Love it when I roll the dice and win! Just landed in Tampa and needed something to hold me over until dinner. Love walking in and the owner not only takes my order but delivers to me when prepared. I had the Philly which is a cross between a Philly Cheesesteak and a Cuban. Delicious. Will definitely return when in town!

Cream of Asparagus soup, egg salad on Cuban bread, side pickle and rice Krispy treat

Immediately I was impressed that their website updates the Rios daily and has a comprehensive and easy to understand menu! We decided what we wanted and called in. The man on the phone was so polite, friendly and efficient! Noon on a weekday and still 10-15 min only for pickup. The soup that day was cream of asparagus and it was SO GOOD. Perfectly wrapped to be transported safely home and piping hot. I went with the egg salad on a whim and it was perfection. My friend had the turkey Rueben and loved it too! Both came with a wrapped pickle for the sandwich and crackers for the soup. All very fresh, homemade and tasty. Additionally the prices were fair and Al the sandwiches came in a half or whole size and soup a cup or bowl. Will definitely order here again! (Also plenty of easy parking for Togo!)

2nd time trying Barrow's after living in this area for almost 10 years. Although the food was ok, there are much better deli sandwich and soup options in this area. I was pretty disappointed in both the soup and sandwich I ordered. The bread on the sandwich tasted like it was a month old; dry, crumbly, flavorless and stale. The bread was such poor quality it did not keep my sandwich together and it was falling apart with every bite. The soup was potato bacon and was all broth, bi chunks of potatoes and just tiny bits of bacon. It was also very watery and thin when that type of soup is usually thick and creamy.

A new favorite place to get a sandwich. My husband says he knows why this place isn't as popular as other delis in the area - the clientele is older. I asked him if that made his sandwich taste worse. He begrudgingly said no. I'll admit, this is not a place to see and be seen, but man is their chicken salad sandwich to die for. I could write the review with just this one sentence: get the chicken salad sandwich; you're welcome. Since I'm a wordy person I'm going to write more. This place is tiny, but it isn't that busy. Even though there isn't a lot of seating it was still really easy to get a seat. Same with the parking lot. Even though it isn't that big, there were still enough spaces. This is great for my neuroticism. I hate trying to find parking, waiting in lines, and waiting for a table. We went at 12:30 p.m. on a Tuesday, which should be prime food time, and didn't have any issues. The people manning the counter are super nice. When I ordered the chicken salad sandwich (because so many of you recommended it) he made sure I was aware it has curry and wanted to make sure I liked pumpernickel. Heck yes I want the sandwich the way it is intended to be. It literally took a couple minutes for them to make the sandwich and get it to my table. The sandwich is big! I got just the sandwich and was full until dinner. It has a good heaping of chicken and the sweetness of the plump, golden raisins really completes this sandwich. The pumpernickel is super hearty and is great to hold up the heaviness of the chicken salad. This is my favorite chicken salad sandwich to date. I left here full and happy. That's all I can ask for when visiting a business.

Tuna and egg on rye with a side of potato salad. YUM!!

Barrow's is a hidden gem in South Tampa. Great food, quick service. Not pretentious. This is a great non-chain lunch spot to try out!

I basically created the ultimate upscale girl dinner: mussels, fries, Caesar salad, crab beignets, and shrimp cocktail. Everything was fresh, flavorful, beautifully done, and completely hit the spot. Such a fun, elevated place without feeling stuffy. I'll absolutely be making Boulon a regular stop whenever I'm visiting.

