Just an update to my original review, less than 24 hours later:
After posting my honest experience, the owner called accusing me of "slandering" his business. He began making inappropriate remarks, including telling me I was trying to take food from his family, commenting about the "evil" inside of me to make me do this and focusing on the fact that my review caused his rating to drop from 5.0 to 4.9 rather than addressing the actual concerns I experienced as a customer.
At no point did he appear interested in resolution or having a productive conversation. The purpose of the call felt more focused on intimidation and aggressively lashing out over the review itself. I ultimately had to end the call because the conversation was becoming increasingly hostile and unproductive.
He then immediately followed up with a guilt driven text message accusing me of attacking his livelihood instead of acknowledging or addressing the unresolved issues that led to the review in the first place. He blocked my account from his Facebook business page.
Original review 5/26/2026:
If you're looking for a tree removal company do not use ArborTech904!!! I felt it important to share with my fellow women so you don't have to subject yourselves to the BS and absolutely misogynistic and sexist comments from the owner.
I hired ArborTech904 to complete tree work at my property. While the tree work itself initially appeared acceptable, the work caused significant damage to my yard. Heavy equipment left deep ruts, holes, and extensive damage to the grass throughout the property. What should have been a straightforward service turned into a frustrating situation that I ultimately had to resolve myself.
The project also took multiple days longer than expected to complete, with very little communication from the company unless I personally followed up for updates on when work would resume or be completed. From the beginning, communication and professionalism were lacking.
Immediately after the work was completed, I contacted the owner regarding the damage. During my first conversation with him about these concerns, he made several condescending remarks, including comments suggesting this was a "manly" line of work and that I should not expect men to do this type of job without causing damage. I found those comments dismissive, unprofessional, and inappropriate rather than addressing the actual concerns I raised about my property. He also took this time to say how he has basically poached all of his workers from other companies because they were the best in the field.
I was told the yard would likely "settle back out" after some rainfall. I explained that this was not an acceptable response, especially since I had previously used another tree service without experiencing this level of property damage. I made it clear that if the company was unwilling to address the issue, I would handle the repairs myself, but I wanted to give them the opportunity to correct the damage first.
I was then repeatedly assured the issue would be addressed and told someone would return to inspect the property and discuss repairs if needed. Trusting those assurances, I waited patiently. However, even after weeks of substantial rain, the lawn did not recover. The damaged areas worsened, and the holes and ruts remained.
Over the following weeks, I made multiple attempts to follow up regarding the promised repairs. Communication became inconsistent and eventually stopped altogether. Despite repeated assurances, no one ever returned to inspect or repair the damage. Because the company failed to follow through, I was forced to fill the holes, repair the ruts, and begin restoring the lawn at my own expense.
When I later spoke directly with the owner again, I was told the employee who originally handled my estimate and follow up no longer worked for the company. The owner then began sharing personal details about that employee, including allegations involving stolen clients and drug use, which I neither asked for nor felt were appropriate to discuss with a customer. Regardless of staffing issues, my agreement was with ArborTech904 as a business, not an individual employee. It remained the company's responsibility to ensure customer concerns and unresolved property damage were properly addressed.
What has been most disappointing is not just the damage itself, but the lack of accountability, communication, and professionalism afterward. I understand mistakes can happen during demanding work. What matters is how a company responds when problems arise. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend and won't use their services again. read more
