Doormet is one of my all-time favorite spots--I've been coming here for years, and everything is absolutely to die for! Some of my favorites are the Farmer's Salad, Quattro Pizza, and Chicken Giacomo, but my absolute number one is the Rustico Sandwich. I am completely OBSESSED! It never disappoints and is hands down my go-to order. I'm also so happy they added the double chocolate cookie because it is probably my new favorite cookie. Gave me a 2 hr runaround for a delivery order that they then figured out was delivered to the wrong address after my 3rd call in for an update. Multiple blocks over from where it should've been. You'd think a business built on delivery and catering orders orders could manage to deliver a small order on time and to the right address. Accidents happen but this was beyond poorly handled. Fresh off the moving truck in South Tampa, we did what any reasonable person does in a new neighborhood -- stalked the local pizza joints. Took a chance on this place and let me tell you, the pizza did NOT disappoint. Picked it up last time and got to see the little spot in person -- has a cool vibe! Used to be a healthy and quality take out spot. I wouldn't say it was ever a "gourmet" dining experience as it's take out and lots of heavy, fried dishes but it was a staple for a family of 4. That's changed. In the last two years, I have consistently noticed a massive decline in quality control. Many items are heavily fried in vegetable oils and overly greasy. Salmon is almost always charred or dry, very overdone. Chicken parm is overly fried, way too much salty prosciutto making it a sodium bomb. Pasta is either over sauced or void of sauce entirely. Customer service is low. This complaint was initially sent to the customer service email of which they failed to respond/address such complaints. It's 2026. It's time to update the menu, retrain staff, drop the black toxic plastic and cholesterol high, fried potatoes and green beans. Quality and variety are tired and need a massive update. read more

After arriving in Clearwater, FL, We decided to stop at Walmart to pick up some items. I had a craving for a good pizza. I asked my husband if he was up for that. He responded heck yeah. Of course, I brought up my trusty yelp. Searched for nearby pizzas. This was one mile from our current location. Loved the reviews. They do carryout as well as dining in. I placed my order online. We paid upon arrival. They do offer a 10% discount when you check in on Yelp. The pizza we purchased was the Brooklyn pizza. Had every topping that we love. We ordered a large. It was super delicious!! Would definitely make this my go-to stop for pizza while in the area. The indoor restaurant was clean, and they also sell wine as well as other items on the menu. Doormat dropped off a menu for catering but I have to check them out first. They are at the back of the shopping center so don't park right away when you pull into the lot. They were having a special on lobster rolls so had to have it. The sandwich is pretty decent size and you get homemade chips with all their sandwiches. The lobster wasn't bad but I have had better. The chips were warm and excellent. The menu includes salads, deli and hot sandwiches, pasta dishes and desserts. I phoned in my order snd it was ready when I arrived. We were staying at a nearby hotel and this restaurant came up as close by so we decided to walk and try it. It did not disappoint! The staff were super friendly as soon as we walked in and showed us the menu and monthly specials. There was no one dining in, but many people came in to pick up and the phone didn't stop ringing for call in orders. We ordered and sat ourselves in the dining area. The space itself was open and clean and the decor had a really nice modern feel. Our food was brought to us when it was ready and it was really good! My husband ordered the backyard burger, perfectly cooked and juicy. My son had chicken fingers and I could hear the crunch from the crispy outside from across the table . I hadn't been to Doormet in a while and was thrilled to discover expanded vegan and gluten free options! Including gf vegan flatbread pizzas! Nice mix of hot foods and cold options like sandwiches and salads. It's a cute cafe, order at the counter and seat yourself. I had a kale and quinoa bowl that was flavorful and generously portioned. I tried some of the curried squash soup as well and it was delicious. I think chips are made in house! I would love to see more vegan add-ons (tofu, avocado, nuts and seeds, etc.) rather than just leaving off the meat to make an item vegan. It's pizza week in Tampa! So, I got the special offered at Doormet. My first time getting take out from this place. I got the Brooklyn pie. It has house made pizza sauce (tangy with just a bit of a kick), sausage, pepperoni, roasted mushrooms and bacon. Yummy! This pie is normally $20 but during pizza week it's just $10...a bargain! My only complaint would be that the crust isn't crispy enough (I'm from New Jersey and born in Brooklyn so, I am partial to thin crispy crust). Overall, I rate the pie an 8/10. Yes this place is a locals favorite for a reason. Food is cooked to order and taste great.

May I suggest: They may have changed ownership, but the food is still of the same "made with love" quality I enjoy when I come here. I have been a regular here for three years and have acquired some faves. I would go with their half portion deli sandwich with half size house salad. I substitute the chips for side of their orzo pasta salad to round off the meal. Their seemingly plain deli sandwiches are made wirh the most tender cuts of meat and are petfrctly nestled on a soft roll. I can easily rip the sandwiches with my fingers with not alot of effort. My other favorite is half size salad with a cup of their tomato bisque soup. No exaggeration, they make THE best tomato bisque I've ever had with the rich tomato flavor and hearty croutons in it. They do offer specials each month that look very interesting and I do make a note to try. Definitely in the bucket list is their mac n cheese and wings. read more

We order Doormet for lunch, just about every week. The food is delicious, delivery is quick and the drivers are always friendly. We have had the salads, sandwiches, burger and pizza and everything was fantastic. We will definitley try it for dinner soon. read more

