispy tots are plentiful and over loaded with bacon, cheese, and sour cream...if you value great customer service, great food, with an amazing atmosphere...you've found your next destination. read more