Once out of the shell it had a smushed texture it was very odd. The pot pie only had a crust that covered the top no bottom. I would think for $40.00 it would have a pastry bottom. My husband made reservations for our special day. The waitress was excellent she was pulled away from our table to work outside. That was very disappointing and it made our experience unenjoyable. She was running around trying to help everyone, it was obvious she was overwhelmed. They gave us a dessert to share for our anniversary, that was very disappointing and it didn't taste good at all. We paid almost $400.00 for two meals, it would have been nice if they gave us two desserts for our wedding anniversary. We decided to leave early because a group of loud rowdy people came in and sat right beside our table about 15 or 20. They definitely disturbed the relaxing vibe. It definitely did not feel like fine dining, that loud group ruined the atmosphere for everyone else and the manager did nothing. He should have asked them to tone it down. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. * Update - I sent an email to the customer service at Boulon Brasserie. It took a very long time for me to receive a response. I received a follow up email from the General Manager asking me to contact him. I called but was unable to reach him for weeks. He asked me to tell him about my experience. I explained that our lobster didn't taste fresh it was mushy. The seafood pot pie had no flavor at all and it was very disappointing. I had the pleasure of dining in Paris and the food at Boulon Brasserie was not up to par. Also we had an issue with the loud noise of a dinner party that changed the atmosphere. After speaking with Mr. Carlos Robles, General Manager he said he was looking forward to turn me and my husband into an advocate of Boulon Brasserie | 1001 Water St. Mr. Robles sent us a gift card for $100. dollars to return and partake in more fine dining. However with the high prices on the menu, this amount clearly would not cover the cost of two meals. We spent $400 on dinner to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary and he sent us $100 to make up for our bad experience. Although we appreciate the gesture. I don't feel as if I want to put any more of our money into this endeavor, because clearly we would have to pay additional funds to cover the expenses. It's just not worth it. One bad experience is enough.

There are so many options from traditional breakfasts to omelettes, pancakes, Benedicts and more. I went with a vegetable omelet and side of home fries. The omelette was a generous size and packed with veggies. I was impressed. The home fries were a bit over cooked but had a nice crunch. The place has a retro vibe to it resembling an older style diner. They could do with some updating but the food was very good and the service was excellent. I'll be back!

He came to our table to personally explain the Tokyo Fries, introduced us to the new Shrimp Bao and the new Crispy Rice with Yuzu Ponzu, and shared the inspiration behind the dishes. Everything tasted incredible, and you can tell how much care goes into every plate. We've been to Wagamama in the UK, but the Water Street location is truly exceptional. Chef Joel has been amazing both times we've dined here. He even took the time to talk with my daughter about the food, and it completely made her day. She talked about the experience for the rest of the day! Thank you, Chef Joel, for the amazing food, your passion, and for taking the time to visit our table and make us feel so welcome. We checked out a bunch of different restaurants, but they were all booked up. So, we ended up booking Wagamama for our dinner on Sunday night. After finding roadside parking near the restaurant, we checked in at the register and were shown to our table. Our server greeted us and provided us with menus. Following a discussion among ourselves and with our server, we began our order with a lychee martini and a coconut drift for drinks. For appetizers, we selected the Bang Bang Cauliflower, which our server highlighted as a very popular option, along with chicken pot stickers. For our main courses, we ordered the chicken pad Thai, Karage Chicken Strips for our toddler and the chicken firecracker dishes. Our drinks arrived first: a Lychee Martini and a Coconut Drift. The Lychee Martini contained a significant amount of vodka, so much that my spouse could only manage two sips. The Coconut Drift was better, but it still had an excessive amount of sugar. We got our Bang Bang Cauliflower appetizer. However, upon tasting it, we found it wasn't cooked properly. It tasted like they simply coated the cauliflower with sauce without properly cooking it. We were disappointed to have to return it. Following that, our chicken pot stickers arrived. The chicken pot stickers were just okay, without anything particularly noteworthy about them. They weren't even properly cooked around the edges. Both appetizers we ordered turned out to be disappointing. Our dinner arrived and included Pad Thai and Chicken Firecracker. Both dishes were just alright; they could have been better. Compared to how other reviews described them, they didn't live up to the expectations set by those reviews. We couldn't get the Chicken Karage Strips we wanted for dinner. We ended up having to comp the whole thing because even though the restaurant wasn't that full (only about 70-75% empty), we had to wait a super long time for the food to be ready. Our visit to Wagamama was so disappointing that we may not return. We were unhappy with the food, the service, and the atmosphere.
