The quoting process was incredibly smooth and it was extremely pleasant to work with them. I had 2 doors installed. I had quoted doors with 5 vendors. Bay King was not the cheapest nor the most expensive, but their level of customer service made it the best value. In the end, their commitment to their customers is well worth the price they quoted. They went the extra mile to help patch up some parts of the wall near the doors. Additionally they also tighten up some parts of the door sweep so for best insulation. The work was prompt and I felt happy that they followed up afterwards. Unfortunately my hardware didn't come in time and when I tried installing it after it didn't quite fit. They were able to set up some time to come address it immediately. Their dedication to their customers is really amazing. We found one on a landlord magazine, another online and Paul's on Yelp. The other two were very expensive and kept trying to upsell. We had Art come to meet us and he was very friendly and upfront about how they do business. We hit it off with Art so the unconventional way of doing things was not a problem for us. He can be trusted at his word. Art made rough measurements (for the initial estimate) and the contractor came for exact measurements. The check cleared normally and Art texted and emailed us about everything. It took three weeks to get the windows and were installed in one day. They did good, clean work. Very professional. My house looks so much better, and can hardly hear anything outside. We had two new windows in the kitchen which we thought were installed wrong, but Art's installers said they were good and that they would be ok (no up sale). They even caulked and painted one little spot to make it nicer. He also didn't try to upsell us when I asked to keep one of the old windows in the dining room because I thought it was "charming" but it doesn't open. (I have since changed my mind and will be getting them to replace it after all.) Installation went smoothly (to us). One of the windows was not the same brand so one of the guys went all the way to the suppliers and returned with the right one WITHIN the day while they were still working. We are very pleased with our 7 dual pane laminated crystal pacific windows. And looking forward to getting my "charming" old painted shut, heat attracting window replaced!!

It's a premium investment and the quality of the product and their customer care reflect that. In the beginning, communication felt a little disjointed however, after I raised it as a concern, I was met with understanding and prompt resolution. Shannon was particularly helpful in answering many questions I had when considering my options; the level of professionalism and willingness to find workable solutions regarding some unique considerations spoke volumes to me about the care they have for their customers. After putting down a deposit, I was immediately provided an installation date and 4-hour window. On that day, we received a text and email letting us know the name of the technician and that they were on their way. We ended up noticing a minor ding and paint issue on the door and our technician, Donnie, was incredibly understanding and immediately called in the issue and scheduled us another installation for two weeks later. Our second installer, Ross, was fantastic- he arrived early on a very hot day, had us inspect the new door first, and finished the job in a little over an hour. The final product looks amazing and blends perfectly with our home. Den Defenders proved that even if minor hitches occur, they handle them with ultimate professionalism. We will definitely be recommending them to anyone wanting security screens.
