If you have tires changed here, it comes with lifetime tires rotations and balance. I didn't know about that until today when I tried to get my car alignment done. The guy at front desk even didn't care when I walked in (he was standing outside smoking and let me waiting at the waiting room). So I waited for another guy came up to take me. He asked why I'm here. I told him that I have appointment, then he asked what do I need. I had appointment and everything was written on the appointment and he was too lazy to check. I told him that I need car alignment. He asked me why do I think I need one. I bought the alignment package here and I can use it whenever I want and whenever I thought I need it. I told him that the car shaking on high speed. He asked if I ever do rotation and balance, I said I don't remember and no one ever mention this to me whenever I came to get alignment. He told me that no one will mention it (do rotation and balance) to customer unless the customer asks for it. I found out that whenever you have a tire replacement with them, you re having free rotation and balance on your tire life. Keep it in mind. I do not like the way of their customer service today and they always try to make money on me whenever I bring the car there. If you know how to fix your car or you have a trust mechanic, it will cost you cheaper than here that way. I feel like they try to take advantage of female customers. I surely got my car part's one side replacement 2 months ago and now they told me that I need both sides (instead of 1 side) replacement. Please be aware of this situation.

One of the guys told me the previous mechanic "cross threaded the lug nuts and to replace them is $360" which is unfortunate but I also heard them tell two other people the same thing during my wait which I found sort of suspicious. It took them 30 minutes from the time they told me they needed to be replaced to the car being done and that labor fee was $254...... Without this absurd labor fee for a less then 30 minute job my review would be much higher. I was told at the time that the brakes were good but in the next couple of months I would need to possibly replace the brakes and rotors which I understood. I took the vehicle in and was informed that the tech was gone for the day due to him being in overtime and my brakes would not be able to be looked at which irritated me because that was not told to me when I scheduled the appointment. I then spoke with Leo who stated he was the manager and that my vehicle was making the noise because I don't drive a lot. Leo informed me that he took the vehicle for a drive sped and braked real fast and the noise went away. I left to go home and began hearing the noise again I am just very disappointed in the service I received, and I have never experienced this before which is why I went back. I think until new leadership or service tech are brought in im going to go elsewhere for my vehicle maintenance.

It was for my daughter's car, she lives up in the Baltimore area. She was driving down to visit today and called me saying the car was shaking badly. Turns out the wheel wasn't even balanced. Worse, when she took it to Duke Street Shell in Alexandria, they found two lug nuts completely missing and a third one barely on, it was so loose it was basically just sitting there. Clear signs the nuts were only put on by hand and never actually tightened. I called the "manager," Chris, to let him know what happened. His response? He said they always use impact wrenches. WOW! He took zero responsibility, didn't care that his shop left a car in a dangerous condition, and hung up the second I said I was going to contact Tire Rack. Completely unacceptable. Don't take your car here.

In both instances, the technician claimed there were five to seven nails in the tires. While road hazards do happen, that number raises serious concerns. Witness the tire removal and test process. Don't trust their practices. The end result? Nearly $800 for two tires and an alignment, justified with statements like, "It's standard to do it, miss." That explanation came across as dismissive and condescending. It is difficult not to feel that women are being upsold or pressured into unnecessary services at this location. To make matters worse, one of my family members was sent away during a snowstorm with the remaining two tires underinflated. She then had to stop at Royal Farms down the street and pay to inflate them herself. That is unarcentable and uinsafe. My concern is simple: customers -- particularly women -- should not feel taken advantage of or pressured into expensive repairs without clear, transparent justification. If you choose to go here, I strongly recommend closely observing the work being done and asking detailed questions before approving additional services. Let's start with two stars (could have been better) then work our way up, shall we? It was easy to make an online appointment for an oil change and tire purchase (they were having a sale on tires and you know I love discounts!). I made the appointment then arranged to drop my vehicle and have a family member pick me up. Low and behold, I get a text the night before saying they moved my appointment. Okay, see how this could have been better? I called and changed the time to my convenience, not theirs. I dropped the car off with explicit instructions that I was buying two new tires, I wanted them put on the front of the car , leaving the back tires alone because they are newer tires than what were being replaced on the front. When I left, things were clear. My car was ready in a few hours (getting better now) and I picked it up. Assuming everything was done as instructed and expected, I paid and drove off (my bad, fist to chest two times). It was only after getting home that I did a double take. I got two new tires alright. They were on the back of the car. This meant my oldest tires were still on the front, and my back tires (newer and meant to be left alone) were gone. Heart sank, sigh............I called and was told to bring it back in. I did so and they got it on the rack immediately and made things right (working our way up to good now). When I say made things right, I mean they REALLY did. They gave me two more new tires and put them in the front as originally requested. It was a costly mistake for them, but by making things right earned my respect. Excellent customer service and accommodation by Derek. He really stepped up to the plate on this one. He listened and did the right thing without blaming or attitude (like my last experience here). Guess what, Firestone? I'm BAAAACK!!
