It returns with less parts than originally came in with. Causeing more issues with tractor.....then haveing to order more and more parts to keep it running. I am very unpleased with the constant burden of haveing a broke down tractor. EVERY TIME IT IS SAID TO BE FIXED IT IS NOT. they never fess up to their mistakes either and simply blame and charge the customer. Do not bring a tractor here. It is a scam and a big mistake.

We bought 2 farm implements 10 years ago. After listening to our needs, and at their…read morerecommendation, we bought a 7 foot heavy duty shredder and an 8 foot disk mower. Just this year, we had to do our first major maintenance on the modern ag products heavy-duty shredder/bush hog. The stump-jumper pan finally gave out and needs to be replaced ($200-$250). Other than the annual greasing and gearbox oil check, we haven't had to do anything other than clean it after shredding and we have done some heavy shredding with it and it is not shedded. We appreciate their experience and advice and will be doing business with them again as we upgrade to a 15' mower (still keeping our 7' shredder). As for our 8' disk mower we have never had to do anything with it other than the usual annual maintenance. Wharton isn't the closest town with a tractor shop (we are in Bay City), but our next purchase will be with them.

Community Supported Agriculture ...By getting a subscription, you're supporting small, local, organic farms; and you reap the benefits of getting fresh, seasonal veggies and probiotics. Local dirt is good for ya! I pick up my weekly share at Eastside Farmers Market each Saturday. An easy ritual that gets me out of bed and meal prepping for the week by Saturday afternoon (or sometimes Sunday). My sister gets her share out in Katy. Again, multiple pickup locations. About your membership: :: You can share with a friend, which is exactly what I do. At $30 week ($15/person with my buddy) we both get more than enough fresh and seasonal veggies for the week. :: The longer you subscribe, the better the discount you get. :: They let you swap out veggies for others when you pick up your box, in the case you're not feelin' a certain veggie. :: Need to skip a week due to travels or whatever life throws your way? They make it easy to skip a week (there are limits to how many times you can do that.) The farm itself is 288 acres of all sorts of seasonal veggies and herbs. before each week's pickup, members get an email with a photo and list of veggies for the week, along with storage/preservation tips and shared recipes. I've had my membership for 3+ months, and since then I've turned my kitchen into somewhat of a culinary lab. I've made carrot top pesto with my leftover carrot tops, kale chips. pickled watermelon radish, whipped kohlrabi.... I had NO idea what kohlrabi was before LOAM, and now I notice it on restaurant menus and even iin-the-know food trucks. It's amazing how much LOAM has opened me up to not only trying new vegetables, but cooking them. It's not too scary thanks to Pinterest. LOAM also has farm events for members. I wasn't a member back during Thanksgiving, but I saw on their website they had a day of green bean picking for families - what a fun way to educate the kiddos where their food comes and excite them about vegetables and cooking. Love ya, LOAM.

Cool weather, off and on rain, heavy mud stuck to the soles of our feet, grasshoppers and the smells of a farm here on Richmond, Texas. I believe they said it was 288 acres. It used to be prison land but was sold. It's adjacent to a prison. The prison still grows corn. Apparently the prison grew their own produce. They were going to sell some of the land for development I was told. The land wasn't able to be developed. This farm was able to get a lot of acres and farm it. This farm grows radishes, wasabina, cilantro, etc. They sell their produce at Farmers Markets in And around Houston such as the Urban Harvest (which I frequent) It was a great day picking Okra. The farm dog Nikita is about 13 years old, friendly and full of life. They offer memberships. Learn more about Loam in their own words by checking out their website. Definitely "old school" in their ways, which is a good thing to me. I have recommended them to many friends and they all have thanked me, because the big box stores just don't have the experience that Eddie and the crew have.

My mother went in to buy a…read moreused mower and they sold a crappy Honda mower that to begin with was already loose from the handle where you hold it. They sold it for $250 and when she brought it home she could not turn it on. I helped to show her how to get it although I stated that it was loose. I cut the yard with it for about 1 hr before it got late and I came the next day to try and finish and it would not turn on. Because it was over the weekend I could not bring it in. Today my mother took it in and instead of helping her after they told her she has a 30 day guarantee we were told that we "destroyed" the mower which is a out right LIE. They gave us that mower knowing it was not right and they would not even consider giving her the money or even try to make it right, the owner was ABSOLUTLY RUDE and kept dismissing me and told me the only thing he could do was fix it and was not sure how much that would be. DO NOT TRUST THIS ESTABLISHMENT. They are so unprofessional and they sell mowers that are damaged and then try and get more money. There is absolutely no way that I destroyed that lawn mower in one hour on Friday. That is absolutely ridiculous and I hope that you all learn from our mistakes. This place is trash.
