I brought my lawn mower in because it was sputtering and stalling out, and the blades needed to be resharpened. It was ready within three days and was almost exactly what they quoted. I needed a spring for my mower, but they needed the actual serial number stamped into the engine for them to even look for a part. Why is this necessary when I have my engine model?? Took tool for repair, was told it'd be ready in 2 weeks, took 5 weeks. When I called asking for update, I was treated like I was a bother. Counter staff was especially rude. I called and had S and S service my mower. It took almost 2 weeks for a diagnosis and was told that my mower needed a new engine, no problem I purchased the new engine and brought it to the shop within 2 days. I asked how long it would take for this to be put on, was told it would only take a couple hours and it would be done within a day or 2 because obviously I'm not the only persons mower this shop has. It's been two weeks later, no communication, no phone call, no nothing. I call to only reach somebody that's grouchy at the shop, or talk to the owner himself. Get treated like im bothering them and that I know nothing about anything everytime I call. All I want is to pay my bill and get my mower back so I can mow on my weekend off. All I can say about this business is that all you will get is a bunch of grouchy people who talk to you like you don't know anything, a bunch of empty promises, and no apologies from them for not meeting their deadlines. I will never take my mower to get serviced here again. Paying my bill and looking for a new place. I love small business and support them every chance I get, but this experience was terrible. read more

I took my Husqvarna chainsaw in after it stopped working. Actually, the engine worked properly, but the chain wouldn't move. The staff identified the problem in just a few minutes and ordered parts to replace the damaged components. I was quite impressed by the competence and efficiency of the staff. Took my Stihl trimmer in for new starter cord and was told it would be ready in a week. Went back after two weeks and still not done and woman told me she tells everyone to not expect completion for three weeks. She NEVER told me that. I took my Stihl to Eddie's down the road instead and will NEVER go back to S&S. read more
