Mike accepted payments for my bathroom remodeling project but left the work substantially unfinished. In my experience, several portions of the work were also completed improperly. The faucets and walk-in shower glass enclosures were never installed, the tile work was incomplete, the toilet was not installed correctly, and a leak developed in the vanity area. I now have to hire other qualified professionals to inspect, repair, and complete the project. Mike also accepted an additional payment for a specific portion of the work, but that work was never performed. After receiving the payment, he stopped responding and did not return the money. Despite repeated written requests, he also failed to return unused materials that I paid for and my garage-door remote. A project that was represented as taking approximately five days remained substantially unfinished more than a month later. Based on my personal experience, I would not trust or hire Mike for any project, either personally or through any company he owns, operates, or represents, including North FL Handyman Service or Lawn Greek Jax. In my opinion, this experience raises serious concerns about reliability, communication, commitment, customer safety, property security, and the financial risks of hiring him. I deeply regret trusting him with my home and money and would not recommend his services.

The result was not what we requested, and I ultimately had to go outside and remove what he installed and redesign the rock bed myself using the measurements I originally gave him. I gave him $900 for a sod order, but shortly after receiving the payment the order was cancelled by him because "we aren't ready" when really it was because he kept saying he was coming to do work then not showing up or communicating he was no longer coming as scheduled. Communication was very poor. He frequently did not show up when he said he would and did not notify us when he wasn't coming. He also brought his uncle to pour concrete. They stated they would coordinate rerouting the sprinkler line, but that never happened. When he turned on the sprinklers, I specifically asked him not to turn on zone 4 because the new concrete was there. He turned it on anyway, which cracked the brand-new concrete. At that point our yard was left dug up, rocks were placed in areas we never requested, and the overall condition of the property was messy. We decided it was best to part ways. When I requested a quote for the work that had already been completed (trying to be fair), and to use the $900 cash we paid for the SOD that was canceled by him. He initially said $425 would be returned. Shortly after, he changed that and said I should give him an additional $100 because the work was "hard." then he eventually tried say it should just be $225. So ultimately, he wanted $675 to half way grade the back yard and lay rock where we didn't request it. It has now been three days of being told the refund would be brought to our home, and he still has not refunded anything.