We have been faithful customers for almost five years. My husband loves the burgers and I love their blackened salmon. I either get it in a sandwich or as a protein in a salad. Both are divine. I do think they have changed their homemade chips recipe. They are a much lighter color, have a seasoning that I don't care for, and they really taste more like packaged chips now. Very disappointing. I would love to know the answer! We also love their Caprese salad. They do tend to use way too much arugula. Every time we order, I request light arugula, but it seldom happens. These are my only complaints. They left out an order once, and quickly delivered it to us. Once during Covid, we got someone else's sandwich and truly enjoyed it! read more

Really good food and excellent delivery service. Gotten food here many times for but some reason always forget to review them. Highly recommend the Salsiccia pizza. It's just a great tasting pizza. We got the 16", this is a lot of pizza, can easily feed 3 maybe 4 people. The Doormet burger was fantastic, meat itself was thick and juicy but I think what made this really stand out was the housemade onion jam, it added a bit of sweetness and made it much more interesting than a regular burger. The half Rustico deli sandwich my friend thought was good tasting but kinda disappointing portion size, but great if you're on a diet and need to force yourself to eat less. The Truffle Mac N Cheese is my favorite item here, this is what keeps me coming back. I can't get enough of this dish. It's incredible when fresh and hot. This was my first time here and would certainly go back. You order and pay at the counter and then they bring you your food. Not much of an atmosphere- appeared clean. Staff was nice. Doormet is a fine place if you don't feel like cooking and want comfort food. It is not a place I would go out of my way to try, though. I have ordered delivery from Doormet a handful of times, and they are pretty good for a delivery place. The pizza is fine, the pasta is fine, the chicken dishes are fine. Nothing is great, but for delivery, it's all very reasonable. Reasonably priced, holds up in the delivery container, reasonably healthful. I found the cookies to be disappointing, though. I recently ate in the restaurant. It's not full service. You order at the counter. If you want wine, you pull it from the wine rack (although they will open it and bring you mismatched wine glasses). Other drinks are self-service in plastic cups (and the lids for the cups are too small for the standard soda cup they hand out -- the lids only fit the water cups). When we ate in the restaurant, the food was more disappointing. Maybe I expect food to taste better in house than delivered, or maybe it was an off night. But the potato chips were over fried and tasted of carbon. The kid's chicken tenders were good. But the pizza was very mediocre. The wine was very generic and suffered from being kept and served at Florida room temperature. Service was very friendly and polite. read more

We tried this place for the first time and we were impressed! We got carry out and the whole ride home we couldn't stop commenting how good the food smelled. We asked for their recommendation on the most popular dish - the Giacomo. We also ordered the meatball parm, which was loaded with melted cheese, veggies, and meat. Husband enjoyed it. The Giacomo was delicious and definitely a keeper! Every component was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Potatoes are usually unappealing to me because they tend to be dry and tasteless, but I finished the potatoes before anything else on the plate because they were so good. I know this spot is not meant to be a pizza spot but I actually really love their Pizza. They're Brooklyn Pie is delicious. It has ALL the toppings. The crust is not too thick has a nice crisp to it with a bit of chew that I look for in a good pizza. They are generous with their cheese and toppings. I've gotten the pizza many times but I've actually never tried anything else on their menu. Their menu does look very interesting and rotates with seasonal items. Checked out Doormet this past Monday night after noticing its growth in popularity with the local foodies. After reading through the tips and reviews here on Yelp, I decided that I needed to try Doormet's pizza - and since Mondays are my traditional TV & takeout pizza evenings, I swung in and placed a to-go order. The staff was very friendly and welcoming as soon as I walked in. More than one person welcomed me and assured that someone would be right with me. That someone was a younger girl who was incredibly friendly and very attentive to ALL of my questions -- "Is the pizza good?" "Is the half size salad enough for one?" "Can I switch the caramelized onions for red onions?" She provided me with honest (albeit biased) answers and I went with all of her suggestions. I ended up ordering a 10" Salsiccia Pizza (switching the caramelized onions for red onions) along with a half portion of the Caesar salad. The total for my order came to about $18ish. The pizza turned out to be very tasty! The crust was just a little crispy and the ingredients were very fresh - the sausage covered the entire pizza (an ingredient that many restaurants skimp on). I really liked the Caesar salad and found it to be more than enough for one. They make all of their sauces and dressings in-house and the salad dressing was perfectly creamy with just the right Parmesan flavor. I really liked how flexible Doormet is with their ingredients - which makes this a great pizza spot for those who prefer varied consistency in crust or toppings. Dining in does not seem like too much fun as the restaurant has a very casual feel and you're sort of eating with everyone looking at you. But I will definitely be back to try more recommended entrees as take-out options! read more

I'm going with an OK on this one. Not bad by any means, but I was hoping for fireworks based on previous reviews. I did not enjoy in-house service, but rather experienced delivery. It was nothing to rave over. The prices are high and the food portions are rather small. Don't order a half sandwich...you'll be starving as it's probably smaller than the size of your fist. The lobster mac and cheese comes in a tiny soup container and is kind of on the sweet side. I will say that the Cobb Salad was decent and had a tasty dressing with it. The delivery took a really long time (although we ordered to a lesser known apartment complex and the delivery guy apologized). Food was fresh/warm when it arrived and the order was 100% correct. Overall, it was overpriced and I don't think I'd revisit. Probably worth a try if you are going to dine in based on other's reviews. read more

Unfortunately, due to time constraints in 2019, I was not able to use it. In 2020, due to COVID-19, I was not able to travel to my site in Tampa, FL to work.
