I called them and within a couple of days they came out on Thurs, gave me a quote (and a VERY fair quote), and were here Saturday to cut the tree down. They started at 7:30 and were done w/ the tree by 11 and done grinding the stump by around 11:15-11:30. Everyone was incredibly nice and professional. I have 2 more trees that I need cut down and I'm 100% using Arbor for them. They were very fair and very trustworthy. There was a board that broke on my privacy fence...not their fault. The fence is beyond needing repair, but they replaced the board as well. They hauled everything away and even picked up the smaller limbs and twigs. I know there are only 8 reviews, but there's a reason they have a 5.0 rating.

The job that was accepted was too big for them, and that was because Chivarous and his father were communicating over the phone and with pictures. So when it came time to grind the stump from the tree they cut down, the father wanted to increase the price, because it was larger than he thought it was going to be. Mind you, this was communicated to me 1) through Chivarous and 2) after my gutter sustained $1,200 worth of damage due to a falling limb as they cut the tree down. They ARE NOT INSURED. The amount of debris that came from this one tree was substantial and sat in my yard for two days. Because responses stopped while we were texting (read receipts were on), I called the city to see if they would pick up the debris as I thought they were going to leave with me with it. The city called them and the debris began to be picked up at 8:37PM that night after obtaining a truck from GA, I believe. They did a really good job of cleaning it up in the dark and came back the next day to finish the clean up. During the 4-5 days they were here, they also took down a large shed and hauled the materials away. Chivarous was always respectful even despite his father yelling at him during the cleanup. I would say small jobs might be fine, but they don't have the equipment readily available for large jobs on top of the issue of not having insurance. The damage was never even discussed outside of when it came time to pay for the job. I just kept being told that they "can fix it".

I had 5 arborists come and bid the job, and they were very nervous, and the price was pretty high. First Choice didn't bat an eye, and their bid was the lowest by several hundred dollars. At first, I was very hesitant to accept such a low offer; but I used some AI tools to analyze comments and reviews across several sites, and the only negative comment found was that they once removed the "wrong" tree. I decided to give them a chance, and I was VERY pleased. These guys are no joke. They did a fantastic job from start to finish. After creating a list, I start calling around. Most places were OK on the phone. This place was GREAT. Great customer service: Was clueless on what needed to be done. Talked with Brian and he said he would come to the home, look around and leave an itemized typed up list in the mail of things that needed to be addressed, cost, and a time frame for the completion. He initially called late Wednesday morning, and confirmed he'd be out later that same day. He then calls to let me know that he has sent the list out in the mail. Great communication and great cost! Great employees: Sometimes in services industries the face of the company is pleasant but the crews are much less. Not the case, every person worked efficiently and with a pleasant demeanor. Clearly Brian trust his crews and knows he has quality people working under him. There was no harsh words, or smoking, etc. Completely professional staff. Service: Brian and his crew worked beautiful throughout the day Thursday. Arrive before 9 and working through the rain and cold weather. The sun had set but still they continued working.
